We spent a lot of $ to get the best we could afford. The air went out in the middle 0f summer. They came to fix it only to tell us they needed parts. New parts came and system went out again. It was 110 degrees outside and 82 inside. After 3 more call outs they replaced the unit (Carrier) with a new one. Just two days ago our heater went out. After a service call the technician came two days later. Our house chilled to 63 degrees and it was 32 degrees outside. The tech said we needed a part that was in Idaho so we would have to wait a couple more days, double up on blankets, and freeze our ----- off.
