I found the paperwork on the system and noted it was installed by Comfort Air and gave them a call as soon as they opened. I told them the AC was out and the thermostat was reading blank. They immediately sent a service tech over, and he had the problem diagnosed, serviced, and had the system up cooling my house again within 30 minutes. Then Dean gave me some training to ensure I did not have the same issue again, plus some tips on how to get the best results from heating and cooling systems here on the Gulf coast. I can not adequately express the gratitude I have for this company and their customer service. Finally , I have to note that the equipment was still under warranty, but the labor warranty had expired. Regardless of this expiration, the service fee and labor costs were all waived. This is beyond fair, and companies like this are another reason I am happy I returned to NW Florida as my permanent residence.

Since Dean retired and his son Mitchell now runs the company, nothing is the same. Mitchell does not answer or return calls. He is never on time. He doesn't start his day before 11. He promises to arrive at 8 but doesn't show up or call. He shows up with the wrong part, leaves to go get the right one and is gone for 3+ hours. It has been more than a week and the job is not finished. He is also messy and does a poor job of cleaning up. After 13 days since I first contacted him, I have multiple holes in my ceiling, dust all over, and the problem is not fixed.

I believe I was overcharged for a 2 ton unit, and the install techs were very sloppy. They had to make several return trips to correct things that were done wrong. I figured out how to remove the stopper, I videoed this - removed the hair, showed the FREE DRAINING TUB. $325 and HE COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO DO THIS. OH AND - $325 AFTER BEING QUOTED $99 FOR A SITE VISIT. I am reversing that charge AND putting in a complaint with the state licensing.

He didn't have the part we needed, but he was able to keep it going until he could come back later in the day to install the part. Blake was professional, friendly and efficient getting the work done. The price for the part and service was very reasonable. We appreciated his honesty and not trying to upsell us a new unit.
