i was employed with intermountain playground co for over two years and was recently terminated due to the fact that employees including myself had to look for other employment alternatives to survive. the owners found out i was looking for work and interviewing elsewhere.
i was first hired as a salesman/project manager and was promised a salary of $40k but was only paid $35k/year over my two year duration there.
i brought up multiple conversations for bonus or commission structures when i sold or completed commercial projects, but nothing every came out of it. the owners had no interest paying commissions or bonuses on sales.
during my employment there, the company was able to hire on two additional workers, bought a brand new caterpillar skid steer, and bought another work truck.
as for the owners, they were able to buy a new house, new boat, and stay at home without coming into the office or traveling for work. they relied on myelf and two other labor employees to do the bulk of the heavy lifting.
overall, this company is pretty unorganized and will promise the world without ever committing to anything.
if you are a job seeker, i would reconsider because you will be overworked and underpaid. if you are looking for a residential playground, they do a good job with that.
if you are looking for a commercial playground construction company, i would also reconsider because their timelines and logistics are awful. the product is good and the pricing is affordable, but that comes at the price of headaches finalizing and getting everything on time. read more
