We discovered this spot kind of by accident, and already can't wait to return for a date night. A nice surprise was being greeted by complimentary Prosecco in honor of NYE, offered coat check and promptly seated with warm nachos & salsa that was refilled without asking after my children devoured the first batch. It's just as much a family-friendly atmosphere (and menu) as giving date-night vibes. We received excellent service, good food, and fun, new, clean decor. But the best part is they have a speakeasy off to the side behind a secret mirrored door! Makes for a perfect after-dinner beverage. We all enjoyed our dishes: mole chicken, enchiladas, and tacos, and I have my eye on the sea bass for next time. Dessert menu was also hard to resist. Alright alright alright! I've been looking forward to visiting this place for a while now--pretty much once I noticed there were rumblings in the building. Keep in mind that this is based on their very first day of being open, which was on a very cold Tuesday night. They had a pretty decent crowd when we arrived, and the ppl at the host desk were very nice. They had a coat check and offered us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Since I'm one of the first to review this place, I'm going to give a detailed breakdown. Decor: AMAZING! Gives elevated Mexican vibes. You can tell they were inspired by neo-Tulum. It's obvious that they aren't trying to be confused with the run-of-the-mill Mexican spots in the white plains/greenburgh area. Prices: very reasonable. We had a total of four margaritas, an appetizer, and two taco entrees. Without tip, it was $82. Bar/drinks: we had their classic margarita, and it was VERY good. I don't do a lot of mixed drinks, but if I do, it's always a margarita. I was told that they do batched drinks to make sure everything stays consistent. I love that! Nothing hurts a brand more than inconsistency. They are a tequila bar, so they have way more than the normal stuff you see, like casa migos, and herradura. They also have mezcal, if that's your thing. Again, think elevated Mexican! Sinaloa Lounge: this is what greenbugh needs to spruce things up! The lounge is beautiful decorated, and has ample seating. It is a very good size for renting it out for holiday parties, corporate events, etc. Matter of fact, we already inquired about renting it out for next year! If you live or work near here, this will be your spot to have a lil cocktail after a long (or short) day of work. They weren't open, but they did let us tour the place. They serve appetizers and drinks. The lounge will feature a DJ from TH to SUN, and I can't wait to see a Thursday night in action. Food: alright, to rhe most important thing, because this is a restaurant, right?? lol. --CHIPS & SALSA: They give you complimentary chips and salsa, which is a huge plus these days. The chips were fresh and warm--pretty much perfect. The salsa was okay. I ate it, but it doesn't have the flavor profile I'm used to. Perhaps they aren't going the traditional route, but it wasn't tomatoey enough for me. I actually tasted a hint of vinegar, or something that tastes like vinegar. 3 out of 5 --APPETIZER: We had the calamari. It was very good--fried to perfection. No bit of overcooked chewiness at all. 5 out of 5 --ENTREE: We both ordered tacos--chicken and steak. The CHICKEN TACO has a pretty good char with a balanced flavor profile. Its was served with a tomatillo-avocado salsa that was pretty tasty. I'm a tortilla snob, so I actually didn't like the tortilla as all. I love homemade flour and corn tortillas, but I know most restaurants don't serve them. My biggest issue with these are the thickness. It's def filling, but way too thick for real taco-eaters. The STEAK TACO needs work. It's served and plated very nicely, but the meat needs a better char flavor and more seasoning. Same thing with the tortilla--too thick for taco purists. lol. It's served with a fresh red salsa. It needed a bit more seasoning as well. Overall, I would give all of the food items a total do 3.75 out of 5. Keep in mind this is night 1, and is their very first real life run, so I'm giving grace. I've been to many first night openings, and this was BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. You can tell they did a good job with training and set up. Like any new restaurant, they need to make a few tweaks, and they will be good to go. MY OVERALL SCORE for the dining experience is a 4 out of 5. They did so well on so many other non-food things, that I can't imagine them not fixing the two entrees we had for future guests. I plan to return and will definitely recommend this spot to others. I will provide an update when I go back!! read more

