Jill Overcash in particular is the best physicians I have ever met in any specialty. She is consistently up to date on the latest studies which is less common than you would think. She and the other doctors are very warm and kind towards the children, very evidence-based, and very adaptable to your child and their particular needs. They don't go overboard throwing medicine at your kids, but when they do prescribe something it is very carefully considered and tailored for your child. They did a great job with our kids when they were babies and now that they are 7 and 4 they are adapting to them as they grow up and face different health issues. Our family has been sick a lot each winter and they have always been very helpful. I can't say enough about their practice. The only downside I can come up with is just be on time. They run a tight ship and if you are more than a few minutes late you'll get rescheduled. It's for the collective good but it's frustrating when it happens. We drive from Decatur to see them and it's well worth it!

You can tell this establishment does not over / double book their patients. In the two years we have been coming, I've never seen more then 2 other patients, besides myself, in the waiting room. We have seen Dr.Overcash for all of my daughters well checks. She is so attentive, has a calm voice, full of patience & a passionate bedside manner. My daughter use to scream & cry EVERY single visit, she was THAT child you could hear from 3 doors down. Now, she sits there quietly, listens well & has 0 tears. I appreciate the amount of time Dr.Overcash spends with her patients & their parents. She wants you to understand throughly & takes the time to explain any & everything you bring forward. For anyone who is upset with "long wait times"...understand that these doctors are dedicated to your child's care & make sure you have what you need before you walk out the door. Be thankful to part of an establishment that still has the mentality of quality over quantity!

The staff is always extremely friendly, and I've felt that our concerns are taken seriously at every visit. We typically see Dr. Hilton, who is knowledgeable and thorough. Today, we were able to get a same-day appointment for our 1.5-year-old, who was running a very high fever and was ultimately diagnosed with RSV. The nurses and doctors were incredibly caring, and we even received a follow-up call that evening from the doctor we saw, Dr. Passmore. Very happy with our care here!

And he had his son shadow him who he said is in med school, anyone who knows anything about medicine knows you shadow before med school not during. If you're a resident you're hands on he was not. Instead of listening, she repeatedly responded as though I were demanding medication even if the tests were negative. She would not listen when I tried to clarify what I was actually asking. The entire interaction was extremely frustrating and unpleasant. How can someone this unprofessional be allowed to care for pediatric patients? She did not even understand the names of my child's medications, repeatedly talked over me, and ignored what I was trying to explain as the patient's parent. She then walked out visibly irritated and proceeded to speak disrespectfully about me to another nurse loudly enough for both my child and me to hear through the open door. This behavior was completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and unacceptable in a pediatric healthcare setting.

Never is this place not busy. I've notice since a little girl. Always waiting from morning to noon. Appointments to this place does matter if you don't want to wait a whole day. I have experience the whole day waiting thing, and the worst is when you are sick with no appointment. You wait for the longest time ever. Hispanic people tend to come here, but it is a Vietnamese doctor. Her name is Bac si Huynh a.k.a Dr.huynh. She is bilingual, so she can communicate in Vietnamese and English.  They did have a Hispanic doctor, but I don't know what happened to them. The place has 12 patient rooms total, and all of them are used at all times. They do have bathrooms on both sides of the place. This place always have two people in the front of both sides of the place. The down side is if you aren't Hispanic and do not know english. You are done. I have only noticed a couple of Vietnamese nurses here and they are never in the front. This place can cure you. With the type of medication they prescribe to you. We only waited about 10 mins past our appointment so that's acceptable. I don't think I've ever been seen on time at any doctors office. She gladly answered my questions and provided thorough answers. The waiting area has a TV and some toys, books, and coloring material. One side is for "sick" kids so make sure to sit in the right section. The rooms are spacious and clean as was the entire facility. It's located in a building with a church and a CPA office. It looks like a large house so I passed it the first time. I thought my visit was very pleasant so I'll be using them from now on.

Finally a pediatrician that opens on Saturdays. They open every other Saturday. I found it to be so convenient. Most places only work on the weekdays and a lot of parents can't afford to make the appointment. Sunflower is located on the 2nd floor. You'll have to take the elevator. This place was clean. Your greeted by the friendliest receptionist. The waiting room is small but its full of toys for the kids. They play kids shows on Netflix and not those cheesy dvds on repeat. Dr. Borieux was great. She treated our kids like her own and I thought she was very thorough with our well being exam. Hallway is bright and we didn't really have to wait long. The exam room was clean and painted differently in each room. She definitely listens and gives good advice. I like how it's small and personal. I feel like with a few more visits, she would be someone you want to get to know. My kids responded to her with ease. I think I made a right choice making her our PCP. I would highly recommend sunflower pediatrics!
