Pro: The premium seats were wonderful! Comfy blanket & pillow. Con: Everything else....not so much. Our waitress said she would check back with us throughout the movie but we never saw her after that. Everyone else received their food during the first 1/3 of the movie. I finally had to hunt someone down and ask where ours was. Lousy service all around. The appetizer came....finally. Spring wraps were tasteless and difficult to eat from the tiny table. Don't know why we bothered eating it. Then we waited again....longer....near the end of the movie, our meals showed up. The pizza was limpy & difficult to eat without dropping half the topping on ourselves. The asparagus was tasty when dipped in the lemon sauce but the satay chicken was another matter. 'Satay' means seasoned, skewered, and grilled. The big chunks we received tasted like they had been de-frosted, skewered, and microwaved. No flavor, odd texture. AWFUL! IPics is a business that doesn't know what it wants to be. Why pay big bucks for this? We will go to dinner in a restaurant and then see a movie. IPics.....never again. read more

Ipic used to be my favorite, go-to theater but I agree; it's kind of on a decline for me. I love kids but I really dislike the facts that ipic changed its rules and now lets all ages in. It was perfect to get away even from the teenage crowd for a night out, no offense. And maybe it's because of this all-ages fact, or because the movies are better this summer (??), but I feel like the premium plus seats are selling out way too easily these days. I used to be able to spontaneously decide to go to the theater and have premium plus seats available, but that hasn't been possible lately at all. All sold out. Good for the theater, sure, but sucks for my impromptu movie cravings. Why do I sound snooty and too good for the regular seats? Well, I'm not, but if I'm going to shell out for a fancy theater, I might as well shell out all the way. Premium seats have also sucked in the past because one time, my food buzzer hadn't buzzed for over 45 minutes because the cashier gave me a non-working buzzer. I only found out by leaving the movie and find g my cold food sitting on the counter. Another time, it took equally as long for the buzzer just because it took long. That's why I prefer premium plus where the servers actually check on you. Sigh. I'm writing this as yet another couple of movies I'd hoped to see tonight are sold out. Alas. To the Regal! read more

First time I've visited and my wife and I enjoyed the experience! We chose the Fried chicken and French Toast, Sweet Potato Fries and a couple of drinks. Staff are super friendly, service amazing and food is 5 star. I would come back alone for the chicken!! It had the right amount of spice and crunch and moist in the middle, so so good! Go here for a premium experience and great food. Will be back!! read more

Yeah, yeah, I know. It's a bit of a pricey extravagance, but it is fun! To a few other posters comments, the service can be spotty. Apparently, they just hired a bunch of new people. I've been here twice. Last time, they almost forgot to seat us and brought us in after the trailers had started. You just don't expect that when you pay $22/ticket. Both movies I've seen here were longer movies, big action movies where having impecabble sound and video is important. I do not know that I would go see a shorter movie here. It is nice to have the opportunity to get real food and have drinks, but definitely know you are paying for that luxury and the experience of a smaller, more intimate theater. The blankets and pillows are cozy. The servers are responsive when you initially call them, but your lead time of getting your food can vary. I have had to buzz them and ask a few times. I know many mention this would be a great date night. It can be fun, but know, you will have very broad chair arms and a table in between you. Other than the clear extravagance of the evening, my other comment would be that they keep the house lights brighter than other theaters. (I suppose it's either that or your super silent server would be tripping with your food.) Also, for those who've been, but haven't gone in a while, tix are now $22 with a membership and they no longer have the appetizer, dinner, drink special. read more

Glass of wine (check) Soft warm fuzzy blanket (check) Over sized relining chair (check) Call button - food/drinks to order (check, check, check) Love to watch movies in big relining chair in such a comfortable place, would make you want to put a theater in your home. The cost of tickets is crazy high but does keep the theater size small and more intimate. The overall experience is wonderful, how much more comfort can you get watching movies? I think the blanket is what sold me. When I was recovering from surgery a while back, I was freezing cold and all theaters I am cold. Having a blanket makes the experience better, more enjoyable. Every once in awhile there is a mini-package deal for a movie/snack and you can bundle a date night together. I think you get more info from emails they send on-line via the membership. Also - I have always enjoyed the bar service, arriving a bit early and chatting up the bar folks has been great. Especially if it is a slow evening. If you can get past the cost it is a fun splurge. read more

