Cured Salmon is readily available in the Club lounge which was a nice treat

An outstanding location in downtown Toronto with friendly and knowledgeable staff and very nice accommodations. Tip: if you have access to obtain Ambassador status it adds more value to your stay and I would also recommend acquiring the club lounge access as we found it to be well worth it and with some great breakfast, and evening social reception.

I really loved my suit. It was comfortable and elegant. I loved how when you enter the room you have to walk around a corner to access the room. I had a great view. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was really clean and spacious. The shower had great water pressure. Nice plush soft towels, robe, and complementary slippers. The concierge service A+. The luxury car service to the airport for an excellent price was chef's kiss. The hotel was a highlight in the trip.

Picked this hotel to be close to the convention center, and it was a great choice. Nice rooms and very close to many places of interest. The elevators require a key card to use which made me feel safe traveling alone. Loved my room and bathroom. Favorite shower I've had in a hotel in a long time. The lobby is beautiful and the employees were very friendly and helpful. There is a spa on the 3rd floor and a necessities store in the lower lobby.

The biggest selling point of this hotel? Location, hands down. It's right next door to the convention center, a block from Union Station, and an easy walk to the CN Tower and aquarium. You've also got plenty of solid dining options nearby, so you're not stuck eating at your hotel unless you want to. If you're lucky enough to snag a lake-facing room, you'll get a great view -- and on a clear day, you might even catch the faint outline of Niagara Falls off in the distance. Location score: 10/10. Inside, the hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a large convention property. The rooms are clean and comfortable but definitely ready for a refresh. I might be wrong, but the decor looks pretty much the same as it did back in 2017. It's not bad, just a little tired. One nice surprise? The bathroom amenities are Bal d'Afrique by Byredo. Easily one of my favorite scents and a very nice touch that gives the stay a subtle upgrade. As for in-room coffee... well, I got a Keurig, which was fine. Though a few of my colleagues had Nespresso machines, so maybe I missed the room lottery on that one. Azure, the restaurant in the lobby, is perfectly convenient but not exactly memorable. Think classic hotel restaurant -- good for a quick breakfast or room service backup, but you're not going to tell your friends about it later. The staff is great, though. Everyone was kind and helpful, and a special shoutout to David at the front desk who was both pleasant and efficient. If you're in Toronto for a conference or want a well-located home base with good views, friendly service, and fancy toiletries, this place does the job. Just maybe request the Nespresso.

Finally posting a review on the property after 10+ visits. This hotel is perfect if you are visiting the adjacent convention centre. As an IHG property you will have a few member perks, I recommend booking the club level if available. Rooms are well appointed, with bath robes, slippers, pod coffee machine and blackout drapes. The club level was very good this time, with expanded offerings and services. Plentiful breakfast with warm and cold options, happy hour from 5-7 pm and all day beverages was super convenient. I feel this property service, amenities and location are top notch and well suited to business travellers.

The view! Hard to see, but the windows could have used a good wash.

My husband and worked an event hosted in the convention center at the InterContinental and stayed with them for about two weeks. I would recommend... with a few caveats. The room we stayed in was very nice. We had a view of the water and the CN tower through our large windows. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean, with a lovely rain shower! The mini bar was fully stocked, and the room service menu was FULL of delicious options! We did not have time to visit the pool or the spa, but they looked very nice as well. Now for the caveats. The windows were large and beautiful but could have used a good cleaning. The shower door had a defect where - no matter how it was positioned - it leaked copious amounts of water on the floor and required the sacrifice of one of our plush towels. The bathroom also could have benefitted from a fan, the steam quickly built up and made everything wet. The robes provided were not all that comfortable and kind of scratchy. The mini bar and room service menu, full of delicious options, were incredibly expensive. One tiny container of peanut M&Ms was $16 CAD! We did enjoy our stay, but with a couple of easy improvements the InterContinental could take the experience from good to great! Pro tip: they have no self laundry on site, and they want to charge $13 CAD per tshirt for their laundry service! Do yourself a favor and bring a small amount of laundry detergent with you. The sink in the bathroom is more than sufficiently large to hand wash some items!

I stayed at the InterContinental for a work, to be close to my company's downtown Toronto office. Overall, I had a good experience here and would recommend the hotel for several reasons: -The location is excellent for those who need to be downtown in the business district. A lot of places are either walkable, or close to transit -Check in and out process was smooth and efficient -Room was clean and spacious The only downsides of my stay here (which weren't major issues to me): -The unit didn't come with a fridge -The swimming pool and hot tub are both small. With a restriction on the number of people who could be there at the same time, you might not be able to get in during busy periods -The stay does not come with complimentary breakfast

Clean hotel and amazing staff. I also got to stay on the highest floor which was cool because the view was amazing they also had great toiletries and it's located practically near everything right in the heart of downtown I loved my stay here!

