My husband and I take ballroom dance private lessons from Marta Rodriguez and Nick Rodriguez - in the rhythm styles: Chacha, rhumba, east coast swing, bolero and mambo. Love them! We've also observed Marta giving lessons to a competitive figure skater improving her musicality and expression and a couple preparing to dance at their son's wedding. Really kind instructors who teach you at the level where you are. My husband/dance partner and I are competitive dancers came to Marta looking to add more advanced styling and improve some areas where we weren't in synch. She is a champion dancer (in her native Poland) but is able to "push" us just enough (a little at a time). We've seen Nick for years teaching at other studios and dancing with his students at competitions and showcases. He always makes his students look great -dancing well and feeling confident. Next month it will be us dancing pro/am with Nick (me) and Marta (my husband)! We will also be dancing with each other.

He gave us a hard time for wanting to dance together and called us out mid class saying "well usually it's men as leads and women as followers but hey, it's 2025, who am I to judge." It was uncomfortable and unnecessary to call us out when we just wanted to be treated like what we are...a normal couple on a date night. I reached out to the owner afterwards to see if they could amend the situation and sadly got no response. I wanted to make sure other queer couples didn't have the same experience as us. We will definitely not be returning and will be sure to let others know about our negative experience.

I have seen the studio perform at a Dance Competition and was impressed with the quality of dance, the choreography, music and costume choices. What impressed me the most, however, was the team's camaraderie. These kids are so supportive of each other that I wished for my daughter to experience something this awesome. They looked so "happy" to be there and doing what they love. The studio has many dancers and parents so it's definitely not possible to know everyone but there is a special inclusiveness that I feel. The staff is phenomenal. The studio Director, Jennie Newman-Scheiwe is an amazing leader that I can't praise enough. What impressed me about her professionalism is how extremely organized she is and how she provides the parents patiently with detailed information about everything and always seems to go the extra mile. Her students are thought to be kind and welcoming towards new dancers and because there are so many kids, it seems like friendships form easily. There is room for any dancer, of any level and commitment. It was a tough choice for my daughter to switch studios and she did not transition easily. It was hard for me as well to watch her struggle and to put herself in this new environment. It was a big challenge for her, but Elite's studio culture and welcoming attitude of the staff, teachers and dancers made it so much easier each time she stepped inside. I consider us still being new to the studio but I am impressed so far and can't wait to find out what the future brings. When people ask me, "how is Elite?" I say "it's truly great", but you would need to see it for yourself to believe it, because it's not something one can explain. Change is good sometimes. After some emails, there was a misunderstanding so I brought my 13 year old on the wrong week for a…read moretrial class. The owner seemed a little rude that week, but I thought maybe she was having a bad day. But that is not my frustration. We returned the second week for the trial class. The entry is very small and we were told to tell the desk we were there for a trial class. First, the owner was very condescending and responded, "Can you give me a moment?" In a very short tone and a fake smile. At that point I was unsure whether this is someone I wanted to deal with on a weekly basis. But the final straw was - we stepped aside and waited, and waited, and waited. She then goes into a class and starts teaching it! We remained ignored. So I asked another woman. In the meantime the class starts. We find out the trial class is with children 11 and under. My 13 year old was done. Had the owner not seemed so nasty at even ONE interaction, it may have changed our mind. But we have already spoken to two other places that had a VERY different approach. ~Dr.K

Every dance lesson was like a little date leading up to the wedding, and then the actual moment was absolutely perfect and something I will never forget. Since we were so close to our wedding, our goal was to become more comfortable dancing together for our first dance and to do something other than the traditional "high school arms around the neck and waist" type of dance style. When calling to make the appointment I was able to get in touch with someone right away and they were extremely friendly and helpful. I called on a Tuesday and made an appointment for that Saturday. Our class was at 9:30AM with Debbie. Debbie was so friendly and personable. She listened to our first dance song and what we were looking to achieve from the lesson. In the 45 minutes, she left us with an intro to our dance, a rumba dance style we could do throughout, and a dip to close. It was more than I imagined but something we could realistically accomplish in two weeks without a crazy amount of practicing or skill level. Debbie provided a lot of valuable feedback throughout the class and stayed on pace so we were able to get the most out of our 45 minutes with her. We felt very prepared for our first dance and we are super excited for our wedding day! They also have 2 pack classes if you want more time to polish your first dance as well as several classes where you can have a very choreographed dance with intricate dance moves. For other couples I would definitely recommend to purchase more classes and to go way farther in advance than 2 weeks :) It is great that they take couples months out all the way to the week out who are just looking to improve their dance skills. The studio is gorgeous and there is plenty of space. I would definitely come back here for other dance classes and would recommend to any couples or singles looking to better their dance skills.

I was so excited on the day of MY Bachelorette Party to come to this establishment and have some fun with my Brides Maids. Instead, we arrived to locked doors, lights out and no one in the building. We waited and waited to see if anyone would show up. No one did. Someone forgot to actually schedule the class time. So no one knew to be there for our class. I understand mistakes happen. I do. But wouldn't you check to be sure you scheduled our class time before you took our $150 deposit??