We were there yesterday for the Star Trek: Into Darkness opening day show and had booked the day before for 3D tickets. When we arrived and seated with our 3D glasses, we were told that the theatre wasn't showing 3D. At first they said it was wrongly advertised on their website, and then the manager said it was a technical problem. When we left, they said it was a wrong theatre reassignment. Firstly, get your stories straight to your staff. That doesn't inspire confidence. Which is it? We know it isn't your staff's fault - from the floor staff to the waiters to the ticketing personnel, everyone was nice. Speaking of ticketing personnel, why weren't they told of the problem when checking in? They were handing out 3D glasses and everything. We were asked if we'd like to go for the midnight showing but this was an evening planned out with quite a bit spent on babysitting and getting out of work early, so we can't really wait for a later show for four hours (our showing was for the 745pm show). In the end, the manager was nice enough to give us free tickets for another show and complimentary drinks, but being big fans of Star Trek, having waited a long time for this movie and having planned a big night for it down to what we thought was the perfect theater to enjoy our premiere, the experience was far from perfect. We spent something like $140 on tickets and food/beverages, $40 on babysitting and driving about 20 miles to and from the theatre - but this cost is nothing compared to our ruined premiere. I think your staff tried their best to handle a bad situation but whoever is managing this theater needs to get their act together. Give them the training they need esp. for such opening day of a big ticket movie. You are a gold class service after all. read more

Incredible movie experience! We saw Cinderella last night and it was such a treat! Parking was easy and free. I so appreciated that there were signs up showing us where to go for parking. It was about a 25 minute drive from Seattle (on the way back, the 520 bridge was closed and that was a real pain, but no fault of the theater). No one in our party had been to iPic before, so it was quite the experience when we walked in the doors! It looks like there's a whole restaurant and bar area. We were pretty stuffed from dinner before, so we got our tickets (after purchasing online) and walked into our movie theater. When we purchased the seats, I was worried that being in the very back row was going to be an issue. It so was not! While we were quite a distance away from the actual screen, the last two rows (the upgraded seats) were stadium style so you don't have to worry about looking over anyone's heads! It was FANTASTIC! The seats reclined at the touch of a button! We had folded blankets and a pillow on each of our chairs when we walked in, so we were able to get our cozy on! We totally weren't expecting to have a glass of ice water and complementary popcorn brought out just before the movie. You can even have food and drinks delivered to your chair. This is how movies theaters should be! And the icing on the cake? There were NO crying babies or annoying teens! LOVED it! I don't believe there is a 21+ policy, but we didn't have to worry about that. You should definitely check out the bathrooms while you're there. They were beautiful! Very clean and very spacious. It made me want to powder my nose. Every single person in my group said that this was THE best movie experience they had ever had. It was so special! read more

Mixed review. We have had a better experience in the past. The food was good, we ordered pretzel sticks and the mini burgers. The service was fast and super helpful. They immediately met us as we walked in and explained the menu to us. The seating is comfortable and it is nice to have a tray or a table (depending on what seat you buy) that can make the food experience superior to a regular theater. Lots of elbow room to stretch out. It is, however, time to stop reusing the 3D glasses. For the money we paid for this theater, I expect new, clean, 3D glasses. The ones they were handing out were filthy, scratched and nearly impossible to see through. The colors on screen were off when wearing them. I've been in theaters charging $8 a seat that gets me a new pair sealed in a bag. The bathrooms were in serious need of cleaning. Especially the ones near the theaters. Garbage overflowing, floors wet. My wife tells me that the women's room was in better shape however. read more

