Happy Hour Wine & Liquor is a busy place especially on a Friday summer afternoon…read more I stopped in to check out their craft beer selection, after several of the local breweries recommended the shop and an Aunt's recommendation she picks up wine at Happy Hour on a regular basis. They have an ice cold beer cave in the back of the shop, a gentleman restocking in the area was very friendly, showed me local craft beer as well as beer from other areas of Tennessee and nearby North Carolina. He also showed me an aisle in the store where the beer was not refrigerated for easy transport and also the beer he was restocking. Once I came up to the counter, there was a whiskey tasting going on and a group of people stocking up for the weekend. Happy Hour Wine and Liquor is worth a trip when you're in Cookeville, TN.

I stopped counting after 100. The sauce was good, I could really get the tang of the tomato base. The shrimp were juicy as well My mom and sister got the steak cooked well. They said it was cooked perfect and the okra were crispy. The sweet tea was definitely sweet and tea might have needed to boil for a bit longer. We ended up having to wait for the ice to melt down to be able to drink it with all the sugar. I'd like to go back to check out more menu options. Also, the service was great. Probably some of the best service I've experienced in a restaurant

Our waitress KaShonda made what might have been a three star experience easily a four star. The menu warns that the Chicago style can take 45-75 minutes so we were quick to order it before appetizers. The food was tasty. Ordering two pizza styles is a challenge and our Margherita NY style originally came out over cooked. (Probably waiting on our other pizza to finish). KaShonda was apologetic and was quick to make the situation right. When a new pizza came out it was fantastic. I would return when back in the area.

A large part of choosing to dine here was their Gluten-free menu, which was very tasty...but as a family, we'd like to dine together. I'm understanding, but several other tables that arrived after we ordered entrees were eating before two pizzas could be baked?!? Ridiculous. Will honestly not go out of my way to dine here again. I feel bad for the server (it was her birthday) and her team and management let her down.

The ambiance is perfect for a romantic evening to remember - it feels as though you have been invited into a rustic Italian home for a night away. The music is soft and inviting, setting the mood while making a space for table conversations. As soon as we arrived our waiter, Andrew (who did an amazing job) served us water, lit a romantic candle on the table, and informed us of the nightly special. We never felt rushed throughout or meal, nor felt ignored. When we had questions, he gave excellent recommendations. For drinks, my girlfriend enjoyed a citrus sweet margarita (The Italian Margarita) and I a smooth, refreshing citrus gin. Regarding our food, for an appetizer, we enjoyed the fried ravioli - which was good, though a little heavy to start out the night. I would recommend a lighter appetizer for others (unless you have more than two persons at your table). While waiting for our entrees, we enjoyed a fresh salad and warm, crispy bread dipped in olive oil. For our entrees, we both selected the Carbonara - and it was phenomenal. Definitely recommend! Overall, the experience was excellent and one to remember. I highly recommend choosing Mauricio's for a special event!

I ordered the burnt ends with sweet potatoes and collard greens, my wife ordered the sweet potato 'nachos' (waffle fries with meat, cheese and fixins) Both were wonderful. The brisket was fairly lean, but still tender enough to cut with a fork and moist. The sweet potato waffle fries were tasty, but the greens were a little flat, nothing bad, but not noteworthy either, I'll consider something else next time. The Nachos were huge! Covered in big chunks of goat cheese, scallions, and pulled pork. We ordered without sauce so we could use as little or as much as we wanted. The pork was fantastic, it was very moist and full of smokey bbq flavor. The cheese chunks were a bit on the large side, smaller would've been better, particularly since goat cheese is a pretty strong flavor. This was still a great dish and we both enjoyed it(I shared a bit with her since it was so huge. Great place, good service, nice, but small, room.
