The stars are on the actual establishment alone!! This is an awesome spot for a date night with the hubs or wifey. Under no circumstance will I ever bring the kids back here. It's super expensive for tickets and concessions. We went to see Ant man and wasp girl and the tickets for 4 of us was over $60. Then we bought concessions and of course popcorn wasn't gonna do it. So we had the pretzels, popcorn, and truffle fries and 2 drinks to share... over $60. Mind you we haven't even eaten dinner yet. So I loved my experience The reason I'm giving three starter is because just trying to book the tickets online was very difficult. it took us four tries just to book the tickets, apparently you have to register an email and it doesn't really explained on the website the steps to take to buy tickets. Then im marking off another star because when my fiance and i entered the bar or lounge area it took awhile for anyone to even come over to ask of us for drinks. Our server seemed very fake and it really wasn't that busy. Once we sat down in the movies our server was very kind the food we ordered was delicious. This was back when they had both Premium and Premium Plus seating so you could choose to save $10+ and reserve a non reclining seat without waiter service. Food was still overpriced, but we put up with it. They later switched to Premium Plus seating only, with a total cost per seat of $24 for Gold Members ($50/yr) or $28 for the free membership. No surprise that IPIC's stock price has dropped 98% in less than 2 years. I can't rationalize that much for a movie, so I'm going to just burn through my remaining gift card balance and never go back. read more

I've been enjoying iPic for many years, ever since the pricey hand lotion in the men's restroom left my hands smelling deeply of almonds and there was a red "Call" button between the seats to send for an attendant. Since then, iPic has gone through several service and styling changes, some adding to the movie experience, some resulting in a head in the middle of the screen during a crucial scene. The latest renovation had promise, two person booths were a definite plus, but the business model, or should I say the profit model, has changed from customer service to customer exploitation. Last winter, I went to iPic to see a film and was told that the old loyalty levels were no longer being used and iPic had changed to what they called a "club," model. That meant paying $50 to be in the "club," that would be offset by two free birthday tickets, and 10% off on food and drink. Sounds like an OK deal that would save a few bucks, that is until I tried to claim my two birthday tickets. I was told last night that they are only usable in the month of my birthday! I missed it by a month, there is no grace period, and now the "club" fee I paid was no longer a deal, but a sleight of hand from my wallet into the iPic coffers. Like the old days, blankets are available, and one bag of popcorn if you like it slightly stale and cold. You get the popcorn and any ordered food near the beginning of the movie, after that, no attendant showed up until the bill came to be signed. Add the drink bill to the ticket cost ($56 for 2), and watching Spiderman (which I thought was very good) cost about $80. Fortunately, we had eaten before or it would have been well over a $100, before tip. The 10% discount on food and drink was nowhere to be found on the bill. On my way out I saw it advertised as a club benefit, but noticed a tiny asterisk that equated to "with restrictions." I don't know what the restrictions are, it didn't say, but I guess they apply even for a 9:00pm movie in a mostly empty theater. Before the renovation, the powered premium plus seats used to make a mechanical noise when adjusted. It was annoying and interfered with the movie experience. Since the renovation, the mechanical noise is less noticeable, only to be replaced by the sound of artificial leather when the chair is adjusted. I won't describe the sound, but it is one you usually only hear in the privacy of home, car, or to the disgust of your closest family and friends. So much for adjusting the seat, unless you want angry eyes turned your way. Winter is coming in a few months and I'm sure to receive email from iPic reminding me of all of the benefits of club membership, none of which I received from last year's membership drive. I won't be renewing. There are other theaters, on the Eastside, that offer a like experience at far less cost, and no bait and switch club fee. I do have hopes of returning to iPic someday. I optimistically believe that other customers, like me, will become tired of leaving the theater feeling fleeced, and rebel at paying a valueless club fee. Maybe the person at iPic who dreamed up the fee will be fired, and someone will take over who values customers, and the customer experience, instead seeing customers solely as wallets full of money to be skimmed. read more

Wow am I disappointed. We hadn't been in in a few years. We absolutely loved it before. The seats were super plush and comfortable and we were provided with blankets, pillows, and free popcorn. Instead the seats have been replaced with mediocre uncomfortable recliners. The headrest was so out of whack that it actually hurt to recline. There are weird walls up around all of the chairs. It no longer feels premium at all. We had to pay for the popcorn and it wasn't as good as it used to be. Also with the seating configuration the aisle is like you were looking directly at the exit sign instead of looking at the screen. Service before was four star and helped really make the experience. It was just average this time. I think if I had never been before and didn't know what a positive experience it was before I wouldn't be so irritated but we really really loved it before. We have to drive quite a ways to get there and felt like it was totally worth it before for a special occasion. It's not worth it anymore. I would rather just go to a regular movie theater that is closer since this doesn't feel special at all. Super bummed. read more