I was wandering through Redmond Town Center today and stopped in to see Downton Abbey at Ipic theater. If you have a car go on to another theater. No one told me which door to enter, which seat was mine, or where the controls were for the seats. one guy finally told me which seat was mine. No numbers or letters marked my space. Very few attendants, but as they zoomed past me they Threw me a bag of popcorn, which flew all over. Finally I stopped these running people and told them I Needed water to take my meds. After a while I got water. I couldn't read the magnificently overpriced mini food on their menu because I had no light! There was only a waiter with a failing flashlight, I could barely read it as he held it under his flickering flashlight. I won't ever subject myself to that theater again. You have been warned. read more

First time there today and it was a decent experience. We purchased the premium $27 seats and loved that you could essentially lay down, but the seats were pretty unclean and the cracks between the seats were borderline gross. A lot of old food and sticky treats left uncleaned. We were told we could order in the theater, but couldn't figure out how to page anyone and no one came so we went back out to the lobby and ordered there, no big deal and then they delivered it to us. Our server was very pleasant, but almost wish they had some way to order without a server coming in and having to help during the film. But all in all it was an ok first experience, not sure if it was worth $70 but still fun.. read more

Beautiful theater, very trendy, clean, classy, you name it. They want to appeal to the $$$ class tho. PRICEY...Had my first experience there and the drinks are priced as expected (about $8-9 for cocktails and wine). The movie tickets were either $18 for the front 2 rows of regular seats or $28 for the recliners that got service in their seats. RETURN?... As far as the movie itself, we saw a hilarious movie which made the whole experience worth it, but I probably won't be back anytime soon. SUMMARY....The seats they put in the front of the recliners are leather comfy seats but have stiff backs (even regular theater seats recline a little) and our necks were strained looking up the whole time to see the movie. Definitely not worth the $18 and paying that price you feel like the poor kids sitting in the front that don't even get service by the waiter. The $28 seats would be a great movie experience and lots of fun, but that's not a price I would ever pay to see a movie. Needless to say, if you have the $$$, go ahead and get the recliners and have a great time. Otherwise, save a lot of money and pay half the price and go to Lincoln Square and have just as great of an experience. read more

Excellent for a date. Service isn't the fastest... which is fine to me since you're trying to watch a movie. I HIGHLY recommend getting in 30-15 minutes early to get into the theater as soon as it opens and order before the movie starts. That smooths out everything. The premium plus seats are a MUST for a date. If you have a group the normal seats are fine just make sure you bring in a fresh drink for when the movie starts :D read more

my highest recommendations! Not sure how anyone could leave a bad review. The food is awesome! The drinks are awesome! How many theaters give you great courteous service while your chillaxing on a reclining chair with a blanket and pillow? I've been here 5 times and every time the staff is fantastic! Don't listen to these nancy's that have anything bad to say. Trust me just go, you will love it!! read more

If I made a ton of money, I'd attend every movie here. LUXURY - I always feel like I'm a celebrity or get the special treatment when I go here! I always upgrade to premium seating - pure comfort, complimentary popcorn, and I need to find ways to stay awake because I am on a cloud with the recliner seats! The employees are courteous - they never get in your way during the movie and never interrupt the good parts! I always have fun! PLUS I love that there aren't screaming babies and teenagers there!!! read more

The iPic is a great place to go when you can get the "premium plus" seats in the back of the theaters. The waiters take your order, serve drinks and food, and hand out free popcorn during the movie and the seats are incredibly comfortable. The normal seats are overrated and overly expensive and food and drink are not served. I would recommend the "premium plus" seats over a standard theater any day. read more

I'm now spoiled for watching movies anywhere else. Seriously. A "normal" theater just doesn't cut it any more. iPic is exceptionally comfortable, and overall a great movie-watching experience. The food is good, the service usually OK (they have their moments, good and not-as-good) but I come mostly for the comfort. I will add my voice to those who DISagree with the new under-21 allowed policy. It was one of the things that drew me here in the first place and I'm hoping that they will reconsider and reinstate the original. read more

If I had my choice, i'd see every movie at iPic but since it's in Redmond it's not particularly convenient. The seats remind me of First Class seats on an airplane. Very comfortable and you can recline back and relax. I like the idea of ordering food during the film and the menu selection is pretty good, the food I've tasted was OK but fairly expensive. I think this is an area they could do some work on. read more

