We ordered two cases of Maud's Tall Dark and Handsome. Or so we thought. What arrived was two cases of decaf coffee. We reached out to Maud's to ask to return and exchange it. Not only will they not honor that, they said they will not take anything back. They did offer us a discount on our next order, though, as if being stuck with over $100 of their decaf coffee wasn't enough of a reason not to shop with them, their refusal to exchange coffee was the straw that broke the camel's back. We tried to shop directly, rather than solely making purchases on Amazon, and by trying to shop with them, we see their lack of customer service. Plenty of other coffee brands from whom we will now shop. A simple Google search will show you that we aren't the only ones dealing with Maud's terrible customer service. Once again, a poor experience with ordering from this business. I placed an order on Monday 8/12/19. By Thursday, the 15th I had not recieved confirmation of the order being shipped, so I emailed them to check status. Several hours later, a customer service person responded and said they'd check with fulfillment. Crickets ever since. The only consistency with this company is their inconsistency. I had a auto subscription w/Intelligent Blend for 2 100 count coffees. One Tall Dark & Handsome regular and One Tall Dark & Handsome Decaf. The latest was supposed to ship on April 2. My credit card was debited for BOTH on April 3. On April 10 I received notice only one was delivered. The one that was delivered was opened and attempted to be retaped. The count was 83 not 100. Looking at one of pods, the seal was missed aligned (not covering the entire pod) with dirt and crud around the lip. I sent 3 e-mails with photos. Never got a response. Called twice. First call was hung-up on before got to talk to anyone. Second call got thru, but am sure I was messing up his break. I felt he didn't want to talk and wanted to get off phone. I feel that Intelligent Blend's quality control is very poor, and Customer Service is terrible. read more

I worked for this company for a year and I just would like to say that I do not recommend ordering anything from here. The owner is clueless about how his management teams handles the floor. They care more about producing than they do about the quality of the orders customers and partners want from them. They will continue to run the machines that manufacture the coffee pods even if they filters are coming out damaged inside which is why a lot of your orders come with spilled ground coffee. They also will continue to send coffee pods to people if the machines are misplacing the lids. The company has gone almost bankrupt from loosing so many big clients like Costco because of the dirtiness inside and not following standard food operating protocols. Walmart is the second best client they have at the moment but have almost lost their contact with them due to not having orders for Alpine done on time. The owner does not like to spend money on parts for the machines even if they are worn out or not working anymore. He doesn't care about the quality of the products only the money he can gain for being cheap. The lead of the floor had an inappropriate relationship with one of the workers there and they were caught on video having seggs in his truck and HR and management were sent the video but the lead and worker were still allowed to keep their jobs. The company charges a lot for their coffee but you are NOT getting your moneys worth. The ambiance is horrible as they do overwork and blame you for all their mistakes. read more

I recently ordered flavored coffee pods through Intelligentblends and was so excited for my box to arrive with a delicious variety of dessert flavors. It arrived slightly opened with just a few of the 100 pods missing, most likely rough handling in transit. It wasn't a big deal, but I emailed to let them know, and awesome Laura in customer service shipped me out some replacements, even though I would have been happy either way. Can't say enough for that kind of above-average customer service and the delicious coffe they sell! (Bonus: the cups are recyclable!) read more

I ordered two different sample packs to try you guys out, that was about a month ago.. Order still says "unfulfilled" in the status. I've left two voicemails, no one ever answers the phone or calls back. I just sent an email, but this is overly sketchy. My goal was to become a recurring customer but in no way am I going to continue to wait a month for an order. At this point, I'll just take a refund. The coffee is good however the k-cup pod fail rate is very high. I purchased a case of a regular blended and a case of decaf - At least a dozen of the pods failed to brew coffee properly. Never had this problem with any other brand. I contacted the company via email explaining the situation and they ignored me. Excellent approach to customer service. read more

