We had the best experience with the team at Fred Astaire. We wanted to learn to dance for our wedding and from the initial point of contact, everything was super easy and everyone was super nice. Jackie was so wonderful and kind and helped us come in to meet our instructor, Javier, who is incredibly talented and has the best disposition for helping people learn. Scheduling and the packages were super easy to understand and everything was explained thoroughly to us and we started our lessons! We ended up having a lot of fun and being prepared to have a very lovely first dance and we can't wait to send videos back to the team! I loved the idea of coming back to for a date night - Everyone was so kind, warm, helpful and encouraging! I learned so much about the incredible community that the studio has with all sorts of fun events and things to get people more comfortable dancing and socializing! Wonderful studio! My husband and I joined a few months ago for the purpose of learning a couple steps in order to dance at our son's wedding. Every staff member has been welcoming and encouraging to us as we have started a late-in-life dance journey. Despite how out of shape we are and our complete lack of experience, the instructors are always patient and cheer for every small step of progression; their expertise was clear from the 1st lesson! The wedding has come and gone and we are still signing up for lessons. And now, we are going to start taking advantage of the skills classes and super-fun events they hold regularly. If I could give this team 10 stars I would. The studio and it's amazing staff are truly just top notch!! We came to Jackie and Eugene several months before our wedding to make sure we learned as much as we could and we are so glad that we did. Not only did we learn a ton, but we had the time of our lives doing so. The instructors are patient, intelligent and impressive, but most importantly just FANTASTIC teachers. My husband says they made the impossible, possible, so if you are apprehensive, just trust us and drop in! They are also SO flexible. We both travel for work and have two teenagers at home, so scheduling is never easy. They never failed to make it work for us though and were always so accommodating. The choreography for our first wedding dance was no exception. Jackie and Eugene were so attentive and creative, and did so much more than just make our vision come to life. They made our dance intimate and romantic, but still made sure we showed off everything we had learned - all without looking forced or overly choreographed. When I envisioned our first dance, I always thought about making sure our guests were entertained, but it ended up being MY favorite part of our entire day. If you are thinking about taking lessons before your wedding, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. I could not more highly recommend this studio! We started out at Fred Astaire 4 years ago on a lark taking advantage of the free lesson. It was just something to do, you know get us off the couch. It turned out to be the best decision of our lives. We had so much fun at that first lesson, we laughed at ourselves the entire time, went out to dinner afterwards, and were still laughing..and for the next few years...are still laughing. We have made some of the best more enjoyable friends thru Fred Astaire, our social life has exploded to the point where we hardly ever "sit on the couch" or zombie in front of the digital expanse of the internet. We are making memories that will last a life time, memories that we can be proud of, and the pictures of us dancing together still astound us every time we see them. Who are these people who lived half their lives without knowing how to burn up the dance floor? I hardly remember them, and I am glad I don't. ANNE! I can't speak highly enough about our experience with Anne at Fred Astaire. She helped us work out a custom dance plan for the first dance at our wedding, she took the time to assess what we knew going in about dance, she was both our cheerleader and drill sergeant (in a good way!) during lessons. Anne made sure we were fully prepared- we even got to practice performing our dance in front of people we didn't know beforehand! Her choreography told a story, and made me feel sooooo pretty. If you want to have a first dance that impresses family and friends, but still looks and feels like you, Anne is your girl. LOVE!! read more

I'm amazed at how much they have been able to teach me. The other students are friendly and enthusiastic in welcoming newcomers. I've always been one who felt awkward around and about dancing. This studio and it's excellent staff has changed all that and made me into a ballroom dancer for life. They have provided an avenue for me and my spouse to reconnect in a shared interest. This is one of the newest studios in IL Region. It's huge and beautiful. I've been here for their grand opening party and was impressed with both the studio itself and the staff they hired. Jackie and Evgenii are very fun business owners and they have a true passion for ballroom dancing. They brought in instructors Dmitrii and Valeria from Ukraine who aren't only great dancers but were top dancers on Ukraine Got Talent and other international competition.
