Lovely store with tons of great local options. They were super helpful with explaining the different flours and picking out which ones would be best for what we wanted to make. We also picked up butternut squash from their farm stand.

    Cute stickers!

After 5 or 6 friends told me I HAD to go to this store we made the drive to Sparta to check it out. I'm so glad we did. They have a beautiful, clean store filled with so many local goodies. The prices were very reasonable compared to similar stores(not that any compare to what you're getting here). Above all, nothing they sell here has been grown on farms using biosolids(which have negatively impacted so many of us in surrounding areas). Thank you for providing such quality products for us. We will be back!!

My first loaf using Farmer's Storehouse Flours. Even with my three years of practice their flours made a taste & texture difference.

Not good pizza. The pizza is extremely soggy and it tasted like there was no salt added to the dough or sauce.

So I went looking for a CSA - community-supported agriculture - meat share. The search lead me to Caney Fork Farms. Boy, am I glad I signed up!! So a full share runs you $100 a month roughly. This is all organic fresh butchered meats from their farms. The taste is simply unbeatable! If you live in Murfreesboro, the closest pick up is at Smith and Lentz Brewery in Nashville once a month. Not too bad, really, for what you get!! The shares vary in meats and you can set preferences at the start. Plus, the weekend before your Tuesday pick up time, you can customize your share based on availability. You can even get extras - I got fresh local honey and focaccia bread this last time! I have had roasts, steaks, pork chops, ribs, bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage links and patties, and even bratwurst! The flavours are unlike anything you can get at a grocery store. Once you try the fresh bacon, you won't want grocery store again!! A full share goes a long way for the two of us. Family of four would need more, in my honest opinion. Nevertheless, the share is worth it to me for the freshness and flavour!! Shares go by the season, so if you do one season, you can skip out of the next if you wish. The staff is super nice, too! Tell Natalie I sent you!! :)

Farmer's Market season has begun all around Middle TN. This Market is one of my favorites. It…read moreoperates May through October every Saturday ( Weather Permitting ) from 8:00 a.m until Noon. It is located in the square around Rutherford County Historic Courthouse ( Murfreesboro ) There are alot of different vendors including Local Farmer's. There are seasonal Fruits and Vegetables, Homemade Sauces, Baked Goods and much more. It can and does get very busy so you may have to drive around a bit to find a street parking spot. There is also a garage, but I've never used it. You can usually find a spot. There are also usually a couple of food and beverage trucks and there are also some restaurants located in the square. All of the vendors are so nice and just walking around the square you can meet people out just enjoying the weather, the food and the people. You can spend an hour just enjoying the whole scene. I highly recommend if you've never been. Enjoy

Murfreesboro's Saturday Market is the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in the summer!…read more The market runs from 8-12 every Saturday from May to October. There are several large produce booths every week, and a variety of smallest vendors that rotate. Besides produce, other vendors sell meat and eggs, baked goods, flowers, prepared meals, gourmet peanut butter, and arts and crafts. Whatever you're looking for, you'll find it at the market! The busiest hour of the day is 10am. I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds and getting a parking space just off the square. If street parking is full, there is also a parking garage on Lytle street.