I visit this theater weekly, and I have noticed a steady decline. The perks included in the premium seat could justify the price, were the service actually up to par. The complimentary pop-corn is REALLY salty - I love popcorn but after the first couple of mouthfuls I swear I get a headache. The food is not gourmet quality but it is quite enjoyable, albeit overpriced. There is no way to get a waiter's attention after they have served you short of getting up from your seat, disturbing both your experience and that of the people next to/behind you. I got the Cheddar Biscuits which come with maple syrup butter, and no utensils with which to spread the butter - I had to wait until the next round of "is everything ok" 30mins later for someone to realise this dish needs a knife. Overall, 3-4 months ago I would have gladly given it 4 stars, but nowadays I feel it's really not going well. Maybe it's the summer dead period and it will pick up again now that it's fall - only time will tell. read more

I took my 3 children here to see a movie. We ordered as soon as we got to our seats. It took 45 min for 2 of us to get food. The other 2 never received theirs. My 6 yr old told me she was hungry the entire movie. I asked a couple wait staff who said it was coming. Finally I was told the order did not get put in. We received their food boxed 5 min before the movie ended. They attempted to make me pay for this food! I spoke to a manager who took off only the 2 meals of chicken strips and fries. My meal came but with no utensils so it went to waste. It was a horrible experience for such an experience place. The dinner and a movie experience was ruined. I called back after leaving and they finally said they would take my entire food bill off, which was almost $100. I got no compensation for my ruined movie experience. So sad. I used to think so highly of this place. We drove about an hour to get there. They should have also offered tickets to another movie, but sadly I think that was our last time going there. read more

This theatre is great. The personal pods are amazing. The price is very deceiving. No where on the website when pitching the ticket that your are purchasing a VIP experience. When we showed up the ticket had a list price of $16. I paid $28. I asked the front desk and she said the extra $12 is for the "personal VIP" experience. The pillow, blanket and pod. They need to disclose this on their website when purchasing the ticket. If they do list it it is very small and hidden cause I looked everywhere when paying and NO WHERE does it list that. It sure would be nice knowing what your money is going towards at the time of purchasing the ticket. read more

Update: I gave ipic another chance to redeem themselves due to a friend's birthday. I didn't think the service could get any worse. But it did. At least four food items were put on our table, left there, and then picked up several minutes later. The items were then taken to ANOTHER TABLE. We could have tampered with the food! A glass of red wine was set down at one point, and than retrieved several minutes later. Someone could have tampered with that glass of wine as well, had they desired. Our food came but I wondered where it had landed first, before finding us. My friends ordered second drinks that never came. The 10% discount was again ignored and when I asked the manager (Gerald?) he told us that our membership was only a silver-so we had to prove our gold status to get the discount. read more

This was my first time visiting an iPic theater. We saw "Annihilation" earlier today and enjoyed the VIP experience--cushy recliners with a pillow and blanket to make an already comfortable movie experience even more relaxing. The food was great! I had the green goddess turkey sliders and my boyfriend had the breakfast quesadilla and we shared a side of waffle fries. Love, Love, Love IPIC!! My husband & I come here all the time. Their app is so easy to navigate, I just book a movie from the IPIC app, easy breezy. They also have a great rewards program that you can sign up for. The food menu is plentiful, so much to choose from & the drink menu . The food always comes out hot and fresh. My husband and I always share the truffle fries, to die for! The waiters are very attentive too. When our son or guests are in town, they always ask to go to IPIC, they love it too. My friend got us and another friend 3 tickets to "A Star is Born" for my birthday. She is a member. They messed up our seats, and gave them to someone else. She sent me a screenshot of the seats she purchased, so we knew the seats they stuck us with were not correct. The management did give us free passes. I want to see Rocketman with the passes for my 3rd friend who was with us for her birthday, May 30. I tried calling the number and it goes to Texas where the person said they can't help me nor do they have any way for me to contact management at the Redmond location. She said I need to go in person. I live in Seattle and don't get over to Redmond except for going to the actual movie, so that is inconvenient for me. I would like management to contact me and give me the two seats selected in the picture attached please. It's gone down hill. For Starters it's no longer 21+ , which was a big reason I used to go here. If I wanted to be around kids and teens i'd go to a cheapo theater. The last time I was in there, was a late night show not a full Movie at all. The check in process took 15 minutes. After sitting down no waiter came to ask for drink or food order. Finally after the Previews started I noticed they have a button now. Pushed that, took 15 more minutes for someone to come by and ask what i wanted. Went for the first time with my family (3 adults and 2 kids) and candidly I don't get all the bad reviews. Sure, the seats are more expensive, sure the food and beverage are (slightly more) too. But you get what you pay for. The theatre isn't a cattle-call and the seats are like first class on a plane. Also, the service was great. Yes, it takes slightly longer to get your drink/food due to the distance the servers need to cover. But I felt they were super attentive and if there were any (small) issues they took care of it! Husband treated me to a date last night which included IPic. We started in the bar. We walked into a nearly empty room and about 4 servers. We sat down and were ignored for a solid 10 min. My husband had to walk up to the bar to get attention and ordered from there. Took another 10 min for someone to show up with water. Then another 5 min for our drinks. The food actually came out quickly and was quite good. Truffle fries, sliders and chicken skewers all flavorful and included tasty sauces. But at no time did anyone come over to ask if we liked the food, wanted another round or needed anything else. Only came long after we were finished and we asked for the bill. Then we settled in our seats for the movie and again no one came until the movie was just about to start although we were there 15 min ahead. The theatre is elegant, the seats always comfortable and we pay a lot for that and the food and expect service to be on par and it definitely was not. :( read more

