I have been bringing my children to this pediatrician's office for 10 years. In the past, I…read moreoverlooked mistakes such as them focusing on my daughter's allergies while overlooking and failing to diagnose her asthma until later, because I tried to remain loyal. However, I now feel obligated to share this experience to protect other families. Recently, I brought my children in for what I thought was just a common cold and to get a refill for my daughter's Albuterol prescription. A couple of days later, my 14-month-old son developed Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease -- which he contracted from this office. This conclusion is unavoidable given our lifestyle: my family does not live here, we do not have company, my son is not in daycare, I do not drive (groceries are delivered), and the only place we had been was the pediatrician's office. When I first noticed a few bumps on his leg, I thought it was from switching diaper brands. By the next morning, he had a full outbreak. Urgent Care confirmed it was Hand, Foot, and Mouth. Shocked, I called the pediatrician's office from the exam room, and the nurse admitted on speakerphone that cases had been "off the charts." Later, when my child's father called for clarification, the same nurse repeated that it was "the highest it's ever been." Despite knowing about the surge, the office failed to take even the most basic precautions. They could have posted signs, asked us to wait in the car, or rescheduled. Instead, my son was unnecessarily exposed, and our entire household has been disrupted. My son has had sleepless nights, been unable to eat, and I've had to quarantine him from his sibling -- all while missing the start of a new job. When I called back to ask about Magic Mouthwash to help with my son's painful ulcers, I was told they could not prescribe it since they were not the ones who diagnosed him. Their only concern expressed by the office manager was "sorry" and that they didn't want to lose me as a patient. There has been no follow-up whatsoever -- no calls, no check-ins, no concern shown for my child's condition or recovery. This is negligence. A loyal patient of 10 years should not have to experience this level of disregard. Parents deserve to know that their children's safety is not prioritized here. I am writing this review not out of spite, but out of responsibility -- to spread awareness so that other families can make informed choices before trusting this office with their children's health.

My concern is that this is a pediatrician's office who cares for infants whose immune systems aren't fully developed. Because of this I would not recommend this practice.

Dr. Dikkala is the best doctor I've came across in a long time. He has been my daughter's…read morepediatrician for years as well as my friend's children too. I met him at Children's Hospital many years ago when my daughter was small and one of the nurses referred me in the ER to him. She raved about how amazing he was and trust me he is exactly that! His staff is very compassionate and caring about their patient's needs. The appointments are easy and flexible and swift. He definitely knows his stuff and is a very ethical provider. I wouldn't dare switch and she's almost out of high school because he is someone I can trust with her health as if it's his own child. The girls are also so helpful and it's been plenty of times I needed last minute appointments because I took her to ER and wasn't at ease with the on call doctor and they got me right in and did their own evaluation and diagnosis. This doctor is in a league of his own and I promise you will wish he was a general family care medical doctor because people like Dr. Dikkala are hard to come by. Love, love, love his professionalism, ethics, and service. My child will be coming here until she is grown lol because I trust him and he is an awesome doctor that really cares about his patients. He is very through and nice and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a pediatrician then look no further he is the BEST CHOICE!!!!!!!

My husband and I currently take our son here to be seen by Dr. Kubagawa and he's been nothing but…read moreamazing. As first time parents, we've both felt more than comfortable with Dr.K as he is soft spoken, patient, respectful and very knowledgeable. We definitely "clicked" with him, which was important to us as parents. I would highly recommend Dr. K to any friend or loved one. Another thing that I love about this practice is that they were able to squeeze us in, same day, for a concern we had with our son. Overall, staff is great and service is fantastic too!

We really loved going to Gwinnett Pediatrics for years, especially because of the care we received…read morefrom Dr. Mollock. Unfortunately, our most recent experience changed how we feel about the practice. We brought our daughter in because she had a persistent cough and ongoing nasal discharge. Since Dr. Mollock had retired and was only in once a week, we saw Dr. Washington instead. In our experience, each visit with Dr. Washington felt condescending (this was not our first time seeing her), and during this visit she told us it was allergies and sent us home. Less than 24 hours later, our daughter's condition worsened and we had to take her to urgent care. She was diagnosed with pneumonia. The urgent care provider indicated that it appeared she had been sick for a while and questioned why it had not been caught at the previous visit. When I called Gwinnett Pediatrics to express my concerns, Dr. Mollock called me back and invited us to bring our daughter back in so she could personally recheck her. Dr. Mollock confirmed the pneumonia diagnosis and advised us to continue the treatment plan provided by urgent care. A few weeks later, we received bills for both visits, including the follow-up visit that we were invited back for after what we believe was a missed diagnosis. When I contacted the office, they refused to reimburse or waive the charge. I was told they were standing by Dr. Washington, and when I asked for the issue to be escalated, I was told the refund decision would ultimately be up to Dr. Washington, who refused. I understand that medical visits involve professional judgment, but I do not believe it is appropriate to invite a family back for a recheck after a missed diagnosis and then bill them for that visit as if it were a normal follow-up. As much as we appreciate Dr. Mollock and the care she provided over the years, we will not be returning to Gwinnett Pediatrics.

I have been bringing my children to this pediatric office for over nine years, and until recently I…read moretried very hard to stay loyal, even after moving farther away and driving 45 minutes for appointments. Unfortunately, my most recent visit made it clear that I need to change providers. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. We arrived on time, and after vitals were taken, we were told to wait for the doctor. We waited over an hour before Dr. Blair came in around 9:30. When she arrived, she was extremely rushed, did not listen carefully, and did not give my concerns the attention they deserved. The appointment was for two of my children. Before I could fully discuss my concerns for my first child, the doctor closed the chart and moved on to the second child. When I tried to bring up an additional concern for my first child--something I had scheduled the appointment for--I was told it could not be addressed and that I should use telehealth instead. I was also told she needed to leave because another patient was waiting. I understand doctors are busy, but when an appointment is scheduled, parents should feel heard--especially when it comes to children's health. The experience felt rushed and transactional, not caring or patient-centered. It was clear that multiple patients were scheduled at the same time, which affected the quality of care. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and it ultimately led me to decide to change pediatricians. I hope the practice considers scheduling changes and communication improvements so families feel respected and cared for.

We are visiting the area and went to ABC Pediatric Group in Stone Mountain GA after our infant was…read morerunning a fever for six days over 100F. We first saw the Nurse Practitioner there yesterday and she was horrid. She wanted to send us to the emergency room before even really examining our 11 month old based on her seeming "lanquid"-she was asleep in my arms. She missed an ear infection and, despite thinking she may have a urinary tract infection, wanted us to go to the emergency room so they could catheterize our infant and they could potentially perform a lumbar punch. This is a horrible overreaction that would have greatly increased the distress and pain of our child. We were able to bag some urine with the nurse's help, see that it was a UTI and see a doctor there after complaining at the front desk. The doctor we saw, Dr. Fiona Blair, was wonderful, very professional and was able to diagnose the issues behind the prolonged fever of our 11 month old including an ear infection the NP did not see. The nurses who helped us and the doctor are why this is not one star. That was yesterday and when we went back for a follow-up today to see how the antibiotic was doing, the same NP then said both ears had infections but the left was getting better (the doctor had not seen any in this ear previously) and diagnosed our infant instead with wheezing and wanted us to give her an inhaler and breathing treatments. It was overall a horrible experience causing excess distress to our poor baby. The doctor, Dr. Blair, and nurses were great but if you go, make sure it is not with the nurse practitioner we saw.
