I was watching him the entire process, but he around and says oh the ceiling fan must be defective. It must've been bent The ceiling fan wasn't banned. I watched him take the brand new ceiling fan out of the box and subsequently bent it when he was trying to install it then he says well you have the packing ceiling fan came in. You can return it to the store and get a replacement. The problem is that I now have a broken ceiling fan installed in my ceiling so how am I supposed to remove the broken ceiling fan? I'm not electrician. I subsequently called American home shield and JCJ did not respond. Seemed like a fairly nice guy, but then started bragging about how he has so much work to do that he doesn't even have to advertise. I figure, ok maybe they're that good and very busy. Anyway, as we walked around the house it was obvious that Bob was not a huge fan of this job. It wasn't the biggest job in the world, nor the smallest, but I got the impression that he really didn't want to do i (we were getting a few exterior lights and outlets installed with new wiring). He emailed me a quote and I called him back within a day or two of the quote to hire him for the job. I also emailed to hire him for the job. Bob decided to never show up nor call back. I called him another 2 or 3 times and left voicemails. Not once did I receive a call back notifying us either way. If he didn't want the job, at least have the courtesy to give us a heads up. We were having other work done on our house and were trying to coordinate the electrician with the other contractors. It would have actually been an easier job had Bob worked in tandem with the other contractors (as Bob openly said he would during the estimate). Terrible business ethics. Stay away unless you want someone to not return your calls and never show up for a job. I guess a smaller job was beneath RJ Bear Electric.
