Jill Overcash in particular is the best physicians I have ever met in any specialty. She is consistently up to date on the latest studies which is less common than you would think. She and the other doctors are very warm and kind towards the children, very evidence-based, and very adaptable to your child and their particular needs. They don't go overboard throwing medicine at your kids, but when they do prescribe something it is very carefully considered and tailored for your child. They did a great job with our kids when they were babies and now that they are 7 and 4 they are adapting to them as they grow up and face different health issues. Our family has been sick a lot each winter and they have always been very helpful. I can't say enough about their practice. The only downside I can come up with is just be on time. They run a tight ship and if you are more than a few minutes late you'll get rescheduled. It's for the collective good but it's frustrating when it happens. We drive from Decatur to see them and it's well worth it!

We have seen Dr.Overcash for all of my daughters well checks. She is so attentive, has a calm voice, full of patience & a passionate bedside manner. My daughter use to scream & cry EVERY single visit, she was THAT child you could hear from 3 doors down. Now, she sits there quietly, listens well & has 0 tears. I appreciate the amount of time Dr.Overcash spends with her patients & their parents. She wants you to understand throughly & takes the time to explain any & everything you bring forward. For anyone who is upset with "long wait times"...understand that these doctors are dedicated to your child's care & make sure you have what you need before you walk out the door. Be thankful to part of an establishment that still has the mentality of quality over quantity!

Instead of listening, she repeatedly responded as though I were demanding medication even if the tests were negative. She would not listen when I tried to clarify what I was actually asking. The entire interaction was extremely frustrating and unpleasant. How can someone this unprofessional be allowed to care for pediatric patients? She did not even understand the names of my child's medications, repeatedly talked over me, and ignored what I was trying to explain as the patient's parent. She then walked out visibly irritated and proceeded to speak disrespectfully about me to another nurse loudly enough for both my child and me to hear through the open door. This behavior was completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and unacceptable in a pediatric healthcare setting.

I looked online on both Yelp and the clinic website and this location is listed as open until 9pm and available for walkins. It was 7 pm when I looked this up, so I felt I had plenty of time and wasn't going to be one of those butthole customers that show up 5 minutes before closing. We drove 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to see a tiny piece of paper on the door saying "we are closed" another saying "X-ray broken" and another saying "at full capacity" (even though they were closed and there wasn't a car in sight.) It's 2023. Update your website with your hours. There's even an option to indicate it's temporary so patients don't get confused. Don't put "accepts walk ins" in your business plan if you can't take new customers - as indicated by one of many pieces of paper on your glass door. While this thankfully was not an emergency, I indicate that it's 20 minutes in the opposite direction of the er only to illustrate how frustrating it is to drive 40 minutes round trip for nothing. When an up to date online presence would tell any stressed, overwhelmed parent they should just head straight to the er and that 40 minutes could be put toward the long er wait times. I finish this post with a question. If this office can not figure out something as simple as the internet, are they really reliable enough to help you in an urgent situation with your children?

This gorvy guy is Laughable he's a pediatrician for goodness sake not like he's a well renowned cardiologist or neurologist he's kind of on the bottom of the totem pole as far as MD's go so he should learn some humility. My newborn was born with breathing difficulties, he didn't once check his breathing or his chest or heart, pretty much a second rate doctor if you ask me. Would not recommend. Going to find a doctor who knows how to properly examine a newborn next time. Recent visit was a total waste of time. And he had his son shadow him who he said is in med school, anyone who knows anything about medicine knows you shadow before med school not during. If you're a resident you're hands on he was not. Unfortunately, my most recent visit made it clear that I need to change providers. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. We arrived on time, and after vitals were taken, we were told to wait for the doctor. We waited over an hour before Dr. Blair came in around 9:30. When she arrived, she was extremely rushed, did not listen carefully, and did not give my concerns the attention they deserved. The appointment was for two of my children. Before I could fully discuss my concerns for my first child, the doctor closed the chart and moved on to the second child. When I tried to bring up an additional concern for my first child--something I had scheduled the appointment for--I was told it could not be addressed and that I should use telehealth instead. I was also told she needed to leave because another patient was waiting. I understand doctors are busy, but when an appointment is scheduled, parents should feel heard--especially when it comes to children's health. The experience felt rushed and transactional, not caring or patient-centered. It was clear that multiple patients were scheduled at the same time, which affected the quality of care. This was a very disappointing and stressful experience, and it ultimately led me to decide to change pediatricians. I hope the practice considers scheduling changes and communication improvements so families feel respected and cared for.

We first saw the Nurse Practitioner there yesterday and she was horrid. She wanted to send us to the emergency room before even really examining our 11 month old based on her seeming "lanquid"-she was asleep in my arms. She missed an ear infection and, despite thinking she may have a urinary tract infection, wanted us to go to the emergency room so they could catheterize our infant and they could potentially perform a lumbar punch. This is a horrible overreaction that would have greatly increased the distress and pain of our child. We were able to bag some urine with the nurse's help, see that it was a UTI and see a doctor there after complaining at the front desk. The doctor we saw, Dr. Fiona Blair, was wonderful, very professional and was able to diagnose the issues behind the prolonged fever of our 11 month old including an ear infection the NP did not see. The nurses who helped us and the doctor are why this is not one star. That was yesterday and when we went back for a follow-up today to see how the antibiotic was doing, the same NP then said both ears had infections but the left was getting better (the doctor had not seen any in this ear previously) and diagnosed our infant instead with wheezing and wanted us to give her an inhaler and breathing treatments. It was overall a horrible experience causing excess distress to our poor baby. The doctor, Dr. Blair, and nurses were great but if you go, make sure it is not with the nurse practitioner we saw.