Lake and CN Tower view from room.

I have stayed in numerous hotels throughout all my travels around the world, and the Intercontinental in Toronto gives me mixed feelings. Bear with me as I explain each thing that led to this 3-star review. Lobby & Exterior: The outside is a unique geometrical shape design that looks likes it's been around for a while. The interior of the lobby is very luxurious in appearance, but they place the check in desk in the back of the lobby from the doors. Restaurant looks up-scale, but I did not go to it. I saw some boutique type stores, but did not go into them. Check-In: Pretty easy check-in process. Staff was friendly and they explain which amenities (i.e. pool, spa, gym) are not available, but they made arrangements with other local hotels if I wanted to use them. They didn't ask me if I had been there before (which I haven't) and they advised I can speak to concierge with any additional questions about local attractions. Room: The room was nice looking, had a nice king size bed, good view of the lakes and CN Tower, walk-in shower, desk, TV (yada yada yada) and a locked mini fridge. Yup, mini fridge with plenty of drinks in it that has this plastic tab you need to break off to access it. There is no other fridge so if you want to store stuff, you need to pay $25 for them to prepare a fridge to store any food or drinks you bring to your room. Coffee maker is in then bottom drawer of a cabinet and too far from any outlet to plug in. I had to plug it into the bathroom for convenience. I am thankful they offer memory foam pillows as I find them more comfortable than the down ones that require you to layer them to get some form of comfort. Shower had a hand shower head and one of those rain ones from the ceiling. Room Service: EXPENSIVE is probably the one word I would use to describe it. $24 CAD for chicken fingers and fries. They only give you 4 fingers which looked like I could have bought them in the frozen section of a supermarket. They had had a brisket burger which was good, but also cost $28 CAD and it only came with fries. A side of fries is $10 CAD on its own. The one time I decided to get room service, the person wheels the cart into my room and then immediately exits the room without saying anything. I guess I need to locate the check and fill it out and then open the door and hand it to the person delivering it. Laundry: I don't ever use the laundry services at a hotel, but I found the prices to be decent so I had my suit dry cleaned and my shirts pressed. If you get it to them by 8:30am, they can guarantee it back in your room by 8pm. Again concierge came up, at my request, to get the bag and they kept their distance from me and made me walk into the hall bit to hand the bag to them. I"ll explain my staff review next. Everything came back as requested and I was happy with that service. Staff: Lobby staff is friendly and opens doors to get int and out. The staff that go to your room (food, laundry) all made me feel like I was some contagious person and that their interactions with me would cause them to get sick or something. I would normally empathize, but the lack of wearing mask made me realize they just prefer not to interact with guests. If you are going to advertise yourself as luxury, your staff better treat their customers with More respect and not like we are carrying an airborne virus. The staff interactions and the small amenity quirks (no fridge for personal use, coffee maker) are what lead to a 3-start review. I would consider staying here again if taken care of by my business. I would not consider this for personal travel.

Staff were very friendly and responsive throughout my stay. I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was welcomed. The room was large and comfortable. Better than the family's last stay in SoCal. The only room issue i had was the location of the in room safe. It was on the top shelf of the closet and the closet door blocked the safe door from opening fully. The other issue was 1 out of 3 elevators was offline the entire stay. It did make the waits a little longer. On the second floor was a very small gym but it did have a multifunction weight gym and cardio equipment. A water dispenser was located here. The heated indoor pool and spa was in the room next door. Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

