Okay, so I live here and it get's only three stars. Why? Well, communal living is tough. You share a parking garage, a pool and people live above, below and next to you. And, the association fees are very high - $650 a month for two bedroom. Ridiculous, right?
On the other hand, I love the location - downtown Long Beach. No better place to live in the South Bay area. I love my apartment. It is warm and the views of the city are amazing. I love my neighbors. Everyone on my floor is a great neighbor. I love the "concierge-type" service offered by the "security guards." It's nice to know that deliveries will be kept safe. (I shop on line a lot.) I love the safety of living 14 stories up in the air.
Over the past few years, the Association has worked to improve the maintenance of the building - remodeled the lobby, installed a new pool pad and gym equipment, updated the elevators - although I don't think I believe this has helped at all; and are in the process of installing Verizon FIOS - even though the installation is at my expense.
If you need or want to live in a condo, I would recommend the International Tower. It's kinda like having your own place but not really. read more
