When we entered I was a little wary as to what this tiny cafe could serve. It looks like one of those many tourist trap cafeterias. But the young lady at the counter was super efficient and friendly. She had sausages on the boil in various containers under the counter. We got our order including 2 melange (coffees) in under 5 minutes and were done with breakfast in 20 mins. Such a change from all the sedately paced coffee houses around town. I do enjoy a leisurely meal, but not when every minute lingering over a meal could have been spent at a sightseeing location, staring at the imperial crowns or a Klimt. 3 breakfast plates and 2 coffees and we had the seating space to ourselves all for the kingly sum of 13.5€ !

As far as the selection of items it is a standard ikea . What seems to be different is that the displays / interior design of the displays seem to be less impressive ( less effort in putting things together ) compared to American stores which isn't necessarily a bad thing but just my observation.

It is open from 7am to 12pm during the week (and even til 1am on friday and saturday), and proposes some breakfast menus as well. The decor indoor is modern and comfortable, but sitting outside is even more agreable when the sun is shining. The only small damper is that at lunch time, the waiters might be a little overload and not always friendly... Well, this place didn't disappoint. They brought me a large ICE COLD beer, just the way I like it. Then I had the kebab platter; pretty standard, but still good. They gave a good portion of fresh mixed salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, tossed with a little bit of olive oil dressing. It was a perfect side to the fresh, hot French fries and sliced kebab meat! It's a really laid back place, a local neighborhood restaurant, more locals than tourists. And the prices are very reasonable. Normally when I go to a local place, I'll speak German, but I guess the Kurds working here heard my foreign accent and saw I wasn't a local (I guess that's obvious) so they spoke English back to me. This will also get you an interesting look at the less glamorous side of Vienna for the everyday locals. No tourists here except my wife and I. It was packed with local Viennese staring at what they thought was a lost Chinaman(me) whom got lost from his tour group. First, find the food counter. Nothing is labeled, or in English for that matter. The ladies behind the counter didn't speak a word of English either. Just smile and point to whatever looks good, and they'll fix up your plates. They got tasty hot and cold items...I recommend the roast pork and chicken. Figure about €10-15 per person, depending if your appetite. Nothing fancy, but everything we picked was good. Second, grab a table, any free table. A waitress(she spoke a tiny bit of english) will come up for drink orders, aka wine order. Typically there's only 2-4 choices. But the best part is, its cheap! A half liter is only €6-7, or a glass for €1.50. I recommend doing a 50/50 mix with white wine and mineral, called a "Gespritzer", which is popular among the locals. Third, eat, drink, and relax...

Likely the best cocktail bar in the area that isn't crowded to the brim. There were plenty of other bars nearby, but none had the repertoire and laidback atmosphere. You should definitely come here if you're looking for a good, bespoke cocktail. The best is always yet to come.