This place is a great place to see a movie -- once every 6 months or so. I get the reasoning for the increased price but whoa buddy does my wallet feel it. I like to save the trips to iPic for those movies that I know I'm going to like, else it can feel pretty crappy walking away from a bad movie having sunk this amount of dough. That said, if the movie's particularly bad, there's always the pillow and blanket - most expensive nap you've ever bought. The food also could be improved. The menu has exciting options, but they don't quite live up to expectations. read more

This was the best place we could have picked to watch The Hobbit. (We went back for the second installment when I was home again in December) I don't get the "extra premium" seats (I can't remember what they are called at this current time... premium plus?), but even just the nice seats are SO worth it. Comfortable and roomy, with a flip out table from the arm for my tasty treats. You can eat and drink in the Salt Lounge prior (or after) the show, or grab something from what they call Tanzy Express and bring it in with you to the movie. Food from here has been quite enjoyable for me, but bear in mind it can take a little bit to get your food... things like the truffle fries or tater tots with bacon ketchup will take a little bit. But they are tasty. I think some time coming up when I go back I may have to splurge and get the reclining seats with blanket and wait service. Even if you don't, the oversized leather chairs are worth it. Particularly for movies on the 3 hours or more side of things... like The Hobbit. read more

Only 3 stars for now. We saw the Hobbit in 3D over a year ago. For some reason our premium seats didn't recline and weren't comfortable. My legs were asleep by the end of the movie. To avoid this issue in the future, I've tried to only book Premium Plus seats. But, there are never any seats available for various times/shows. I really want to give the theatre an opportunity to redeem themselves. I will keep trying, because I love children are now allowed. Our kids are well behaved and in social/adult situations so they know how to behave (thank you for a good Southern mother and grandmother that taught me well in order to teach my own). For the "kid hater" reviewers, may I suggest the other eat/drink/movie theatres in Seattle and in Issaquah that are 21+. Redmond is a family suburb of Seattle, after all :) read more

Date night. So, of course we check movie times online because isn't that was the rest of the world does? We arrange dinner plans accordingly to make sure we get there in time for the 9pm showing of the new Wall Street movie. "Two for the 9pm showing please". "Oh, we don't have a 9pm showing tonight". "Really? Well that's not what your website says." "Oh, it's open for every night of the week but tonight". "Why is that?" "Because there is a bachelorette party that rented out that theater". "Alright, well that blows". **Granted their website says "Show times are updated weekly and are subjected to change without notice." But it still blows. We could've planned to see this movie in Bellevue perhaps, or a different movie. But being that we arranged for a babysitter to watch our baby while we had date night, we had to be back by a certain time. If we were flexible I guess we might've rolled with it. But being that we planned specifically for a 9pm movie, this didn't work for us. Most likely will not be returning to this theater. read more

First class service in a movie premier event atmosphere and YOU are the star. Everybody that works here is at the top of their game from when you enter until you leave. The best thing about this experience is the ability to select your seats beforehand. With an extensive wine list and twelve beers on tap, it would be hard not to find a bevy or two to enjoy with the film. It doesn't cost anything to be a member and you get a great discount for being one. The food menu can accommodate the vegetarian (I recommend the portobello sliders). Appetizers range from 10-15 bones so its easy to break a benjamin if you are hungry. The menu is also available online. Great job Gold Class Cinemas. I'm happy to be a Gold Member . . . finally! The folks at iPic reached out to me after reading my Yelp review. They were very apologetic and made it clear how much they value the customer experience. I am always very impressed when management take reviews seriously and I agreed to give iPic theaters another shot. During my first visit, there was only the "premium seating" left for the movie we wanted to see. This time we were sitting in the Premium Plus seating. The difference is major. Instead of leather, it's soft cloth and it practically lies flat! Plus they give you a blanket, a pillow, and you have waiter service throughout the movie. No sitting there with dirty plates because you can hand them off! ALSO, you can order from the full menu and have it brought to your seats. The premium plus seating is absolutely worth the extra $8.50. Extremely comfortable. Now back to the food. Hubby & I both ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and then we shared a caesar salad as well. The sandwich was good but a bit too dry without dipping into the soup. The soup was quite yummy. I wasn't super excited about the way they do the caesar salad. It's like spears of romaine lettuce, spears of bread/cracker, and it sits in a bunch of caesar dressing. It's clever because you don't need a fork.. but I wouldn't order it again. More awkward and less fulfilling than it would have been to just use a fork and eat it in a more traditionally prepared way. If I lived anywhere near Redmond, I would probably just get a membership here. The prices are more reasonable and it seems worth it if you're an avid movie goer. The premium plus seating really does kick ass. _____________________________________ Another little update add on. I did not realize until I read the owner's comment that the membership is free. I have signed up. That totally earned iPic the last star. read more

