The person who "helped" me, whose name is Arlette, was condescending and unpleasant. She kept saying that she didn't know the new computer system as she was typing in my prescription. Then, she told me and my husband, that the frames for our sunglasses were dry and curved and the new lenses could not be put in. (The frames were not even a year old and well taken care of by us) She wanted us to buy new frames obviously. When the owner Verege showed up, he took over and was very nice and helpful. The people that work here are great, they are very friendly and they don't really push you in the expensive direction as much as other eye glass shops. I also saw the optometrist for an exam, she was very friendly and thorough. I was told my glasses would be ready in 7 days, and they were ready in 6. Great experience! read more

I got sunglasses from here two years ago. This past week, my sunglasses lost its lense but had it on hand when I saw it on the ground. I brought it in and thought that I had to pay for the sunglasses to be repaired. The staff was so professional where they repaired them free of charge and even wiped the lenses for me before I wore my sunglasses again. You should have one expectation when shopping here, and that's personalized service. However, contrary to popular opinion, prices are not low or even moderate. If you don't pay attention to price tags, you could end up spending close to a $1000 for a single pair of frames (if you're getting prescription lenses). Although I didn't make a purchase on my last visit, I did notice plenty of frames selling for $300+. If you have a prescription, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out, just don't get ahead of yourself. They have a ton of contemporary styles. If you're into the hipster look, then try out Warby Parker (warbyparker.com). But Invision has a ton of styles that would appeal to the 28-35 year old Bergen County resident. Don't get me wrong, you'll find lots of styles under $200 here also. Just make sure that your insurance provider is accepted. Paying out of pocket can really hurt if you need prescription frames. If you're just looking for a pair of sunglasses and don't need a prescription, then you should really think about shopping at Garden State Plaza. You will find much better deals at any one of the eye wear stores there. Parking will be an issue at Invision Optics. Meters are relatively inexpensive though. Should have listened to the reviews....called to make an appointment and the customer service was far from acceptable. In no way should anyone hang up the phone and be in a bad mood from just simply making an appointment. Called back and cancelled....this place really needs to make sure to have a friendly staff. It's especially frustrating to see an owner of a business (Faaredge) step in to try and help customers only to find out that he actually did nothing but create an empty appointment where you show up to find that you aren't even in the system. Staff has no customer service when addressing the situation. If you think you're getting a bargain cause it's a locally owned place, you're wrong. Honestly, the customer service is awful. Had an appointment for 10 o'clock and no one was even there to open the store until 10:20. If I didn't need an exam so badly I would've walked away. The employees were rude and it really pissed me off. The girl also placed the order for my exam like it was the first time she was using the system. Been going here for my glasses for the last 8 years...I rarely give 5 stars but these guys take care of you. Lost a pair of glasses and rush ordered frames and lenses no problem. Another time, damaged a pair of glasses and they repaired them no charge. They have enough selection to not overwhelm you but still give you variety..., in and out quickly. Highly recommend. My husband and I have been going to Invision Optics since they first opened up a small store in Lyndhurst, NJ and continue to go becuase of the level of service they provide. The owners and staff have been nothing but helpful. They offer a wide range of frames and will certainly spend the time with you to help you select the best frames, lenses and options to meet your needs. Their estimates for when my glasses would be ready were always on the mark. They do not have off-streeet parking, but there are plenty of metered spaces within a two-block radius. Saturdays may be a bit busy, so if you can visit during the week, you may have less of a wait. read more

I am extremely disappointed with how this business is run. Before my appointment they asked what insurance I had. I told them, no problem they made my appointment. I went to the appointment they wanted to change my brand of contacts. Had to wait for them to order samples. Then when I go to order contacts they tell me they stopped taking the insurance 9 1/2 months ago and I can't use my vision benefits with them. When I asked why they didn't tell me that before my appointment the only answer I got was they don't know. And I can find another provider to order. Horrible business practice and a total waste of time and money. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE. Very disappointing. read more

Stuck with them - cant even go to any other doc as my insurance allows only one eye check up per year and havent received my lenses 2 months after the check up - they havent even ordered them. My friends and I will never go here again. The man Verez actually yelled at an elderly woman who had requested a print-out and told her to leave. He was very intimidating to her. The young girl there, I believe she was Asian, was rude to the elederly person and to my friend when asked for a print-out. She made a big deal about printing it. She also said something in another language to a fellow worker and they both laughed and looked at my friend. Called Evette the supposed owner and she was not at all helpful. Obviously she doesn't care about courtesy to customers. Do not go there is my suggestion. read more

First of all, the doctor takes you into a back room that is basically a closet. It is a mess. After dealing with that weird situation, then you get the people who work there. They don't have a clue. They don't keep notes on things spoken about with their patients and when they left me a message the girl didn't even say where she was calling from so I thought it was a weird spammy message.