This is the only place I would ever come to watch any movie. The seats are extremely hard to get, you sometimes have to reserve them a week ahead to get them. (Note: We were sitting in the premium plus seats.) The seats are comfortable, and you are given a blanket and pillow. You can recline in the seats. The service is excellent, they check on you a couple of times. The food is delicious, I would recommend the margherita pizza, and also the truffle fries. The parking easy to find on a normal day, it may be hard to find one right next to the theater, but normally it's fine. All four experiences that we had here were fabulous, no complaints. This is the best spot to watch any new movie, no question. read more

There have been some major renovations as of October 2018. All seating is premium plus now (for those of you who have been before October). The pricing is the same ($28) but smaller seats and less service. The iPic website does not make it clear on their website of all the changes that have taken place Changes: -Blankets are upon request -You have to push the call button to order food or drinks, whereas before it was full dining style service -Water is no longer standard, you have to request it -Service is extremely slow and you may not get all of your requested items let alone in a timely manner. For example, I had asked for water and blankets for everyone I was with, only two of us ever got them. I ordered food and my son's pizza finally came towards the end of the movie after having to use the call button again and asking the server. To her credit, she did take the pizza off the bill. I was fine paying for it though, It would just have been nice to have had it on time when I ordered the other food. You have to press the call button several times to get items you requested or ordered -the seats are now all pods (minus the handicapped row; row C, in the middle. This is fine if you have an equal number of people but if you don't, you're sharing a table and intimate space with a random stranger Most AMC theaters now have the same nice recliner chairs but half the cost, so iPic is no longer an anomaly. Also, The Cinebarre in Issaquah is an older building but has the services that iPic used to have for less the cost. We won't be going back to iPic, it's no longer worth the price. Love the premium reclining seats. It is so nice to sit in the large reclining seats at the back of their small theatres. You can recline, and there is a wait staff to take food and drink orders. Complimentary popcorn in the premium section, as well. I have a lower back problem, and have always just made do in regular seats in the past, but always in pain. Being able to adjust the recliner whenever I want to whatever position suits me is so nice. I can adjust my position without worrying about bumping into other people's seats. For me, adjustable, roomy seats are a game changer! read more

We returned to iPic last Friday with our daughter to watch Jurassic World. Again, we found the theater and seating very clean and the staff accommodating. The problem remains the food. While we understand that iPic has to prepare food items quickly, virtually everything on the menu is deep fried and greasy - And super salty. Drinks are ok, but I recommend not eating in the restaurant or in the expensive seats. read more

We finally made it to IPIC for a movie. We went on a Monday afternoon so we pretty much had the small theater all to ourselves. We were a group of 7 so we occupied an entire row. You sit in pods of two so if you're in a group you can't really interact with your group, but you are paying $28 per person so chatting with your neighbors is not an option (wink wink). We weren't familiar with the setup so when we booked online, we didn't realize our seats were a few feet away from the screen. We had the cashier change our seats and she was very accommodating. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. The photos online show you get a pillow and blanket with your premium tickets, but we had to ask for it since it is now by request only. No more pillows, just blankets (not sure how sanitary these are so I won't go there...). Food was good - I ordered the sliders (you get 3) and a side of truffle fries and a drink. Oh, you also get complimentary popcorn with your ticket. Service was good, but it did take awhile to get our drinks and food. Overall, the experience was good and I would definitely return (but not on a weekend). read more

