I recently hired Intown Painting for a package of three jobs and was thoroughly impressed with their work. The two bigger jobs were a patch/seal/paint job in my kitchen ceiling where I'd had a recent plumbing problem and a rather ugly (and large) patch of water staining on the upstairs vaulted ceiling. Scheduling couldn't have been easier: Richard was great, sending texts during the "Snow Jam 2014" fiasco to keep in touch during a time when roads weren't perfect. He seemed to be ready to come out in the middle of that nonsense, but I suggested it'd be easier the following week. So we settled on a date. The day before the work was to be done, Richard sent a reminder text. A small detail. But a nice personal touch. The day of the job, the crew came in, set up with zero disruption to any part of the house, and got to work. Six hours later, the job was done and the house was perfectly clean without a trace that a painting crew had been inside all day. All for a very reasonable price. TLDR: these guys dropped the ball on me numerous times and then shouted at me when I didn't want to continue work. This was a major headache and mess. I strongly recommend looking for other vendors. They have also tried getting my reviews removed across platforms. -- I hired Intown after getting a flier for them. I've used some of the bigger painters in town and I had been wanting to try a smaller business and I figured I'd give these guys a shot for our kitchen cabinets. They seemed like a good option for a bit more affordability, so I figured I'd try them. You get what you pay for. What a mistake. This is the experience I had. We started out totally normal. Their crew of two guys came out on the first day to tape everything off in the kitchen. Totally fine. Only one guy comes the next day so the other can get a deck done on another house. I guess that's how they can keep prices lower. There's a few different things that happened at this phase and we gave them a lot of grace throughout all of it, but the short version is the crew was not up to the task of properly painting cabinets. I did find out later from the owner that he's worked with this guy before for many outdoor jobs and for whatever reason he just expected him to be able to do cabinet work, so that tells you a lot. This was really frustrating and a waste of 2 days of work, but this was clearly just a contractor who didn't know how to paint cabinets. As long as they brought out their A-Team to fix this up, it would've been fine. Their A-Team was able to come out two days later and I did a walk-through with them in the morning. This seemed more like what I was used to and they seemed like a solid crew. I went on a walk and come home to find out that the owner had called them and said that he would not pay the agreed-upon rate and that the crew is leaving. A completely understandable reaction. It took the owner 40 minutes to reach out to me and try and figure out next steps. I was immediately told multiple times that this is a listen conversation, not a talk conversation, which quickly devolved into him saying how much of a champion he's been throughout the entire process and complaining about the labor pool he has to work with. This was a disaster of a project. The quality, Communication and Work product were a nightmare. The cabinets were not removed prior to painting, resulting in overspray throughout the kitchen. Upon reporting the issue, the crew came back for 7 more hours, had to be asked repeatedly to fix issues and still did not complete the task; on top of creating more damage. The owners only recourse offered was to lower amount due in exchange for an NDA. Do not hire. read more

I had a great experience with Keith and his team. I was impressed with his hustle and responsiveness throughout the process. He provided very detailed quotes and gave me feedback on what I was asking for versus what most home owners end up wanting. He set specific times and dates for follow up and for work to be done and met them. His team worked quickly and efficiently and was respectful of our property. I asked him to return the next day to do some additional work (which happened to be the work he said I would likely want done) and he provided a quick quote, set a time, and got the work done to our satisfaction. Worst painters I have ever seen. They must have two crews, one that's professional, and one that is not. They came to my home washed out there paint brushes in my new sink, dropped paint on my cabinets/appliances and floors. The line between the walls, and ceilings were not straight. Several areas did not even have two coats of paint until pointed the areas out. The lead painter did nothing but complain and call in to the office. I can not recommend this company!! read more

I would highly recommend Keith and Intown Painting. Keith and Fidel are very professional, knowledgeable, quick to respond, and did an amazing job. I moved into a high rise in midtown and had them paint interior as well as cabinets. Keith gave estimate over phone and stuck to it. They did all of the work in3 days including cabinets, without having to remove them and take home. I'm so pleased with how beautiful the condo and cabinets look. I hired this team a year ago to paint a condo including cabinets. The cabinets were sent back twice and returned with chips. When asked why, the lead painter said they "get banged up in the truck". Since then I've had another contractor point out roller and brush marks even though Keith told me they'd all be sprayed. There are also several drip marks throughout the condo and it doesn't seem as though they properly repaired walls before painting as you can see where previous artwork was hung in several rooms. read more

