I recently hired Prime Painters to pressure wash, prep, repair rotten wood, and paint my home, and overall, they did a solid job. Emil was responsive throughout the process and clearly communicated timelines, which I appreciated. The crew handled the work efficiently, and the finished product looks great. There ended up being much more rotten wood than originally expected, and while the team took care of the replacements without delay, I was surprised to be asked for an additional $550 after the house was fully painted. It wasn't a demand--I wasn't obligated to pay it--but it caught me off guard since the request came after the fact, during a conversation about touch-ups. It would have been more transparent to discuss that cost at the time the wood was being replaced. Emil ultimately "waved" the additional charge which was appreciated. A few minor touch-ups were needed, including repainting the front door and repairing a dented gutter. Initially, I was told the gutter was already damaged, but I was able to share progress photos that showed it did not have previous damage. Emil handled it professionally and had someone out the very next day to take care of everything--no pushback, which I really appreciated. All in all, I'm happy with the quality of the work and how the house turned out. Just be sure to clarify any potential extra costs along the way. They asked questions to make sure that they were doing what I wanted my rooms to look like. The business owner came by to make sure that everything was working properly. They decided their own planned dates and that's too on a heavy rain day, as per weather forecast and when requested different dates, they refused and are not accommodating at all. Prime Painters LLC completed the painting on our Hard Coat Stucco. The house looks better than when it was new. Prime replaced all of the rotten trim which was considerable after 27 years. They used the high end paint and was still lower than other quotes. Prime Painters finished timely and left the area clean. The house had not been painted in 11 years, and was w.a.y. overdue for a paint job. We contacted six different contractors for estimates, and to their credit, all came out and provided estimates (ranging over $2,900 from the lowest to the highest). Emil's estimate was among the lowest, but it was his straight-forward, no-nonsense, "let's get the job done right" attitude that won us over. We have a small amount of stucco on our house (around the base). We had some problem areas that needed to be addressed. Emil was the first contractor to suggest having a "real" stucco company complete the repairs before the paint job in order for the job to be done right. We took Emil's advice, and hired a stucco company make the repairs, then hired Prime Painters to do the painting From start to finish, the crew of four men completed the job in four days. They showed up when they said they'd be there, they worked all day long, and repeated the process the next day. Impressive, considering the work took place in mid-July, in temperatures in the 90's. They did all the appropriate prep work (pressure washing, cleaning, caulking, etc), then applied sealer, paint, and stain Emil used all high-end Sherwin Williams products on our project. Had Prime Painters paint my 23 year old home in Snellville August 2018. Over all good job. House and deck pressure washed, selective pieces of siding replaced as well as small pieces of deck boards. The house looks sooo much better. The new paint inspired an upgrade to outside lighting as well. Only real complaint is with the deck. It was sprayed with stain without sweeping some trash off in a couple of areas. Lack of attention to detail? Almost a month later the stain is still coming off in pieces anywhere our chairs contact the floor. Looks bad having red spots all in the brown deck. Emil had someone come back out to touch up areas but that didn't last. We stayed off the areas for over a week to let it cure, but again didn't make any difference. All that said I would still give a thumbs up for the painting. Point of interest THEY DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS!! I feel bad cause when job was done I had to post date a check to give me time to get $ in bank, resulting in Emil's crew not getting paid for 3 extra days. Hope this helps. read more