My stars are for the service and atmosphere. Who doesn't love getting waited on while watching a movie in a recliner with a blanket and pillow? The missing two you ask - the overpriced, just decent, food and drinks. I've had the sliders, flatbread, most of he appetizers etc. and it's all expensive and quick serve style for $15-$20 each on the better items. I shouldn't expect so much from a theater but for $25 per ticket you'd think it'd be a little better. You do get delicious "free" popcorn with the premium seats, but I'd recommend eating somewhere else first. read more

Maybe it's cuz I spent 20 years in LA....but this place is so overhyped and overpriced it's crazy. The ticket price would lead you to think you get top notch service. For what you pay you expect hand and foot service. NOPE!!!!! Took 20 minutes to get a server and 15 minutes more to get drinks. We ordered Nachos for $15. When it finally arrived (30 minutes later) we counted 10 chips...TEN CHIPS!!!. That's $1.50 per chip. AND....they were burned. We sent them back. I ordered a bottle of wine. I was well aware that it was priced 3 times as much as in the store but willing to pay cuz it's the first date night my husband and I have had in a long time. This is a big deal for us. I just want to have a nice night. Long story short....this theater is way over priced, under serviced, and so so so so not worth your money.... unless you're super rich and have money to burn. Really fun place. The VIP seats are pretty cool. They are large comfy seats that recline and they give you a blanket too. They have a full menu and a server comes around and takes your order while your enjoying the movie. We were shocked to get complimentary popcorn too! How cool is that?! Marketing managers for Gold Class Cinemas, please take note and amend your signage and advertising because I really want this place to still be here for me to visit on my next trip to Seattle. For my 800th review, I'm going to share with you the most amazing cinematic experience you will ever have the privilege to sit through On my recent trip to Seattle, I stayed out in Redmond for cost purposes. I saw the sign for Gold Class Cinemas while wandering through town one afternoon and popped in to watch Transformers. I got the shock of my life when Kate, the lovely receptionist, said it would cost $22!!! She must have seen the look of horror on my face and she smiled and said that it wasn't like an ordinary cinema, hence the higher cost. She offered to show me around and I took up her offer of a tour The foyer area is like an upmarket swanky restaurant and bar with lovely huge open fireplace and very cool seating. No tacky movie theatre atmosphere with lines leading up to counters serving fluorescent cheese (I use the word cheese in the loosest sense of the word here) nachos and rotating low-meat-content frankfurters. Instead, the feeling is that you've walked into a fine dining venue However, the movie theatre was the star of the tour. Instead of conventional rows of cinema seats, Gold Star Cinemas have installed huge comfy armchairs with controllable motor-driven reclining facility. Staff will bring you pillows and blankets when you get into your seat. There's a call button to summon a waitress for food and drinks. As I wanted the full cinema dining experience, I decided to return the next day. At Kate's suggestion, I arrive half an hour beforethe film started so that I could sit and relax to peruse the menu before going in. Being a Yelper, I have high standards when it comes to food and just because I'm dining in a cinema, I still expect the highest standards from the kitchen if that's the level they're pitching at. Well, I was amazed by the quality of the food. Firstly, it's all very cleverly designed to be eaten in the dark without utensils. The crabcake starter came as bites on oriental spoons - they were packed with crab meat and seasoned to perfection with Asian flavours complementing the seafood. The pizza main course was crispy with top class toppings. However, the star of the meal were the lovely super light beignets with chocolate sauce and raspberry compote to dip them in. I would have been happy to have eaten these dishes at a good restaurant So what was the experience like. After ordering, I was shown to my seat, shown how to work the controls for the seat, given a pillow and blanket. The food was then served gradually through the film with perfect pacing. It's like someone coming to your house, installing a giant screen and top notch surround sound. They then put in a wonderful tiltable armchair, pamper you with pillow and blanket, hires in a top class chef to cook you dinner and feeds you the food gradually through the film. Sounds like heaven? Yes it was So please read this review, then go book yourself with or without a date/friend, go and enjoy the top movie/dining experience that you're ever going to experience. Prices are high for just a film but if you factor in the cost of dining as well, then it begins to look more reasonable. My husband and I used to love going to this theater and swore off any other theater once we discovered the wonderfulness of the Gold Class VILLAGE Cinema. Quietly, about 6 months ago, they were bought out by iPics. iPics has done what all big companies do to unique niche products. They sucked the life out of it by corporatizing to squeeze every last penny out of their patrons, and to hell with standards or customer service. It started very subtly so no one would notice the de-evolution of the experience 1. They stopped seating you in the lounge. You have to find your own seat. 2. They stopped escorting you to your seat in the theater. 3. Service suffered. Now you are lucky to get a waiter before your show starts so you can order your meal while still in the lounge. (I used to love going early and have a few cocktails beforehand. Now, there is no need to get there early). 4. And finally, they ripped out 70% of the great big reclining seats and put in regular seats like any other boring theater. What is really insulting is that they still think that they can charge a premium price for a seat in their theater with no more key diffentiators than the large uber theaters. Also, they pried up all of the call buttons on the reclining seats because they no longer want to provide service to the cliental once the movie starts and took out the lights that lit the tables so you can no longer see what you are eating. AND what even more insulting is that they have a video on their website showing the old movie experience touting their great movie experience and what you get is bupkis! I think I will stay home, buy a blue-ray player, and watch movies at home. read more