Went here for brunch. Not only is the ambiance beautiful but the service was amazing. Macri, our waitress recommended a cappuccino margarita that was surprisingly great. She's a top notch waitress. They did not miss with the food. Delicious & will definitely return. As if this venue was not spectacular enough, they have a speak easy room in the back that's straight out of a gangsta series. The service and ambience are amazing. Our server Macrina gave excellent service and was attentive throughout the evening. To top it off one of the owners Eric introduced himself and kept an eye on us as he made sure we were satisfied. We had the Shrimp ceviche and guacamole to start. Both were extremely fresh and flavorful. The warm tortillas and salsa was great but the fresh corn tortilla served with the guacamole is impossible to top. Invito was a phenomenal experience. The mode and decor of the restaurant instantly made my friends and I excited to dine there. The staff was great. They educated us on all of the dishes and even invited us to check out the back of house lounge. My friends and I tired a number of different dishes including the Risotto in a silky spinach purée topped with beautifully cooked shrimp. Another stand out was the crispy oysters, they were AMAZING. Overall, we had not one bad thing to say about the food. The cocktails were not far behind in the attention to detail and creativity. I would absolutely go back. read more

This restaurant is probably a couple of weeks away from being a full 5-star joint. The hospitality at Invito starts from the moment you walk in the door. Since they've only been open for 2 weeks, they're still in grand opening mode, so we were welcomed with a glass of bubbly. We got seated, we made our orders. The empanadas were sizable treats - you get two of them so this app could easily work as a modest entree. The salmon ceviche was well put together: buttery salmon with creamy avocado slices topped with a black fish roe, all doused in a tangy citrus "tiger's milk". The tacos al pastor were also a generous serving (2 big tacos) with great filling and absolute sauce (delicious but also seriously fiery). The chicken mole had a nice twist - pan-fried chicken settled atop a thick mole sauce, with garlicky rice, and buttery green beans. The owners were on-hand and it was pretty great how attentive they were. They have a strong foundation for an amazing restaurant. Once they work out the very minor kinks - and I know they absolutely will - this joint is absolutely 5-star material. read more

The customer service was excellent. As you walked in they offered you a glass of Proseco. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, made you feel right at home. The decor and furniture seemed dated and very uncomfortable. It appeared to be left over from the previous tenant. We ordered the calamari and empanadas as a appetizer. Both were very fresh and delicious. Unfortunately our main course was not good. We ordered the Chamorro (Pork Shank) and the Enchiladas De Pollo. The Chamorro was tasteless. Pork needs to be seasoned well. This dish looked beautiful but lacked any flavor. The Enchiladas De Pollo which is a staple at any Mexican Restaurant was average. I had only taken two bites out of my pork dish , when our waiter asked our thoughts. I explained to him the lack of flavor and my displeasure with my meal. He apologized, and took my dish and stated he would informed the chef. Unfortunately he never asked if there was something else I wanted to try. When we received our check the price of the dish was on the bill. We didn't give any push back and paid our over $100 bill. Based on this experience, I hope they accept the feed back we provided and improved the taste and quality of their expensive entrees. read more

Found this place via Instagram. I was excited to see a modern Mexican place right here in Elmsford. I definitely think the food is overpriced for the location as I was perusing the dinner menu. We came for happy hour so no dinner entrees were ordered. Chips and salsa was provided once I sat down. Chips were warm and delicious, salsa lacking for me (3/5). We got the calamari which we really enjoyed! (4/5). The empanadas we were not a fan of. Something about the actual crust didn't sit well with me but beef filling was flavorful (2/5). Our margaritas were okay, definitely not strong. I read somewhere they are batch made which I understand but nothing special (2/5). The al pastor tacos the meat was overcooked and chewy (2/5). We checked out the lounge too on the way out which is open Thursday-Saturday,6pm. I am very interested in going back to this lounge as it gives me city vibes right here in Westchester.
