I had an ok experience at Inti. I lived in Lima for over a decade so I'm pretty familiar with Peruvian food. I've been to most of the Peruvian restaurants in Hell's kitchen and I don't think Inti is at the same level as them. The dishes I ordered were not well presented, especially the aji de gallina, which I have never seen served without lettuce and olives. The yuca a la huancaina was just fried yuca and a side of huancaina sauce, which is very different from the presentation described in the menu. The ceviche was very chewy, as if it had been marinating in lime juice for a very long time. At the rate they charge for dinner, I would choose to eat somewhere else. read more

Between the staff and the food this is a restaurant not to be missed. It's authentic feel come from both the food and the decor and you feel like you've traveled to Peru. We came here on a very rainy Friday evening and it was not very busy. The restaurant is pretty spacious so you don't feel like you're on top of the table next to you. I liked the mix of Latin music that they had playing. There was only one server but he did a good job at coming around and checking in. We ordered the calamari frito, empanadas, bistec a lo pobre and the chaufa with seafood and chicken. I was not very impressed with the empanadas, they did have a lot of chicken but it wasn't very flavorful. The calamari was good. The bistec a lo pobre lived up to it's name (poor people's steak), it was quite thin, good thing it came with the egg to add extra protein. The chaufa was pretty good just a bit too salty. The food was just ok in my opinion. I was put off by the automatic 20 percent gratuity added to our bill. It's just presumptuous to add a 20 percent tip. I normally tip 20-30 percent when dining out but I don't want the restaurant to add it on the bill automatically. read more

Came here after a conference and this place did not disappoint. It's a beautiful restaurant, good for groups or a nice date. The service was awesome as well, very friendly and helpful with menu items. Now the food. We shared a plate of yucca fries which were cooked perfectly and tasted great with the huacatay sauce. I ordered the ceviche mixto and it did not disappoint. It was a generous portion that went great with my frozen Pisco sour (highly recommend this drink!). My friend had the chicken lomo saltado and I got to taste that as well. So good. I ended up also buying the beef version for my husband. For dessert, my colleagues and I each ordered something different so we could share. We got Picarones, alfajores, and tres leches cake. All were delicious. I will definitely come back. Back in January, I had my belated birthday celebration dinner at this cute Peruvian restaurant. There was a little Christmas tree still up in the front, as well as orange walls, and cool symbols. The place gave a warm, inviting ambiance. And I appreciated that it was super easy to make the reservation. For my starters, I had to get the Fried Calamari and of course, the Tostones. The Calamari was decent, but not as crispy as I would have liked and a little too chewy. The Tostones were delightfully crunchy, and was amazing with the mouthwatering garlic sauce (which everyone used for their own meals!) It was tough to decide what to order for my entree. At first, I chose the Peruvian style Spaghetti Pesto, served with Pork Chop, but it never came and I was having second thoughts, so the waitress allowed me to change it up. This time I went with the Peruvian style Fried Rice with beef, eggs, scallions, and soy sauce. I enjoyed this dish, as the rice was perfectly cooked with tons of tender, well seasoned beef pieces, along with yummy egg. For dessert, I wanted the Alfajores, but my friends ended up getting me the Tres Leches Cake and Lucuma Ice Cream. Both came with a little dance in it. The cake was melt in your mouth moist, rich, delightfully milky and creamy. The ice cream was bright and refreshing, velvety smooth, not too sweet. It tasted quite unique, like a mixture of sweet potato, caramel, with slight apricot flavor. Service was decent, but there was only 1 waitress for the whole place, so it was a bit slow. It was difficult to get her attention on multiple occasions. Prices are pretty reasonable especially for the area. The restaurant is a fairly big open room, with plenty of space between tables. The service is friendly, though the food does not come out very quickly so if you are in a rush, best to let them know in advance. We started with the empanadas (2 small ones per order) and the papa rellena (2 med/large sized fritters). Both were tasty, though I preferred the papa rellena. The red salsa that came with the empanadas was delicious as was the green sauce they bring to the table. For the entree we ordered the lomo saltado (beef) and swapped the french fries for maduros. The lomo saltado was tasty, though a bit salty (a little soy sauce heavy), but the dish was flavorful and enjoyable. The maduros were good too, just a little dry. We also tried the yucca fries which were enjoyable, not greasy at all. The portions are decent and we left feeling full. It is not cheap, but is not egregiously overpriced either. read more

