Finding a studio that offers a class specifically for special needs individuals is hard to find, but not only is there a class they are part of the competitive dance company. As a mom of a special needs child you always worry that your child won't be accepted or given the same opportunities as a typical child, the staff and other dancers never make my daughter or myself feel un welcomed and the support this special needs group receives is enough to bring tears to your eyes. So of course she loves to....Just Dance!…read more Every now and then I'll accompany my niece, Madelyn to her weekly Saturday morning dance class lasting about 45 minutes. About three teachers, eager teenage girls, lead this class of 3-4 year olds in basic but most importantly fun dance exercises. Teachers here are patient and truly take the time to make sure the kids are learning the proper forms while making it fun at the same time. My favorite part is to see my niece holding on to the bar bending into a plie with her frilly pink tutu. Parents are able to see their little ballerinas in action through a one sided mirror that looks in the dance studio. I definitely suggest arriving at least 5-10 minutes early so you get a good seat on the "viewing bench." Parents are typically not allowed into the class, but I've seen exceptions made for children with severe separation anxiety. As a parent, or even an aunt, it's easy to forget to bring this that or the other to class. Thankfully, both ballet and tap shoes are available at their gift shop for rental free of charge to children enrolled in classes. I cannot wait to attend the recital at the end of the class!

We were greeted with a very friendly staff and offered coffee, water before the class began. The instructor was very polite and patient as many of us had 2 left feet. He made it fun and no one felt uncomfortable. We learned three basic steps. My only disappointment is the class was too short. I wanted to keep practicing (much needed) my new skills. Though they did kindly offer us to stay and watch a group event, and take part in their group ball room open dance. We had dinner reservations and had to leave. My girls said during scheduling they weren't told about the group opportunity after. If they knew they may have reserved dinner before the private class so we could have danced/practiced longer. I guess we'll have to see about lessons BTW there was no high pressure sales tactics. Just an overview and encouragement to try classes in the future. Note: The road to the FADS entrance is on the west side of the strip mall because the entrance & parking is behind the strip mall. NOT by Garibaldis. Some GPS apps mistakenly direct you to the front of the strip mall. Don't park there or you'll have to walk around the building to get to their entrance. Have fun!

I was nervous going into the first lesson because neither of us have any experience, but Cinnamon made both of us SO comfortable. Not only did we learn some good moves (and easily learned them too due to Cinnamon's amazing teaching style), but Cinnamon also helped us choose our first dance song (something that I have actively been trying to choose for the last 2 years (not exaggerating here)). He asked us a couple questions, read our energy, and played a song...right then and there, I knew it was the one we had to go with! But most importantly, Cinnamon made it FUN. He gave us a hard time for wanting to dance together and called us out mid class saying "well usually it's men as leads and women as followers but hey, it's 2025, who am I to judge." It was uncomfortable and unnecessary to call us out when we just wanted to be treated like what we are...a normal couple on a date night. I reached out to the owner afterwards to see if they could amend the situation and sadly got no response. I wanted to make sure other queer couples didn't have the same experience as us. We will definitely not be returning and will be sure to let others know about our negative experience.

We have been coming to MEGA for four months and I have waited to write this review so I could offer a review not about my first impression, but my lasting impression. First, Sydney is a fixture at the front desk and the first face you will come into contact with. She is an absolute delight and has the answer to every question I have ever thrown at her. Besides being knowledgeable, Sydney is kind and always follows through on anything I ask of her (a Ninja shirt in a small not popular size, a waiting list for a different class, etc). MEGA and the parents are beyond lucky to have her. Our Monday night "tyke" class is with Coach Rich. Rich is fun, goofy, engaging, but also commands respect, attention, and has a strong focus on discipline. Not discipline in the negative sense, but discipline in teaching them the correct way to perform an exercise, take responsibility, work together, and listen. Rich is not afraid to redirect when they are acting up or are not focused. My free-spirited three year old needs the kind of guidance that Rich provides. She is learning so much more than gymnastics under Rich. He clearly enjoys his career and has a passion for his work - it shows proudly and radiates to his little gymnasts. The "under 5" open gym on Thursdays is awesome! It's a great opportunity for practice, play, challenging little minds/bodies, and explore without the fear of big kids trampling over the little ones. Thank you MEGA for having the under 5 open gym. It is the best! Thank you to the coaches who staff that open gym and make it a blast! Ninja class - this is the pride and joy of my three year old girl. She adores Coach Johnny more than she adores his hair (and she really likes his hair). Johnny has the most pleasant demeanor, patient attitude, and free spirit. Ninja class is basically parkour or American Ninja Warrior for kids. She loves the running, jumping, flipping, and freedom of movement that this class provides. Johnny also clearly loves his work and it shows through his positive attitude. My child's main goal at three years old is to have fun. My main goal for her at three is for her to learn respect, patience, discipline, and critical thinking all masqueraded as fun. The MEGA team do exactly that and I am beyond impressed with our experience.
