After two homes next door to…read moreme pipes burst, due to polybutylene pipes that were used 30 years ago, I decided to repipe. It took them 6 days and made my home livable every night. After they were done the drywall guys came which the company provided. They also found while in the attic a Hugh gap in my air conditioner in which they informed me that the plenum was not attached and aligned. Before I found out about Walker heating and air my neighbor recommended the company he used when my air conditioner which lasted 27 years needed to be replaced. That was Calaway heating and air. They cut a lot corners in which I had water leaking through my ceiling. Walker found their errors and financially it took me a year before I was able to have Walker finish fixing their errors. During my winter checkup Walker found that my water softener was not working. I knew something was wrong because of how the water felt. I was wasting salt on a unit that was not working. He also found after flushing my hot water heater that the anode rod was corroded. I definitely learned a lot with this company, and the guys politely answered all my questions as I knew nothing about their trade. These young men were very polite and knowledgeable. Walker heating and air has a great group of professionals.

Wow! Saturday afternoon my kitchen drain started to drain slowly…read more I figured it was a clog so I took apart all the pipes under the sink including the one from the garbage disposal. Could not find any clog so I reassembled everything and and started using a plunger covering the disposal to create a tight seal. After 20 minutes, it still drained poorly with a nasty odor added to my woes. At about 4:00pm I started calling around and got nothing but answering services from the "open 24 hours" guys who would gladly book me the following week. I called "Dixie Drain Doctor" and got Steve on the line. I explained my problem and he explained he was booked till about 8:00pm that night but he'd be more than happy to be there at 9:00am Sunday morning to unclog my drain!?! Yep!, He showed up at 8:45am, cheerful and courteous with his "snake machine" He immediately went to work and threaded about 75 feet till he hit an obstruction that was 5 feet in lenght! Ugh! After cleaning up and checking all pipe connections for leaks we were good to go! Expecting a whopping Sunday service charge I was blown away with an invoice close to $100 bucks! Seriously!!!!, he discounted his fee for seniors! I had him also give me a quote for a softwater install and again a very resonable price to what I had been quoted elsewhere.
