The current battery in the vehicle at the time was about 15 months old. So without checking with me, bc I was at work, my daughter purchased a new battery from AutoZone they do not install the battery OK, but they would not even carry the battery out to the car for her to go get it installed somewhere. We pay another battery place to install the new battery. A couple of days later, I take the old core battery back to AutoZone and once again no one is there to carry the battery in the store. But the biggest problem was once I carried the battery into the store. They would not put it in the recycle pile because I did not have the credit card originally used to purchase said battery. That credit card was used by my visiting from out of town, which was her credit card. So after 20 minutes, I just left the battery on the counter and told them to have lunch with the recycle money because I wasn't carrying that battery out to my car again. Two days after I go to get in my car and it won't start. I get a jump. It starts. Every 3 to 5 days my car does this. I take it to the battery place. They tell me the positive post on the battery that we just bought is bad. I go back to AutoZone to get a replacement, they will not give me a replacement battery because I do not have the original credit card that was used to purchase this defective battery. Explaining once again my daughter from out of town was using my car and used her credit card to purchase an unneeded defective battery from AutoZone. AutoZone sold us a defective battery, but they will not return or exchange it because the credit card used to purchase it is now in another state where the card holder legally resides in. Make that make sense. We're out a couple of hundred dollars EVEN THOUGH you have your customers create a profile on your website with their phone number that contains our purchase history. Please explain how our documented purchase history on YOUR webpage gets overridden by the fact, we don't have the same credit card that was used to purchase the item? +3 men working in a store like to make women carry dirty, heavy batteries to and from their car. This is worse than any convenience store customer service I'm encountered. Y'all in there hustling like you still in prison. Stay away from AutoZone unless you are getting a lightbulb or a sprite and paying cash.

This is the 3rd time I've paid for gas only to go to the pump and it to say it is waiting on the cashier and than say the payment has timed out. I would have alot more respect if the manager didn't accuse me of making it up saying the message doesn't exist and that I again have to wait on the payment to be put back in my account. With inflation and money the way it is currently, Its unreasonable that someone spends all they have and then have to wait. Not only am i stuck at the gas station but I also can't drive to work now. I can't afford to pay for gas twice and additionally its the 3rd time they have done this. Let me also say that everyone in the store new that they were in the wrong and a little bit of acknowledgement from the manager and employee could have earned respect but instead they will lost business. He told me I needed to purchase a new tailgate liner when the only thing that needed replaced was the extrusion pieces that fit across the top of the liner to hold it in place (the extrusion pieces were cracked and pieces were missing ). Then he proceeded to charge me a $75.00 installation charge and when he performed the installation he did a less than stellar job. When I called to talk to him he was busy at the time and the office gal said he would need to call me back. He ghosted me...big surprise. I later found out from Weathertech that they would have provided the extrusion pieces at no charge and I could have easily installed them myself. Now I am out the $150.

Appreciate the nice employees and try to tune out those who are not. The store is well stocked from coolers to shelves, soda machine isn't empty and the isleway's are free of restocking boxes. Not sure when they restock but it's nice not dealing with cluttered isleway's. I realize it has to be done but just nice it's not in the middle of the busiest part of the day. There are 8 gas lanes and Thornton's is usually busy when I'm here. With the large entrance/exit plus a second onto the street running beside Thornton's, it makes for a quick exit onto Washington Street especially if you are traveling West. Most of my stops, like most people, is either for a beverage, snack and/or gas. Mine is usually a 44 oz. soda as I have one in my hand the majority of the day and evening. Many convenience stores are often out of 44 oz. cups, lids or soda with nasty counter tops and sticky floors. That isn't the case at this location. Maybe I've just been lucky but I haven't had that happen at this location. Being so clean with well stocked coolers and a filled soda machine plus a fast in and out is why I continue to return. Well, John at battery experts did exactly that it took him less than five minutes. He was very friendly. He was very professional and it only cost me 10 bucks. Absolutely worth it and oh did I forget to say that I walked in at five minutes after two in the afternoon on a Tuesday and according to the sign on the side of the door, they close at 2 o'clock on Tuesday. so he took care of me even though I walked in late and was just oh so nice.