The coffee is equal to, if not better than, any other coffee we've bought... There are a couple of minor issues we have though - one is the pods are a little bit harder for our Keurig to puncture, and we actually had to replace our older Keurig after some time of using these pods. I can't say the pods broke it, but you'll see when you get these it takes a bit more oomph to close the top on the pod and start brewing. The second problem is the delivery time. My last order was placed on 1/6, not processed for shipment until 1/8, and delivered on 1/16. That's a lot of lead time to plan for when ordering coffee... read more

Unfortunately, when a company puts itself out there on the Internet and tries to market a unique product, there's always going to be a batch of haters and that's what I think is going on with these reviews. Granted, we are local here in California, so the coffee arrives exceedingly fast after shipping, which is also quick after ordering. I have to tell you my husband and I absolutely love the darker blends. Who knew? My favorite is the Kona Lisa, rated 7 on a scale of 1-10, and my husband loves the Tall, Dark, and Handsome, rated an 8 for darkness. I always thought I liked a medium blend, which I guess the Kona Lisa technically is, but it is also rich and bold. I recommend starting with one or two of the 8 count sample packs and figuring out exactly what coffee appeals to you. That's what we did and it made all the difference in our decisions. Shipping and customer service is worse than a cup of weak, cold coffee. Order #327525 placed on 12/18/17, confirmed on 12/19/17, and on 12/23 promised for delivery within 1 to 2 days has not been received. Following the tracking link provided vague information with no indication of when the shipment was to be received. Contacting customer service in the early morning by email resulted in an afternoon reply advising, "your order is in transit" with a link to the already viewed impotent tracking information. Further follow-up, asking specifically for "a delivery date" was ignored. To reiterate another customer's comment, "not a happy customer" and I would add, they appear not to care. read more

Where to begin? If I could give zero stars I would. Incompetent and unresponsive customer service to start. I placed and order on December 27 and it never arrived. The tracking information showed it was some place in the Midwest and I got no reply from repeated emails. I posted a negative review on their FB page and someone finally responded. She refunded my payment and sent a replacement which has still yet to arrive. If you read the user reviews you'll see this is a recurring problem - I only wished I'd checked before ordering. The coffee is delicious. The scale system is spot on. I can order 7-10 for myself and 3-6 for my wife in the same bundle. I really like that. Had a fellow teacher try their Kona yesterday, we'll be ordering tons of that coffee. They do coffee very very well. They don't do delivery as well but since it's offered as free I'm not going to ding them for it. This is not Amazon Prime free 2 day delivery - just remember that. So I have been buying from them for a while now. I really do love their coffee and the different types they have. My daughter loves their bold intense varieties, especially the tall, dark and handsome flavor. ( the range is from 3-10 I believe for intensity) I love that they come in quantities of 100 (some boxes have a smaller quantity)so I am not always out buying coffee, since there are 5 of us in the house that drink coffee. I think their flavored coffees are really superior in quality for taste. They are only on a scale of 5 as far as boldness, but you can really taste the flavors - my favorite is the salted caramel. I purchase the green tea for my office, and at around .35 a piece, I can afford them for everyone. The only thing that bothers me about intelligent blends is this - Don't expect your coffee/tea to arrive in 3-5 days. It usually takes well over a week to receive them, so if you are in a hurry or almost ready to run out, best go to the store and get a small supply, because these are on the slow boat. I'm sure it is how they keep the cost down, but in this day and age of delivery satisfaction being between 2-5 days, this is a tad disappointing. I have also found that if I have to try and use my phone to track or order, I can not even sign in. No idea why. It is not, in my opinion, phone friendly. I would love to see an app to make things easier on the go. read more

Great prices and good coffee! Some of my favorites are the Tall, Dark, and Handsome and Kona Lisa Blend. I initially purchased a small variety pack as part of a promotional deal, but I soon went back for more and plan to keep a constant supply. I'm hooked! Hold out for deals, there's always something out there, but either way I don't see how you could go wrong for that price. Added bonus: the pods are easy to dismantle and recycle :) read more

