My 2004 Lexus ES330 made a howling banshee noise when I turned on the ignition in a dark parking lot. To tow, or to chance a short drive home and risk breaking a belt? I drove it home, hoping the noise would be gone the next morning. No such luck. I squirted water on the blasted alternator belt to see if that would work (as Youtube said it would.) Again no such luck. The two Mobile mechanics I called were unavailable, so I had it towed to Rick in the Autopark. I happened to see his shop the other day when I was on foot. A one-man operation, exactly what I prefer. An old Lexus was rolling out of the driveway. Synchronicity? Rick listened to the howl, and said, "It's the alternator." I was suspicious, thinking, "My lights never flickered, battery is fine, put a voltmeter on it?" Instead of throwing me out for 2nd guessing him, he patiently said, "When the bearings go out, you won't get a reading." Later, when the mobile mechanic called back, I told the guy what happened. but not where I towed it. He agreed with Rick's diagnosis. Now, I have a new rebuilt Denso alternator (unless Rick sandblasted my old one to look new, haha,) and a new belt. Same day, in and out, including an oil/filter change, and some "ratpack" rodent repellent juju bags hanging in the engine compartment because of mouse tracks in there. The price shocked me, but I looked it up, and that IS what it costs. I was impressed by Integrity Imports clean shop, waiting room, and Rick's calm, patient, professional demeanor. After paying close to $100.00 at the Honda dealership for routine service ( oil change, tire rotation, brake inspection, etc.) I took my 2006 Honda Accord to Integrity Import Auto Service. Like many folks, I'm always trying to find a competent, fair, trustworthy mechanic. That's the Holy Grail of auto technicians right? We moved here a couple years ago from Colorado (where it's also hard to find a good mechanic!) and have tried several since we have been here, and were getting to the point where we thought we were going to be forced to go to the dealer for trustworthy service (gasp!). Rick and Integrity Import Service are the best in town. He is an honest, fair guy and I have absolutely no doubt that I can trust him. I took my car to Honda Escondido for an oil change and they discovered a leak. I wasn't pleased with their customer service, so I decided to take it to an indpendent shop to have the leak checked out. A co-worker recommended Integrity, which is about a block away from the Honda dealership. Rick did not charge me ANYTHING to diagnose the oil leak. I have never received a complimentary diagnostic before! Most places charge at least an hour of labor. He gave me an estimate of repair, and when I came back for my appointment, it turned out to be about $30 less than what he initially quoted me. My car is ten years old and now in great shape thanks to Rick. He knows what he's doing, and he does it for a fair, realistic price. I'll never go back to the dealership again! read more

Went over the entire car, told me what I needed and what I would need in the future but not right now.