Darn you iPIC!!!! I never really liked going to movies. Sticky floors, popcorn, cellphones, kids talking through the movie... but once I went to iPic (formerly Gold Class) I had a 'Hallelujah' moment. I am willing to pay the extra price to go to such a quality environment. The food is good, the drinks are nice. The amazing seats??? PRICELESS. No one talking through the movie is another reason I go. The staff are friendly and the whole movie watching experience is fantastic. Initially when they first took over for Gold Class, things weren't as solid and I missed Gold Class. But I'm glad I didn't give up on them! They have consistently improved and I am impressed with the results. They take feedback well and truly seem to care about the patrons. The only negative for me is the location. I live so much farther away from Redmond now, I don't get to go as often! ETA: Looking through the reviews, I see that the cinema now welcomes children during all shows. I am not sure how I feel about that, thus I reduced my stars. Shows during the day? Maybe. But shows after 5pm should remain 21 and over. I have a 13 year old, so I appreciate she could join us, but if I am paying $60 just for the seats, I am not sure I want to share that space with kids... it does make me rethink going to the theater. read more

We are movie junkies. We found this place and wound up visiting on 3 different occasions while in the area. We did the full boat recliners, drinks and food. Everything was top notch. So me and my homeboy decided to go see "Kick Ass" (which was good btw). I walked toward the door and noticed this theater looks very different than what I'm used to. We walk inside and the place is like a fancy dim lighted lobby at a hotel. I was like okay this is very cool. The guy at the counter told us the total was $22.50. So I told him we're going to pay separate and thought it was going to be $11.25 but NO that's for one person. I was like WTF!! and then realized this is like one of those fancy theaters, not the AMC that used to be there. I had my AMC discount coupons too. I'm always down for something new so I was like whatever even though my homie said "You looked like your were going to jump out the door when your heard the price." The seats are nice and comfy. I wish I knew about the complimentary blanket and pillow. They do offer complimentary soft drinks and I'm glad the waitress told me that part. They also offer a free appetizer if you mention a certain radio show sorry my friend knew and I don't remember what it was. I ordered the Crisp Lobster rolls because it was the most expensive($18). They were basically lobster egg rolls, which were great since they were free, haha. With the free stuff the experience was awesome. The reclining seats felt so good, I had mine reclined all the way to the back. I wouldn't come here on a regular basis but would definitely come back for a long movie. read more

So it was ok. I'm a veteran of Cinaberre and Cinetopia, so it was interesting having this to compare. The seating is comfortable, and i like the fact that the fancy chairs that recline. They don't have an adjustable arm though, so no snuggling up to my sweetie. The food was tasty, but expensive. The theme of the entrees seems to be 3 things on buns for about $15. Three sliders, three meatballs, three filets, whatever. No sides included, those come extra. I wasn't brought napkins and found it a little awkward to balance our plates on the narrow table. The service was only ok. Drink refills were very slow in coming and i never got offered a second cocktail. When the waiter showed up, he'd lean forward over me, freaking me out every time. What makes this a four was our time in the bar before hand The buffalo chicken eggrolls were good, my gin and tonic was tasty and the service was good. We'll give it another chance, passing up the entrees, and sticking with drinks and apps or dessert. read more