Well, sadly, a recent trip back doesn't change my lowered rating. When I posted the update about the change from 21+, iPic responded with their commitment to a superior experience. I'm not really sure we agree on what a good movie experience at their price point means. First, let's address the change to allowing under 21. When you have built your entire brand on being an adults-only theater, simply removing the "21+" designation of a few of pages of your website does not indicate "proper notice" or making it clear. As of this writing, the website is still clearly geared toward alcohol and adults. Having a large group and pre-ordering for opening night of a movie, I selected the Premium seating (the plush seats in rows). It was the only way we could all sit together, and the "member" price of $15 a seat seemed reasonable. Here's a breakdown of the oddities, annoyance and strange policies there: 1. I arrived early and needed to snag an additional ticket for an addition to our group. Upon doing so, I was given all 6 tickets. When I inquired how to leave the tickets will call for my compatriots should we not all arrive back at the same time-- I was told they didn't need tickets to get in. Have you EVER been to a movie theater where you don't need a ticket? We all did, in fact, arrive at different times and at no time, ever, did anyone check our ticket or take a stub. How, exactly, are they keeping people just waltzing into the movies from the 'lounge' without paying? How are they keeping people from not freely upgrading themselves to empty Premium plus seats? 2. For the price, making them close to double Cinnebare for a movie ticket, you get NO waiter service in these row seats. You have to carry in your own alcohol after ordering and paying at the bar if you want adult beverages, and then wait again in a separate (long, slow, understaffed) line at the concession counter for any other drinks, snacks, food orders. To which, I guess, you are also given a pager to know when your food is ready. So you can leave the movie, go get your own food, bring it back, and then have one tiny little table to use. I hope your purse is big enough for a tray if you expected to have things to enjoy the entire time? This also means there is zero controls or monitoring of any children having access to alcohol, btw. Though other members of my party were aware of this difference ahead of time, I was not. I'm looking on their website RIGHT NOW and there is really no clear explanations on the differences, at all. The FAQ page is almost entirely about ticket ordering, and nothing about how it works. Every other page is almost entirely about how awesome their booze is. Cinnebarre tells you how it works very clearly on their website, in their pre-movie promos, and from your first visit to your last. iPIc seems committed to never giving you open and up front information on anything at all. The couple at the end cap of our row got up to go get whatever no less than 6 times during the movie. Judging by the number of cups and things they left stacked on their tiny tables at the end, it may have been even more than that. They annoyed ME and I was several seats down and only catching them in my periphery vision. I can't imagine what poor Evan was going through sitting next to them. 3. These seats are comfy enough, but they put this weird thin plywood on the backs of the seat in front of you. Which led to lots of thumping and noise as people inadvertently kicked it when extending their legs or moving. 4. Our theater had a HORRIBLE speaker that was emitting a very loud, constant feedback/static that only worsened as the movie began. Thankfully, a member of our party went out and reported it and it stopped. But why the hell did no one who worked there notice? The seats behind us were filled with waiters engaging in long, LOUD, conversations with the "Premium Plus" folks the ENTIRE time. Do they not ever do a sound check? 20 minutes of their horrible self promoting ads (all about the booze and how premium they are, nothing about how things work) another some 20 of previews and then a good 10 minutes into the movie and it took a customer to alert them. 5. Service was slow everywhere. Friday night, opening night of a very big movie, and they had one cashier at concessions. The line extended out the door and moved at a snail's pace right up until movie start time. For periods they had a 2nd cashier, but as people are ordering drinks, snacks, popcorn, food to pick up later it is destined to be a slow experience even if they fully staffed it and set it up properly. 3 bartenders made eye contact with me within a minute of me arriving at the bar, yet I waited 5 full minutes before i could order, and 4 more for a shitty drink. And....I keep hitting the 5,000 character limit and am not even close to done with the horrible bar staff, the poor design flow, and other oddities. I do not pick iPic. read more