They especially enjoyed looking out the large window at the convention center, CN Tower and Lake Ontario. It was also nice having the extra (1.5) bathroom. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and the housekeeping staff was almost invisible (a good thing). Since we got club level, it was convenient to grab food and snacks in the club lounge. Quite kid friendly, although with toddlers we were a bit self-conscious of our kids being too loud and messy. You can imagine my terror when my 18 month old threw a cup of milk on the lounge carpet. Luckily, the lounge staff is wonderful and welcoming and were very understanding of this mishap. The pool is very nice and heated. A little less picturesque than the St. Regis pool (which is located on a high floor) and smaller than the Shangri-La pool but still very nice. There are other amenities that are good for kids such as a free treasure hunt, complete with a prize at the end. Ritz Kids also has other paid activities that we did not do like baking classes, in-room camping, movie nights and family picnics. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, train museum and Rogers Centre. Most of these venues are within 10 minutes walking distance. I think it is also near the underground PATH, that connects many of Toronto's downtown buildings so you can avoid walking outside if so desired. Overall a great luxurious and family friendly hotel in downtown Toronto. Great for families visiting harborfront, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium or Rogers Center. The price is pretty on point with the central location and the quality of the hotel. I did find a few things that I think could be improved. The hotel rooms are starting to show their age. I had a room that had a cracked mirror and a cracked sink. My remote control was sticky for some reason... The most annoying part was that I couldn't adjust the thermostat. There's a thermostat in the room, but no matter how I changed it, the temperature never seemed to change. The bathroom lights were located on the outside of the bathroom which is stupid, there was only one hook in the bathroom for towels, no hand towels, a scale that did not work, and no vanity space. The room is only equipped with three drawers in an armoire and massive tv that only displayed about 40 in of actual screen. The bar, Mister C, located off the lobby is also chic but over priced bar. The bouncer was not the nicest to the hotel guests even though I was sitting outside drinking water, he was convinced I was have an alcoholic beverage and went off about how they would get fines. I don't care. I'm drinking water? The club can get pretty busy and there is also a busy club on the rooftop, so if you're trying to get to your room at night, you're waiting for the elevator for a long time. So in this giant hotel, there are only 2 functional elevators for guests. when we came back to the hotel after being out all day (about 4 pm) on our first evening, the room was not cleaned yet. When I called the main desk to ask why our room has not been cleaned, he said they should be coming soon. I've never stayed at a hotel that cleaned so late in the day. There was a broken roomba in the hallway and I knew it was broken because there were crumbs that sat in the hallway for the duration of my entire visit, about 4 days. 65$ to park your car EVERY NIGHT and $35 resort fee to do so. Loved the Byredo toiletries, that felt on par with the price of the room, but the room itself was like any other budget hotel room EXCEPT the mini fridge was occupied by all the overpriced drinks one could buy, so there was no room to use it. This hotel doesn't even offer the things you might expect from a budget hotel option (like breakfast). It's also $65 to valet park your car each night. (((2nd noise update: 330am-7am more loud machines, they are now power washing the seats/floors throughout the stadium, plus noise from employees chatting while working)). The hotel should at least provide some transpency and warn guests about the field doing maintenance because I would have rather saved a thousand+ dollars by just going to the game itself and picking a different room knowing we'd be getting a get a good night's rest. Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. Also this room includes 2 high stools which i used to prop up against the bed for my wiggling sleeping toddler to not fall off as neither beds are near a wall.

More unfortunately, was that the Weekend was having two nights of a concert in the stadium and I faced the stadium. They had a large black tarp up, either so you could not get a free concert or to try to block out the noise. Block out the nice it did not. The hotel has a resturant that had this delicious Snickers Martini that was probably 10358 calories but it was so good I have like eight. The breakfast buffet was not horrible but also not great in some regards. They did not have skim milk which is okay but the selections were a bit lacking, esp of healthier options IMO. But it was still quite good. i had a voucher from my company so I could not tell you the price. The hotel is nice enough, the doors at the entrance are a case study in human factors engineering since you veer to the right to go in then sharply veer to the left to get through the ante room to the lobby. There are 4 elevators and there is a huge column that requires you go look at the floor indicator bar where there is an arrow adjacent that says if you need to look on the other side of the pillar for your cab. The staff was nice and the room was clean. There is a starbucks in the lobby that can charge your room but cannot use the app. https://youtube.com/shorts/UuKuv8EbVrg

A very nice hotel in the heart of Toronto. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed my stay. The…read morelocation is awesome with just about everything you'd need close by. And by that I mean coffee shops (I suggest visiting French Made), restaurants, some shopping, things like that. The lobby itself is pretty with a giant koi pond with a fountain-like structure in the middle. There's also the bar and some tables and chairs. Near the elevators you'll find a mini store with snacks, drinks, and things you may have forgotten to pack. My room was a good size and to my surprise the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep rather well. One pet peeve of mine at hotels is when the shower is impossible to turn on without getting wet, which was the case here. The lighting in the bathroom also wasn't the best. Thankfully I brought my own mirror so I was able to do my makeup in front of the window. Overall, better than the average, but not quite five stars.

Although beds were comfortable and we had a great sleep, we all agreed we were not fond that there was no head boards, which made it uncomfortable to sit up in bed. It was all hard empty space behind the mattress, which was too wide to pile up the pillows for sitting up. Bathroom was spacious. Rooms were very, very quiet, and we barely heard a peep in the hall or doors slamming. No loud steps or jumping from the rooms above us. Lobby was inviting, clean and fancy. There was a small table inside the lobby with crayons and paper for kids. Restaurant and washrooms below (you can take stairs or elevator down) Some food options close by (Starbucks attached to the building, Tahinis across the street, and Wendy's down the street). Bulk Barn and Shoppers Drug Mart just down the street for snacks/essentials.