iPic theater is probably the best movie theater in the Seattle area. They have very comfortable chairs (with pillows and blankets included), amazing device, good food and great selection of beer, wine and cocktails. iPic has really good screens and sound. This place is hard to beat. I tried other theaters in Seattle area that offer food and drinks and nobody comes even close. Cinerama's screen is probably better, but their seats aren't nearly as comfortable as iPic's, nor do they have the drinks & food selection iPic has. Also, with iPic you can order food while you watch the movie without having to get up from your chair! Most other places you actually have to get out the theater to go pick up your food from the concessions desk. read more

Loving the upgrades! I remember mentioning that it would be nice if all the seats had service. We used to try and get online a week early to book the VIP seats only to find out they were all booked out. Now with all the seats having service we don't feel like we're missing out. I also really like that there's a call button. Before there were long breaks between drink rounds. Now with the service button I can call when needed. The seats are even a little bit more private now with a wrap around cubicle-like wall that blocks the view on either side and mostly behind. Never going to another movie theatre read more

Upscale theater concept, nice facility and amenities--- but as a frequent patron, I'm giving only 2.5 stars because of 'consistently inconsistent' service. PRO: Gold Class is an especially good place to catch movie premiers--- higher ticket prices act as crowd-deterrent, leaving plenty of available seats for online purchase. CON: Some nights, the wait staff is certainly more responsive (and accurate) than other nights--- no matter how empty or crowded the theater may be. P.S. Don't particularly like having to carry my own dining menu(??!!) to my reserved seat. Would prefer to have menus waiting at said 'reserved seats.' read more

My favorite movie theatre to date. I recently found this place and this has definitely set the bar for the other movie theatres. I absolutely love the super comfortable recline able seats and storage area. I was amazed that I got serviced by a waiter and received free popcorn (a little salty tho) and blankets/pillow. It was so comfortable that my friend fell asleep during Bourne Legacy lol. Most expensive nap ever! However, I am also amazed by their personal service. They made a mistake with our tickets the very last time my friends and I were there and totally took ownership and helped us out. We're not a complainer and didn't expect for them to help us out the way they did. They totally took it to another level. I love everything about this theatre. They also keep the bathrooms super clean! It's like going to a really fancy spa but you're watching a movie! :D read more

My first iPic theater experience was a success. We walked in and had to sign up for a free membership before we bought our $12 movie tickets. The $12 is for the lower seats but the seats are still very comfy and the theater small so you feel more intimate. You can pay $18 for the better, bigger seats with free popcorn and blankets. COOLEST THEATER IN LIIIIFE. I read a review of iPic on Yelp and immediately got on their website, became a member and bought Premium Plus tickets in their amazing reclining chairs. It was a little spendy for the recliner tickets, but worth every penny. Comes with a complimentary bag of popcorn which pretty much made the extra cost okay. Haha. When we arrived, it did not seem like you were walking into a theater. It looks like a cool, modern restaurant. To the right is the restaurant/bar area and to the left you can buy snacks, drinks and pour yourself some wine before heading into your movie. Walk on back into the theaters. We found our reclining seats and got comfy. I made good use of my blanket (comes with the reclining seats). I admit, I almost fell asleep I was so comfortable - not a good idea when paying money to see a movie. Anyway, you can order food and drinks while seated in the theater. A server comes to take your order and the food/drinks come out fairly quickly. However, it was just us and another couple in this movie, so I'm not sure what the wait is like when it's filled. The tater tots and calamari were good :) My husband got the buffalo chicken spring rolls, which I didn't care for because it just didn't match in a spring roll. LOL. But he loved it. The only things with ordering food and eating it in the movies is that it is hard to do in the dark. And when you order (server came after movie started) and receive food, etc, you kind of get distracted from the movie. If it's possible (and I'm not sure if it is), try to get food before movie starts. Otherwise, this was a fun experience and I'd love to do it every now and again (I would do it more if it wasn't a tad pricey). BECOME A MEMBER, IT'S FREE! read more