Bring back GOLD CLASS! The new method of ordering everything you want 20 minutes in to the movies is NOT ok. I do not like the fact that I must look around if I decide later in the movie that I want another beverage / more water, soda, popcorn, etc. Bring back the call buttons! The comfort and service is what we pay for. The annoying 20-something pop music that BLASTS throughout the theatres is NOT ok. What happened here?!?! This used to be an epic place to pamper yourself and take in a flick once in a while. Gone are the call buttons to summon a server, replaced with an instruction to order what you want within 20 minutes of showtime. You know what that gets you? A warm beer halfway through the show. Gone is the small, intimate theatre setting. It's been replaced with regular, boring, sardine can-esque thatre seats. Sure, the nice recliners are still there, and you can pay extra for them (I did) but the arrangement just doesn't fit. Don't hope to recline and see the movie over the heads in the row in front of you. The lounge is gone. No place to relax and converse before showtime. Can't comment on the food as I was so disappointed that I didn't order any. It is probably lesser than before as well though. Too bad the new owners didn't know the good thing that they had going. read more

As a frequent patron of iPic Redmond (and Gold Class before that), I've always enjoyed the movie going experience here - great screens, comfortable seats and decent drink and food selection. In addition to that, one of the major attractions of iPic (vs, say, the brand-new Regal theater at Issaquah-Highlands) was the kid-free experience - an opportunity to enjoy movies with no disruption. Unfortunately, it seems iPic have had a change of policy, and now allow kids in the theater, resulting in a change of drinks service and disruptive kids in the movie. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm no kid-hater - but I don't want to pay premium prices, to have my movie-going experience (that I enjoyed so much before) compromised. I'm very disappointed to see this change, and feel compelled to take my business elsewhere (like the brand-new Cinebarre in Issaquah). I'm hoping that the iPic management will have a change of heart and revert back to the old policy. read more

The staff are good people, in general (except one who was a little passive-aggressive). The food has been bad, and they don't have many drinks that they offer on the menu. They ran out of soda water, once, as well. Their chair was not working properly, once. But none of these hurt, as much as the last time we were there. I have a tiny bag that I carry with me for, you know, necessities. It's really small. They insisted they want to "inspect" it because there is a chance I have "food" there. I am a fan of safety and everything. They insisted there was a chance I had "food" there, in a tiny bag that barely could hold a purse and a cell phone. I have seen people going with backpacks, and large bags. People shouldn't have to leave their belongings with them at the entrance if the bag is large (this is my understanding from talking to two of them, they said they have done this before). It seemed insane to me. I spend about 45 dollars for two seats, and every time we order about 70 - 90 dollars of food. And we go there a lot. Many times a month. What they offer is the violation of privacy, for "food". What if I need some tiny food that is not offered there (their food is really horrible), because of an illness I have? I cannot take "their food, instead". I didn't know I was going to the airport. We go to movies to have fun, to enjoy our time, to relax, not to get exhausted and anxious, and to get out. I didn't have any food, but that's why we are not going to go there anymore. Who would have thought that would be our last visit? It made me feel sick a little, because they opened my bag and checked inside. I didn't expect that. read more

Wow. The new owners have destroyed the experience. Service now only available during the first 20 mins of the movie and the call button is gone. They have added seats and trashed the once-cool lounge. No plans to every go back again. (oh, and the post from "jackson M that says "We didn't think it could get better, and were very skeptical about the changes, but they seem to be for the better" is either from an employee or someone who has not been there since the changes - as this comment is just insane.) read more

So here's the deal - this is a good spot for a number of things. There are areas for improvement, as always, and what kind of Yelper would I be if I didn't share those? You can get very comfortable seats in the theater, which you pay a premium for (hence why its called Premium Plus seating). $25 for a ticket gives you a nice chair - distanced from your partner - and free popcorn, which is brought out too late in my opinion, and of a size too small. What would make the experience at iPic better: - Faster bar service (we were nearly late to our movie waiting to pay for our tab) - Bring the popcorn out before the movie starts - The ability to 'ring' a server when ready to order something, or when something goes wrong All in all - a fun experience every now and again! read more

