"Heuriger" in German means "Winery"... or in this sense "Wine Garden". There are dozens of these…read morewine gardens in outer Vienna...I highly recommend visiting at least one! 10er Marie is easy to get to: Tram #2 heading east will drop you in front at the Johannes-Krawarik stop. This will also get you an interesting look at the less glamorous side of Vienna for the everyday locals. No tourists here except my wife and I. It was packed with local Viennese staring at what they thought was a lost Chinaman(me) whom got lost from his tour group. First, find the food counter. Nothing is labeled, or in English for that matter. The ladies behind the counter didn't speak a word of English either. Just smile and point to whatever looks good, and they'll fix up your plates. They got tasty hot and cold items...I recommend the roast pork and chicken. Figure about €10-15 per person, depending if your appetite. Nothing fancy, but everything we picked was good. Second, grab a table, any free table. A waitress(she spoke a tiny bit of english) will come up for drink orders, aka wine order. Typically there's only 2-4 choices. But the best part is, its cheap! A half liter is only €6-7, or a glass for €1.50. I recommend doing a 50/50 mix with white wine and mineral, called a "Gespritzer", which is popular among the locals. Third, eat, drink, and relax...

Tried about six different white wines and some dessert. Nice quality. Reasonable prices. Service was delightfully gruff (just go with it, I'd recommend). Everything was clean, including bathrooms. We paid with cash, which I believe was the preference. Great people watching and wine drinking experience. Highly recommend.

There's WiFi if you need it. The venue is medium sized. We just grabbed a table and the waiter came over with a couple of menus. Would definitely make it a go-to spot ifi l lived in the area. Credit cards are accepted over 10 euros.

Easily the most legitimate bespoke cocktail spot during our trip to Vienna. Not to mention, one of…read morethe more unique names, and a good homage to Bob Dylan. The place is situated more like a café than a cocktail bar, but it allowed the seating to be a lot more accommodating to larger groups. The only problem was temperature control, as it was incredibly warm, with no air conditioning and only a large fan at the door. The drinks were refreshing enough, but not quite enough to beat the heat. The cocktails themselves weren't terribly unique, but they did use great ingredients, and all the flavors were very well-balanced. I got my usual old-fashioned, and tried the Moscow Mule and espresso martini. I really enjoyed the old-fashioned, and the espresso martini was very tasty. The service was very attentive, and were very quick about getting us our drinks. The prices were pretty expensive for the area at about 10 Euros each, but as they were strong and well-made, it wasn't too much of a problem. Considering that many of the bars in Vienna only served things like Long Island Iced Teas and random, hackneyed mixed drinks, it was a welcome sight. Likely the best cocktail bar in the area that isn't crowded to the brim. There were plenty of other bars nearby, but none had the repertoire and laidback atmosphere. You should definitely come here if you're looking for a good, bespoke cocktail. The best is always yet to come.
