Howdy everyone! I've been married to my glasses for over 28 years and I was ready for a divorce, the only divorce I ever want. From the front desk staff, assistants, and laser surgeon Dr. Pham, my experience flowed very smoothly as they walked me through their very simple-to-follow instructions. They talked me through the whole thing so if you're an over thinker like myself, this put the racing thoughts to rest. The procedure itself was smooth, quick and wildly painless. I thought blinking would be an issue and even after they explained to me how they numb my eye and keep it lubricated, I still thought I'd have the feeling to blink. Little did my overthinking brain know that it was effortless not to blink. It seems like I've been ranting a bit so I'll summarize that recovery from the SMILE surgery was a breeze. Although my eyes weren't yet fully healed nor at their peak vision, 8 hours from surgery I was able to read from a distance! Incredible! I had -3 & -4 prescription with astigmatism and wasn't able to see anything passed 5inches from my eyes and I was able to read from more than 15ft away. 2 weeks post-surgery and my vision is excellent. 2 months post-surgery and my vision still clocks in at 20/15. Results will vary of course since we don't all heal the same, but the doctors at IQ Laser Vision do a stellar job at qualifying you during your consultation. I was apprehensive about getting lasik just because I was scared but I didn't need to be. Everyone who worked at both the Riverside and the City of Industry offices were super nice and helpful. Dr. Patrick Pham was my surgeon and he went through and explained everything in detail to me that made me help get over my fear. I was very upset when I made an appointment for a free I eye exam, which my insurance would have paid for anyway. They tried to charge me extra out of fees that my insurance always has paid for. I just had both my eyes done almost 2 months now. The procedure was very simple and truly no pain. I was dissatisfied on 1 issue. During my follow up I explained to the technician that I was still having long distance issues. I was told that they had opted to make 1 eye stronger than the other to prevent me from having to wear reading glasses so soon. I felt that they should have explained that to me and that should of been my call. I spent $3500 for my procedure I shouldn't be squinting to see traffic signs still 2 months later. I had an amazing experience! For the the longest time I've been wanting laser correction on my eyes but was always terrified. My fellow final destination people will understand lol. Well it was nothing like that, I got smile and my fear was being able to see/feel the laser. The numbing eye drops were very effective and the whole surgery took maybe 10-15 min and the laser was only active for 30 seconds each eye. All you see is a green light followed by the instruments the doctor uses. The counselor Danielle from Rowland Heights location was incredibly kind, she helped me through the process and answered any questions I had. Dr Hofmeister at Riverside location was super informative, she spoke to me through the entire surgery and informed of what was about to happen before each step which was absolutely reassuring to calm my nerves. They say you'll have clear vision by the second day but honestly I was already able to see great on the car ride home! This is my first yelp review. But, it's been almost a week since I had my procedure and I just want to say IQ Laser Vision does a phenomenal job. I appreciate the front desk staff, the technician, and the optometrist, as well as Veronica (the counselor, sorry I didn't catch anyone else's name). The procedure was very quick, easy, efficient and painless! I only experienced slight discomfort like 20 minutes after the procedure when my eyes started to tear, I took a nap and by the time I was home my vision was clearer! I also had the honor of having the founder Dr. Robert Lin as my surgeon! I didn't even notice until after the procedure. After a few days, I experienced no discomfort, I actually was a bit nervous because sometimes I'd think I'd have contacts on, and I was scared I may attempt to touch my eyes. I kept telling myself don't touch your eyes! The experience is surreal, I am forever grateful. I know this is a little strange to say, but even psychologically I feel healthier because I have perfect vision. I actually got 20/15 when I went to my post op. Another thing I would like to mention is that my eyes feel healthy too, I think they even look less red. I had used glasses and contacts for 15 years! Contacts were getting really irritating when they got my eyes dry or sometimes made my eyes red or burned a few times. My initial consultation was OK, office staff was wonderful. Oscar really goes above and beyond!! He alone gets five stars unfortunately that was not my only experience. I was told my surgery would be $5200 then two days before surgery I was called Danielle then stated my surgery would be $6450. I was a little frustrated. The day of surgery I was extremely nervous and given a Valium, I was then placed in one of the surgery rooms where I was told to pick up the FaceTime call from the surgeon. Dr. Robert Lin stated it would be unlikely if I went ahead with the Lasik that day I would be able to pass the vision portion at the DMV. He stated I would be best suited for a different type of surgery Which was $10-$12,000, but he said I can do lasik if that's what you can afford. While my purse and glasses were in the other room I was then asked to sign documents without being able to read them. I left the office after surgery with severe stinging in my left eye. My husband called the office to us what to do, The staff told him," your wife is just sensitive." Thankfully I did recover and I'm now able to see without glasses or contacts, which I am grateful! If I had to do it all over again I would NOT use IQ Laser Vision! It is my opinion that if you have the option to use a different company, I would! read more

I am so happy to finally have my lasik done with such an awesome experience to share. Everyone at IQ laser vision were 100% genuine, kind, and helpful. They explained everything in detail. I live an hour away and they did the consultation and procedure the same day. My husband even scheduled his own and they did a free consult for him as well. He's getting it done next month!
