That was a little beyond my "electrical skill" level, so we decided to look for a professional. I heard about JnJ on Craigslist and decided to give him a call. Todd, owner/operator of JnJ, was very curteous and was eager to come by and check out the job. He showed up exactly at the time we agreed upon and was able to quote the job, and complete it, in less than 30 mins. His price was great and we were very happy with the end result. I will definitely be calling JnJ again for future electrical needs!

This happened over a week ago. But imagine (if you will): awaking in the early morning attempting to get ready for work on a typical New England wintry day, when you notice the hot water is gone. As my heart sank to my nether regions, I feared the worst. Upon reaching the basement, my greatest anxieties were quickly realized as I witnessed what can only be described as a literal geyser erupting from my now dilapidated excuse of a water heater. In short, ladies and gentlemen, this thing was toast. With my basement partially flooded and my family potentially facing frigid showers, there was only one thing to do: contact the heating company who would quickest solve this dilemma for us. After scouring the four corners of Yelp for a little under an hour, A.J. LeBlanc was the first to respond. Due to it being incredibly snowy and dangerous out there (not mention having 3 other jobs earlier that same day), it took them a while to arrive. Once they did though, they were extremely accommodating, professional, and precise with their installation. After working out the quote and payment details, they were able to arrive with the necessary parts THE VERY SAME DAY! I don't think I need to tell you how important this point was for us, considering not all companies in the area can necessarily pull this off on such short notice. I won't tell you how much we spent that day. But let's just say it was just shy of a king's ransom. Nevertheless, it was quite worth every penny. They say you can't buy peace of mind, but Leblanc's prompt service comes damn close. What impressed me the most was not only the superb install job (which you can clearly see in the photos I posted); but also their brief yet thorough instruction on how everything works on the brand spanking new heater. It's worth noting that they made a big deal about making sure everything was done strictly to code. And we are eternally grateful, especially after learning the former water heater (which I *think* was around 8 years old) was severely outdated. I mean, the thing didn't even have a drain pan. Imagine having just a water heater sitting on the ground with nothing to catch any leaks. *sigh* Anyway.. The new water heater comes with a 6 year warranty. So, should anything unexpected happen before 2029, we'll know who to call. These guys probably saved our lives that day. Because I know I certainly didn't feel like catching hypothermia via shower due to an out-of-date, busted ass water heater from 2015. As such, I'm giving A.J. LeBlanc Heating, Inc. 5 state of the art water heaters out of 5.

I tried to fix it myself but wasn't able to, so I searched for electricians in our area. This was the only company that took my call that day. My initial impression was good. The service provider came when he said he would (Tuesday) and was able to partially fix the problem but not finish it completely. I paid him for his time that day and we agreed to be in contact about setting up a follow-up visit to finish the work. I emailed, as he asked, then sent a text which was how we had communicated before that, then finally after several days without a response I called. Long story short, after two weeks of spotty communication and non-committing responses, he ghosted us. If he didn't want to finish the project, I would have appreciated and respected him saying so. Rather, he just kept putting it off, saying he was busy but check back later, and offering no remedy while we were without power to several outlets in our bedrooms. We had our regular electrician come over and finish the work in about an hour and a half along with some other projects we needed done. I was hoping to have someone to call when our regular electrician is unavailable, but Aries won't be on that list.

High Ground Service Pros in Milford, NH, aka Sanford Temperature control, did a terrific job in replacing my old Lennox furnace back in March of 2024, so I called them on Friday, 7/3/26 for an estimate appointment. That culminated in their estimator/sales rep Zach arriving, as scheduled, on Monday 7/6/26. Zach proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable & courteous as he evaluated all the variables that would impact the difficulty of installing a new system, and he readily answered all my questions. He provided a very competitive estimate for installing my preferred, high quality Rheem brand system to replace the old Lennox system--an estimate I readily accepted. The installation was scheduled for Friday 7/10/26. That's when the HVAC installation techs Kyle and Jason arrived early to get the job done. They proved to be real pros who completed the job with meticulous precision and attention to detail, leaving me confident that I would not have to take advantage of High Ground Service Pro's remarkable Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee. In summary, I STILL recommend High Ground Service Pros, aka Sanford. If you like, you can watch a 30 minute 33 second, time-lapsed, multi-camera video of the 4 hour installation at this link: https://youtu.be/YAypViCgqqA

I was a customer of Sanford Temperature Control for many years and the service was great. Recently…read morethey "re-branded" as High Ground. Since then the service has been terrible. Almost a month ago I called just before a heat wave to report that my central AC was not working. They sent a tech the next day. After an hour's work he told me that he could not fix the AC because he did not have the necessary equipment. Huh? They sent a tech to fix the AC and didn't send him with the right equipment to fix an AC? Then he said he would "try to come back tomorrow" with the right equipment. Tomorrow came, and he didn't. So I called High Ground and was told that the appointment had been set up for a full week from that day. How did "tomorrow" turn into the end of next week? Anyway, the heat wave came and went and I did not have AC. A few techs finally showed up at the end of the next week with the equipment they said they needed and worked for an hour. Then they told me they would have to order a part and charged me a deposit of $900.00. The AC still didn't work without that part. Another heat wave came and went with no AC. I called again and asked if the ordered part had come in. I was told that the tech who worked on the AC was on vacation and would not be back until the following week. At that time they would review the account and find out what was going on with the part and the service to install it. What the... Why did he have to be present to find out what was going on with the part? Why didn't High Ground know whether or not the part came in and assign another tech while the first one was on vacation? By the time he returns, I will have gone without AC for over 3 weeks since I first reported the problem. Totally unacceptable. Do not do business with this incompetent outfit. They don't know what they're doing.