I go to IPic alot to watch my movies. I like the fact that I can get eat normal food (besides popcorn) and drink a few beverages that aren't kid friendly. Whenever I go I always opt for the Premium Plus Seating because a server comes to you to take your order. No need to get up and order drinks all the time during a movie if you just pay a few more dollars. Trust me, I learned the hard way the first time I came to IPic and stayed thirsty because I wasn't aware that Premium Seating didn't have servers. Food here is decent. I've tried alot of the items on their menu like the pretzel sticks, buffalo chicken spring rolls, loaded baked potato chips, most of their sliders, flatbreads and always their tater tots. If you're going to get tater tots make sure you share. I can never finish my tater tots by myself and when I'm sharing. Oh, you can also ask the server to use tater tots for the loaded baked potato instead of the chips. Drinks are always good. I usually order the prickly pear honey rita minus the salt and their red wines. They have their Tuesday specials where selected beer, wine, cocktails and food are special priced. IPic has recently allowed kids into their theater. I actually don't mind because I took my daughter to see Frozen when it came out and she loved it. I think it depends on the time and what movie you see. If the parent can't shut their kid up during a movie I'd be irritated too. Thank goodness my 8 year old knows when to talk and when to be quiet. read more

This was my go to place for any movie i wanted to see but after todays visit not sure I will be back. The customer service and the food have gone down hill. We went to check in and the front desk girl was so unfriendly, smile you work in customer service! My cocktail was awesome but my mahi mahi trio was very blah, big chunk of mahi with a tiny slice of pineapple on a bun. Very bland and difficult to eat since the fish was a hard chunk. Sausage pepperoni pizza was good, nothing special. But the major deal killer for me is having it be all ages... I just watched Kingsmen, great movie full of cursing, killing and brief nudity. I would have really enjoyed it if I wasn't sitting next to a couple who brought their 1 yr and 2yr old to the movie. Doesnt matter how well behaved your child is, the endless squirming and talking is awful! Not to mention how inappropriate it is to bring children to this type of movie. We were not the only ones who thought that either, couple people mention it as well. They paid for 2 seats but had 4 people. The kids shoes were on the floor, our server almost crashed and burned trying to get past their death traps. Before I left I just wanted to ask the front desk about the kids policy and the front desk girls were again very rude and unfriendly about the matter. I hate bad customer service. Get it together IPIC, I don't understand why you can't have certain days or times for children and they should not be in rated R movies!!! I understand it is the parents choice but it makes everyone else very uncomfortable to have kids crying while heads are being shot off... I definitely miss how the IPIC was in the beginning, the managers used to always be standing in the entrance when movies were let out just to say hello and ask if you had a nice time. The front staff were friendly and knew how to smile. Little things like that can make you over look the things you don't like. I am up in the air if i will return but if I do it will be for the latest movie possible to avoid this situation again. read more