This restaurant stole my money, I was ordering on uber eats from queens and mistakenly had my Manhattan work address on at the time, the moment I clicked the order I saw the address and immediately cancelled literally within 5 seconds and they charged me $23.95 and never delivered anything for the reason that they had already started the order of picarones and a frozen ice cream, flat out theft. Dishonest thieves. Uber eats is useless so I will be disputing the charge on my card from them and contacting the better business bureau on the restaurant. My parents came here a few months ago and wanted to take me here when I arrived in NYC. After long travel this meal was exactly what I needed! We started with the ceviche which was really good. Quick dinner before a concert I came to the restaurant because it was a few blocks from Terminal 5, and I wanted a quick bite before a concert. I was in a group of 4, and we were seated immediately. We let the staff know that we were on a tight schedule, and they were friendly and understanding. My partner and I shared a lomo saltado with tostones. We asked to change the French fries for tostones. My first had a quinoa salad and chicken caesar salad. Everyone was satisfied with the service and quality of the meal. My Peruvian born husband is always on the lookout for food from his birthplace, and yesterday was no exception, which is what lead us to Inti. When we arrived, we saw that over half the small restaurant was taken over by a wedding reception. At first, it didn't seem like such a big deal. The service was actually good and everything we ordered came fairly quickly. As soon as the bride and groom arrived, REALLY loud music came pouring out of a loudspeaker on the bar. Absolutely no conversation was possible after that. With such a large party, I really don't understand why they didn't close the restaurant to other patrons, because all the rest of us suffered after that. The menu items were definitely on the more expensive side. All cocktails are $18, with the exception of Negroni, which is $19. The food was hit & miss. The ceviche was good, and the Papa a la Huancaina was the most flavorful I've ever had. The tostones suffered from lack of any seasoning at all, and the Jalea was dripping in oil. I suspect the fish was Tilapia, because of the many menu offerings with it. Overall experience was just meh. I can't say I recommend Inti at all. read more

Ordered a pickup bag off the "Too Good To Go" app which is basically an app for businesses to sell leftover food that'll go bad at the end of the night, in a surprise bag. I received white rice, red beans & baked chicken. The same thing I received in my surprise bag weeks ago. Better portion this time. Food was fine, nothing out of this world. First pickup around 10/31 I and my friend had to use the bathroom. The male waiter was nice, but the older Asian woman with red hair didn't want to let us use the bathroom. When I went back 11/14 for another surprise bag, I tried to eat in their outdoor seating area, standing up, with one other person with me. The same lady as the first time came out and told me I couldn't eat there. I partly understand, but I am also a paying customer and just want to enjoy my small portion of food at a table rather than figure out where to go on a very cold (around 40 degrees F) night in NYC. After a long day at Rockefelller Ctr, city lights and shopping we wanted to have a quiet and relaxing dinner. Made a reservation via Open Table for 9pm. Ended up arriving at Inti at 8:30 pm on a Friday evening and we were seated right away. It was perfectly full but not overcrowded. The service was great. Female busses and servers were excellent. We ordered the lomo saltado, jalea and ceviche. We also ordered a chicha morada and two pisco sours. The food was absolutely delicious. Nice presentations and good portions. The sauces were perfect. The jalea included fish, shrimp, calmar, onions and yucca. It was absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned! The calamar was tender, tasty and plentiful. The shrimp was also perfect and same for the fish. We only ordered an appetizer portion and I'm so glad we did! Had we ordered a larger portion we would have devoured the plate!! The lomo saltado was very tasty! Same For the ceviche! The fish was perfectly raw yet cooked in its yummy sauce! The chicha morada was full of ice and it was just Ok. I feel that too much ice takes the flavor away but it was OK. The pisco sour is all about the foam. The foam was lacking but the taste was delicious. They may have prepared it with a Hand shaker which is fine. It perhaps needed more shaking? Not quite sure bc I'm not a bartender by any means but I have made this drink at home and I personally use a blender and the foam is perfect when using a blender. Nonetheless, all was delicious. Delicious Peruvian food! The ceviche was to-die-for. The crispy corn was amazing with the fish, the large corn was fresh, but the carrots were just a bit over cooked. The citrus taste with the fish was absolutely delicious and I would come back for just the ceviche. My soup was large but I would've wanted more shrimp (it came with three or four). The eggs and rice were delicious but I wish the soup overall had a bit more flavor. The restaurant was a little bare and the ambiance left a little to be desired. It's was good but I wouldn't say great. I got just the Lomo Saltado which is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes so I often order that to compare restaurants. It was a bit overly salty. I actually kind of like that but others might not. The portion was fair but not overly abundant for the $26 price point. The green sauce (aji verde) looked kinda old and was crusted around the spout of the maple syrup bottle they put it in so it wouldn't pour and so I don't even try it. And the roasted corn kernels they serve before your dinner comes was seriously lacking salt. They have no lunch menu so I probably won't be getting lunch from here even though I work close by. I'll definitely come back and try the chicken which is a much better deal at $22 for a whole chicken. I can at least split it into two meals that way. You can also get half or a quarter chicken. And I have to try the papa relleno which is another favorite. read more

The camarones inti was very, very good, in large part thanks to the sauce (despite it being a little salty). With the few Peruvian options in NYC, this was a nice change and reminded me of cuisine from my time in Cusco and Lima, Peru. We opted for a Pulsd dinner deal and got two entrees, two drinks and dessert. Overall, the deal was good but felt a little light for what we paid. We added the Ceviche Mixto as well - this was excellent and fish was very fresh. Would've liked a bigger portion but it was fine. For entrees- sea bass and the chicken. Sea bass was well cooked and juicy, just lacked some flavor for my tastes. Chicken was tasty and a good portion size. We did both family style. Table had a green salsa which was delicious. Dessert we did the donuts, which were fresh and in a tasty syrup. Ambiance was nothing to write home about... it's a nice casual spot where families come and enjoy the eats. Food 3/5, my sister and I got tilapia which was cooked well but my mother's salmon was over cooked and plain and my brother in law got streak which wasn't seasoned and fries that were soggy.