I'm sure that most people have had the experience of a contractor taking too long, not showing up, arriving late, etc. Keith returned my first inquiry call immediately, came for the estimate for wallpaper removal and painting my halls and large living room, followed up a few days later (which no other company did), and sent his proposal. When we hired him, he came on time with his painters and they finished the job in 2 days. They also cleaned up everything including vacuuming my carpets when they finished. We rent a home and wanted to update our kitchen without spending a lot of money on granite counter tops for our large kitchen. We wanted to have our counter tops painted to look like granite. I searched all over Atlanta for painters who would paint my counter tops with this granite paint. Then, thankfully, i called Keith and he came out the very next day to take a look at our kitchen and to give me an estimate. He and his team were very flexible and worked with our rescheduling. Originally, we thought the painting would only take a approximately 4 hours a day, but because of the different layers of paint it took longer. Actually, because this project was so complicated, Katja worked 9.5 hours on Sunday to ensure it was perfect. AND they did not charge us extra for the unexpected additional hours. Katja kept us informed every step of the way and we absolutely loved the finished product. It is unbelievable how GREAT our counter tops look (exactly like granite). Our neighbors were so impressed they whisked Katja over their house to hire Intown Painting for their home. Our landlord was delighted with the beautiful transformation and a realtor friend of ours asked for their phone number to offer this service to her clients. Keith and Richard came over after the counter tops dried to caulk and make sure everything was flawless. Intown Painting is very trustworthy and professional. I was previously on the homeowner association's board of directors at the condominium complex where I used to live. We hired a general contractor to give the outside of our buildings a facelift, who in turn hired Intown Painting as the painting subcontractor for the job. From the very beginning of the project we were disappointed by the poor quality painting we were seeing. The general contractor took Intown Painting off the job, and hired a different painting company. Intown Painting reacted incredibly unprofessionally to this, and went on a rampage directed not only at the general contractor, but at our association and our residents. They brought legal action against the general contractor, but also filed mechanics liens against our property and sent harassing emails to our board of directors. While filing mechanics liens is certainly within a contractor's legal rights, the way Intown Painting handled the entire situation was totally uncalled for, and the legal mess could have completely been avoided if they'd acted at all reasonably. In the end, the general contractor agreed to settle out of court. It was an unbelievable experience. The photos of inferior painting and the stack of harassing emails they sent our Board were more than enough evidence to report them to the Better Business Bureau, which we did. read more

This company does nice work. They painted the inside of my house and did a fantastic job. They paid particular attention to detail in painting the wainscoting. The workers were pleasant, friendly and were careful not to splatter paint, cleaned up nicely afterwards. The job was finished sooner than predicted and that was a nice surprise. I was impressed how professional they were when they came out to give me an estimate. We hired Intown Painting to paint the interior of our home (everything except the ceiling) and about 2,300 sqft. We had Keith out to give us a bid and we hired him about a month later after getting a couple more bids. He was right in line with price and the amount of time it would take. He quoted us a week for the job and it took them 6 days. Edwin was the Project Manager and he was fabulous! When he showed up on a Saturday to start painting he had 2 other guys with him. Edwin walked through the house with us to go over paint colors etc. and while we were doing that, the other two guys had already prepped our living room and kitchen! Everything was moved to the middle of the room covered up and taped down. They didn't waste anytime at all! Edwin was so easy to work with. He showed up on time with his crew (4-5 guys) everyday and when we got home from work at night the crew was still there painting and finishing up for the day. Edwin walked through the house with us each night to let us know what they had done that day and the expectations he had for the following day. His top priority was our happiness and it really did show in the work that they did. We truly felt like he cared about us and they way our house turned out. It was a job well done and we could not be happier with the outcome. It was money well spent! read more
