Terrible, terrible, terrible service!!!
The owner of the shop has been treating me like a dummy who doesn't understand anything and that they can shamelessly milk and waste my time.
I've been waiting for this shop to improve for the course of two years and have never written a bad review during the entire time - they're the closest repair shop to my house and I've been forced to go there a few times for lack of other options (though from now on I will avoid it once and for all!)
First it was data restoration that forced me to use their services - it would always take not 3-4 days like they claim, but around two weeks (two weeks with no laptop that i have to use for work!), then the old laptop became a bit slow and at some point wouldn't start - they claimed its hard-disc died - it didn't (as i've managed to fix the operating system by my own the same week) - but i needed a fast new laptop and urgently - and they started representing Terra, a little German manufacturer, and since i didn't want a Mac - I took the first thing that fit my requirements - it was extremely expensive for a non-Mac though (nearly 900 euros) and it didn't come with a burner - so they offered an external - what i didn't know was that the burner had been opened and used (no idea how many times, whether occasionally or frequently) while it was sold to me ''as new'' for a price that was even a bit higher than what it went for normally.
The laptop itself started having numerous problems immediately: the cursor was jumpy from the beginning, it would get frozen and needed breaks often... but then, just under a year of usage - the screen's hinge broke and the screen was barely held together by the other, the sound output stopped working in stereo and only one channel would work, many of the keys didn't respond at all and the webcam stopped working... the computer wasn't dropped and hit or anything of that sort.
- I stopped by the store and the owner sent me home saying he'll call Terra about parts and call me back - he didn't - i called a week later - no update - two weeks later - ''They said you'll have to replace the entire machine, it'll cost 250 euros'' - and they refused to even look at it in the store - the owner then explained my husband on the phone that ''since they won't be making any money they don't see the point in fixing it'' - since it is still under guarantee. Wow!
Should have trusted my gut feeling and avoided Inter-Technik all along and just looked for a different repair store, one that respects their customers.