This is a very subjective area as we are taking about a 2 fold experience here A. I've bought pumpkin slice and French roast B. It is for the Keurig System So Keurig does not brew a great cup of coffee as we know already as that is just the short comings of the system but it give my staff choices That being said some thought the pumpkin spice was a little spicey compared to another pod makes blend though most likes it enough I liked the French roast as I thought the pods held up on the freeness aroma of a ground bean coffee pod unlike others that were devoid of flavor freshness read more

When I asked for further help, not once but 3 times, I got the exact same reply, copied/pasted, without their customer service even investigating the issue based on the information, photos and screenshots I attached to my email. I bought 100 Donut Shop pods and somehow got a bad batch. they seem to explode in my Kurig and spray grounds all over the machine. In addition, my cup fills up with grounds also. I am about to throw out 70 pods. Never again. read more

Terrible product and customer service. Received wrong coffee after waiting almost a month to receive. Had to send a picture to prove it before they would correct their mistake. Now they say 3-5 days after its shipped-nothing expedited. The Mauds Donut blends seals on the top of pod leaks causing grounds in the coffee. We have owned a Keurig for years and never had this type of experience with other companies. Get what you pay for I guess. read more

My husband and I have been ordering coffee from Intelligent Blends for about a year. I LOVE the fact that the pods are recyclable (which is why we tried them out in the first place) and that they offered both flavored and typical roast coffees. I like the Salted Caramel and my husband enjoys the Tall, Dark, and Handsome. We purchase Emeril's Bold and T, D, and H and they're comparable. I agree with other reviewers about the delivery/shipping chain. Since our first order we've been amazed at how long it takes to get the coffee. We plan on 10 days although it's been longer. The company is great about sending emails giving you updates about your order, but we could do without a few of those and with a couple fewer days shipping time. I think Intelligent Blends' heart is in the right place and I'm trying to cut them some slack, hoping they get the shipping system straightened out. If they're having problems handling it in-house, this might be a good time to get a consultant in there to advise them on how to do things better. We'll keep ordering their coffee - the green mindset is great and the coffee is tasty - but we'll always have an "emergency" box on hand when the shipment takes longer to arrive than it should. read more

I ordered the creamy dreamy salted caramel decaf k cups. There is a strong chemical taste and no hint of anything creamy, dreamy or caramel. There is also no such thing as satisfaction or flavor guarantee with this company. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company if you want decent tasting coffee. read more

We absolutely LOVE the Expresso yourself coffee. There is no better expresso coffee that I have tasted, and for such a great price. The only drawback I have with Intelligent Blends, is the shipping time. I placed an order on January 12th and today is January 26th and I still have not received my coffee. If not for the shipping issue, I would have give five stars. Hopefully they can improve that issue, but as for the coffee....it's fantastic!! read more

Ordered the Espresso 100 pack via Brad's Deals. Received in a reasonable time, all 100 pods. Didn't pay much, so taking a chance wasn't a big deal. As I love dark roast, the label "Espress-O Yourself" with the "Super Dark Roast" description seemed like a good match, but I was wrong, VERY wrong. This is the weakest dark roast I have ever tasted, and is more like a medium or light roast. Hopefully my lighter coffee loving friends who come over will find it enjoyable. USPS delivered last night, Thank You Brads Deals. 30 days to deliver but I did get them, however they are NOT the bio degradable pods advertised that are "environmentally friendly", don't care at this point, done with this outfit. I'm fairly certain I did not receive what I ordered, its slightly less flavorful than variety pack I purchased at costco, but its over now. I sent them two emails and left two voicemails and they never once contacted me to communicate what was the problem. I went as far as to stop payment from the bank. The Shipping is a nightmare. The Product, itself is amazing. Down to the very last Damaged pod. If the shipping could be remedied it would receive 5 out of 5 stars as their rating. Out of 6 Shipments, 1 Never arrived, 2 arrived in 2(TWO) weeks and were damaged and 3 of the shipments took almost 2 (TWO) weeks, However it arrived in good shape and the product was outstanding. To their defense, The product is now offered through Amazon so the shipping issues should be resolved. I just wish the customer service would have made up for the unfortunate situations, not that I didn't appreciate the apology, however, it did not replace the damaged goods and the frustration of the length of shipping seemed not a concern.
