I wanted to have them take it all back, the one and only reason I accepted it was because I had no wood left from the prior year, so I was desperate. I couldn't believe, the price went up $75 for mostly tree limbs. My brother-in-law, said that his wood last year from Bunwarmers, wasn't up to the same quality he was used to with them either. I feel, they should have lowered their prices, knowing they were not giving us what they should have. The hardwood, was so very hard to light, I would go through three or four fire starters before it would stay lit. If I do order from Bunwarmers this winter and if it comes the same way it did last year, I am not excepting it this time.

I got the mixed wood and there are good, light pieces that are perfect for starting a fire and then really dense pieces that burn for a while once the fire has been going. I spent a good amount of time yesterday and this morning chopping it down with my miter saw to usable lengths. I am attaching photos of a typical piece (a few are near 30"). I'm also disappointed in the quality of the load. It looks like this mainly came from the scrap pile as most of the pieces are outer chunks or burl. I've cut a lot of wood in my 61 years of life and no what is scrap and what is not. In retrospect, I should have not accepted the load but it was off the truck before I had time to inspect it (the guy was in a tremendous hurry).

They never showed up so at 3:00 I decided to call and see what the holdup was. I was told that they were running behind, I explained that I can understand but would have appreciated a call if stating that they were running behind instead of having to call them. They said that they would show up later in the day and I asked them to call if they were running behind again. They guy politely said he would do so and to expect them in a "little bit." ...after "a little bit" passed and not hearing from them, I ended up calling again at 4:45... The same guy that I had spoken with on each occasion acted like he had to look up my account and the schedule... After being placed on hold for a few minutes he told me that my wood was scheduled for delivery for tomorrow. I remained super polite and told them that I'm sure they're nice people but they suck at running business and to go pound sand. I cancelled my order and ordered through another company. Peace.

Prices are inline with most every one else. Scoop is listed as equivalent to 3 wheel barrels and it was dead on. I unloaded my truck and it was 3 level wheel barrels exactly. Some of the pieces where to long for my stove but most are 16-18" in length. Did the measurement and if you get a scoop it calculates out to .1 cords so if you can go with the 1/2 or whole cord for a much better buy. The old business use to give military and veterans a 10% discount but the person that helped me was not the regular office person so when I asked they didn't know if they offered any discounts and I paid full price. May come back for 2 cords if it burns well in my wood stove and if they still give a military discount.
