Poland, I love you! From delicious pierogi to other flavorful and filling dishes, Polish food will most definitely hit the spot every single time. But, if you happen to be in Warsaw and crave a little of Italia, then I would strongly suggest giving "io Ravioli" a visit. Pretty much in the centre of the city, somewhat close to the Palace of Culture, the location is very easy to access. Upon entering, there is a coolness to the interior that somehow also lends a warm and inviting atmosphere. With photographs of Italian stars from hollwood past like Sophia Loren, character and history (which is so easily found in almost any thing you look at in Warsaw) sets a wonderful mood here.
The food style here is Italian and it is heavily based off of pasta. To be exact, you'll have four very distinct styles of pasta to choose from, a selection of various sauces to pair with it, along with appetizing appetizers, wines, sumptuous dessert and other flavorful entree options. Nothing frozen or microwaved here. With each dish, we could taste the artful hand of the chef and the freshness of all of the ingredients.
Portions are very filling and from a menu that also offers a seafood and vegetarian selection, you'll be hard pressed to not find something that suits your cup of tea.
I can't forget to mention, the actual service. Absolutely lovely.
In summary, in all aspects, bordering on old world charm, this place is.
With, of course, a touch of modern cool. read more
