They have a rule for appointments only however not only did security be patient and help me regardless but also one of their employees check the time out of his busy schedule to come and speak to me and literally give me every option possible that he knew of to help me in my situation and I thought that was exactly what customer service should be

Their hours (that they don't abide by)

Epcor Water - This is not safe. Breaking 2 laws

Epcor Water

I'm out in the San Tan Valley and Florence area. Epcor bought out Johnson Utilities in 2021 which…read morewas a very bad company. Epcor hasn't made it any better. The water quality here is so bad we are afraid to let our dogs drink it. The fees are pretty high for water, but that's not my main complaint. My main complaint is the customer service. They are all useless. If you call customer service, they clearly don't know what they are doing. I got shut off once because we could not afford the $250 bill because I am disabled and my wife's hours were cut. Sure, that's partially on us cause we couldn't afford it, but they didn't really work with us to help us pay it either. After we were able to get the money to pay the bill, (they make you pay it online then verify the confirmation number over the phone). The lady told us the water would be back on the same day with no extra fee.. then later in the same call stated "Oh, there will be a reconnection fee now cause it's after 3pm, do you want to wait until tomorrow to avoid the fee?" No! I do not want to wait in Arizona summer heat to have my water turned back on! Also, their online chat does not work. It redirects you to wait for an agent, then disconnects you. So I used the message system they have on their site to complain about it and all they said was "we know it's broken." Then why is it still an option for customers? They push for customers to use it even! Also, whenever I use the message system, I don't get good answers back, they always state the obvious and don't address my questions or problem. Lastly, their website doesn't break down your bill when you want to pay, and for some reason a lot of the time it schedules the payment for the next day instead of taking it right out, especially on weekends. I feel like for such a big company this shouldn't be a problem. TLDR; Epcor customer service is frustrating as their reps are not very good and/or poorly trained, their online chat is broken, replies through their website message system only state the obvious, are limited responses, and are not helpful in any way. The online payment system is not efficient and could be better for such a big company.

Called 811 for marking my yards buried utility lines and I specified NOT to paint the landscape…read morerocks. Every other companies that located the lines, didn't spray the rocks. The ticket clearly stated NOT to, but EPCOR did anyways. Obviously they didn't read the ticket, or they just didn't care

Needed travel ID's and I tried to make an appointment online before my husband took half a day off…read moreof work. No bueno. After in putting all information I kept getting an error to add all required info even though I had. So, we just go down. Arrived about 1:30 on a Tuesday and was surprised there were only 6 people in line. Before entering the line you must scan your drivers license via a kiosk. We stood in line about 10 minutes and were called by Duane I believe, might have been Dwight. Since I had printed out paperwork and filled out at home and had all required documents this was a seamless process. I think it took me longer to track down my marriage license than it took Mr. Duane to process our new travel licenses. Ladies, if you've changed your name after marriage take your marriage license. Even though years ago I had updated my social and dl it was required because my name now does not match my birth certificate. Duane was wonderful. Personable, efficient, happy. By 2:00 o'clock we were on our way home. But when we left there were about 30-40 people in line and the parking lot was jammed. My experience within the mvd office was five star but the hassle of the website trying to make an appointment, as others have stated made me take a star away.
