Extremely Disappointing Experience - Misleading Advertising and Poor Service…read more My experience at By Jessica & Co Beauty Lounge in Pooler, GA was extremely disappointing. I scheduled a haircut after seeing the salon's Facebook advertisements, which promise that clients will "leave happy" and that their stylists can perform a wide variety of cuts. I also spoke with the receptionist, Brandi, who assured me that they had multiple stylists who specialize in the exact haircut I described in detail. Relying on those representations, I expected to be booked with someone experienced. The actual appointment did not reflect what was advertised or promised. The stylist appeared unsure of how to proceed from the beginning, even after I re-explained the style and showed clear reference photos. She suggested using a razor, which was not appropriate for the cut I requested. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly paused to ask what I thought while the haircut was still unfinished, which did not inspire confidence. I had to ask her to check and correct basic issues such as ensuring both sides were the same length--something I would expect a trained stylist to check automatically. I also had to specifically ask her to frame the hair around my face, even though this should be a part of any haircut. She only attempted this after I pointed it out. At the end, she asked whether I had ever had a haircut "like this," which made it clear she realized that the cut had not been executed properly. The final result was a very poor haircut that left me extremely unhappy. More importantly, the service I received did not match the assurances given by the salon's advertising or by Brandi when scheduling the appointment. Businesses should not make promises they cannot deliver. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon. Update to My Previous Review I want to share an update after my earlier review. The owner, Jessica, personally reached out to me to discuss my experience, and I truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and willingness she showed in addressing my concerns. It meant a lot to be heard and taken seriously. Jessica arranged for my haircut to be corrected by Elena Gorbunova, and I am genuinely so happy with the result. Elena was absolutely wonderful -- she listened carefully, understood exactly what I wanted, and did an amazing job fixing and styling my hair. My hair now looks great, and I finally feel happy and confident again. I truly appreciate the effort made to turn a difficult experience into a positive one. It says a lot about a business when they stand behind their work and genuinely care about their clients. Because of how this was handled and Elena's excellent work, I will definitely be returning to this salon and continuing my hair care with Elena. We've already discussed future styling plans for both me and my daughter. Thank you for your care, professionalism, and for making things right.

Let me begin by saying regardless of the service, I still tipped BOTH women that worked on my toes (the initial tech and the tech that had to fix her work) 20% because I'm a firm believer in people being compensated for their time. However, the quality of both pedicures & my service was piss poor. The first tech did a terrible job shaping up my nails, had nail polish all over my skin, chipped my big toe (and hence had to shorten ALL of my nails as a result), flooded my cuticles, and had the GEL POLISH on my nails looking LUMPY. After communicating to her throughout the service the different corrections I wanted and still being dissatisfied, I ended up asking for a different tech to revise her work at the end of her service. Another tech did come and clean up the shape and repainted my nails with the same gel polish. The shape was an improvement from the first, but for whatever reason the polish has bubbled and cracked on my toes -- yet I was serviced TODAY and got gel polish which should cure immediately. I'm not sure if they did not prime and dehydrate my nails correctly, or if their polish is defective -- but my toes still need to be redone. Considering I paid full price + tipped 20% for a deluxe pedicure and STILL need them fixed, I will neverrrrr return and don't recommend you waste your $ or time at their establishment if you care about quality of work and your time.