Love the seats - 5 star Don't order the food, high price, low quality - 1 star [edit] "Customer Service" - 1 star (See bottom) We have been coming here for a few years and really enjoy the experience. We used to come and get something to eat, have a drink, then watch the movie which made a great date night. Of the countless times we have been here the more expensive reclining haven't been available so we sit up front and either have eaten before or taken the food in. I'd recommend eating at Matt's, Spazzo or Thai Ginger before hand then having a drink with the movie. Seating and amenities are a 5 star rating for me. We have always sat at the "Premium" seating up front which are fixed seats, they don't recline. But they are HUGE with nothing but leg room. The little tables that each seat has is actually more conducive to casual dining during the movie than the "premium plus" seating in back. The table swings in front of you. As with any theater, the front row is too close for me, but if I sit in the furthest back two rows of these seats it is just a great experience. $30 for two tickets to these seats. This weekend we sat in the "Premium Plus" seats in the back, which was $50 for two tickets. The seats are just fantastic, they recline way back and they give you a tiny little pillow and a blanket. The theater is always pretty cold, so the blanket is awesome. I can't say that I would always buy these seats for $50 as opposed to the ones up front. But every so often we will treat ourselves. Now the food, that is a 1 out of 5 stars for me, low quality by even bar food standards for a very high price. I don't foresee going to the movie and trying to have dinner with the movie again, really sub-par food and a couple of drinks cost us $85 with tip. For $72 we got the Bite Size Nachos, Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese, Grilled Beef Tenderloin Skewers and 2 beers. My wife just drank water and we were given cheap bad food and two beers for $85 with tip. $135 for tickets and food. Never again. Bite Size Nachos - These are very very small tortillas, cut in half and have mostly black been puree and cheese on each, there are maybe ten small bites. We were up-sold the addition of beef by the waiter for $5 and if there was any beef at all it was imperceptible. With little to no light I couldn't see them, but I can tell you I didn't taste it. $18 for something you'd pay $5 for at a bar happy hour. Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese $18 - Tiny little sandwich cut into fours with tiny tiny amount of meat and cheese. Prior to the sandwich being cut up, it must have been very small. Also, I can imagine that only half of it had meat or cheese on it because the little cut up portions on the plate had very little. One section had maybe 1/5th of it with the filling, next to nothing. The sweet potato fries were good, really good, but that didn't make up for the tiny entree that had been grilled in a ton of butter. $10 tops at a diner type of dish. But I wouldn't order it at a diner... I really felt ripped off for $18. Grilled Beef Tenderloin Skewers $18 - Pretty good, small portion. If you want awesome skewers for half the price, go get the Chicken Satay skewers across the way at Thai Ginger for $9 before your movie. $18 for what you get is just nonsense My recommendation is to get this seats up front for most movies, have dinner at Matt's or Thai Ginger then have a drink in the iPic bar before hand and take another drink into the movie. I love that you know which seat is yours so you can get a drink and have it in the bar while the 10 - 15 minutes of previews play. THEN, every once in a while, treat yourself and get the recliner in back and order your drinks from your seat. I gave iPic a 4 star instead of 3 because just seeing a movie there and having a drink is great. I hope they do something about the food to bring up the quality and increase the value, right now it's something to avoid. [edit] After I posted my review, Karen P., who is titled as Business Customer Service for iPic responded to the public post with the cut and paste that she responds to most 4 and 5 star reviews. It isn't customer service, it's a cut and paste pitch to upsell you to the recliner seats or for a membership in instances. Customer services isn't running adds shilling for an upsell, customer services is responding to the fact that I was served food that I'd expect at a tavern happy hour for 1/4 the price. In my review I said the food was "something to avoid", and she responds by pitching me to make sure I buy the expensive seats next time. Her message says in part "David, We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit with us", to which I responded "I didn't really completely enjoy the visit. The food was just awful, terrible and cost an arm and a leg." and asked her if she had read my review. No response. So I'm bumping my review down to 3 stars. It was very disappointing to learn of the decision to open the theater to kids. We've been coming to ipic since it first opened as GoldClass. We've enjoyed the reserved seating and 21+ atmosphere. It may sound curmudgeonly but it was nice to have a theater that wasn't overrun with teens and preteens where we could have a date night. It is still a comfortable place to see a new movie without the hassle of waiting in line and fighting for seats. Its just no longer our first choice. We will spend more time at Sundance, Cinebarre or Big Picture. read more

iPic Theaters is one of those places that charges over twice what you'd normally pay in a cinema, and in exchange you get a neat reclining chair, less crowded venue, and the ability to buy booze. I LOVE the idea of paying more for a better experience, After years of going there, they finally drove me away through neglect and declining quality. Because they serve alcohol, kids aren't allowed in. Yet they frequently show juvenile-oriented movies like "Transformers", "Twilight", "Zookeeper" and so on. Again, no problem-but why not show art movies like, say, "The Trip" in at least one of the theaters? Also, for the $27 or so you pay (sometimes less, depending on if you're a member and what day you're visiting) you're supposed to get a free drink at the beginning of the movie. It used to be 2 free soft drinks and popcorn. anytime during the movie. The popcorn tastes like salted Styrofoam--on a good day. For $27 it should be warm and fresh all the time. Again: I'm not complaining about $27 for a premium experience. However, it's not a premium experience anymore. Recently they have changed ownership and put a lot more cheap seats in. Doesn't bother me, but be warned. Finally, booking online sucks. The iPic website is an embarrassment. I just phone in my reservations. By the way, the people at the front desk have always been as superb as the wait staff are lackadaisical. iPic is one of those businesses for which I had absolutely zero customer loyalty. I went there because they were convenient and were moderately better than their competition, not because I think they're awesome. Update 5/21/2013: The popcorn was so bad and the menu so poorly prepared we have stopped going there entirely. Our last visit was in summer 2012 and we haven't looked back. I am so dissappointed. I was SUCH a huge fan of this place when it was Gold Class and I expected it to be the same experience when it switched to iPic, but it definitely isn't. Sure, you can still sit in the same nice chairs if you pay the upgraded price, but they are in the back behind rows of the less-nice seats. Sure, you can still get waiter service, but the call button no longer works and they stop serving you 20 minutes after the previews begin. The whole point of this trip was to get a luxurious, one-of-a-kind movie-watching experience (which is what you got at Gold Class). Now, it's blah. I don't think I'd go back and pay those high ticket prices. To be honest, I'm sure I would feel differently if I had never been to Gold Class. My in-laws still loved the experience because they had never been there before. But my husband and I were severely dissappointed. read more
