Integral DJs were recommended to us for our wedding by a coworker of my husband's who used them for her wedding. They work closely on large events for their job, so a recommendation from her carried a lot of weight. Not only did Integral meet our expectations, they exceeded them on every level. During our consultation call, Marc was extremely professional asking all sorts of questions about our event, the venue, what kind of vibe we were trying to curate, and talking us through the different options they offer as a team. In preparation for the event they sent over one of the best planning spreadsheets we have ever used. It had everything: a planning timeline, a place for name pronunciations, a place for must-play songs and absolutely no-play songs, any special requests or events we had, and so much more. For those of you who love planning and attention to detail, you will not be disappointed. For the wedding itself, we were assigned DJ Tone and we honestly cannot imagine having a better time. We sent him a playlist of songs for the reception that we loved but asked him to please use his talents to mix in whatever he felt fit. From the second the dance floor opened it was packed and you could tell that Tone took time to prepare to make our night unforgettable. When we began planning our wedding, one of the key things we wanted to do was make our guests feel hosted and honored. Kitman did exactly that. We had 150 guests from all over the US and the world, and Kitman carved out a piece of the party for all of them, somehow weaving it all together. It was *hot* in our venue, and people had to take breaks for cool air, but we actually had to move tables to make the dance floor bigger. The floor was full or nearly full from our first dance at 8:45 to last call at 11:30. Other DJs told us that was way too much time; Kitman just said "right on." Kitman is an amazing listener and will find the exact right music for you and your guests. My partner and I love music, but we're not great at explaining what we listen to. We also had a really diverse group of guests, from Mike's small town Massachusetts grannie to friends from India, Latin America, and other places around the world. Kitman just nailed it. He started with American pop and rock from the 70s and 80s that pleased everyone and had half the party dancing. Over time, he mixed it up, introducing picks for different subgroups of guests. He even researched salsa and Latin pop for me -- not something that's on his normal list of genres -- and he got it exactly right, choosing favorites like Bésame (suavecito). A few other lovely touches: * he worked with our parents to add a slideshow of childhood photos for each of our parent-child dances * he chose the exact right time to play my partner's grannie's first dance song ("Always") so they could dance together * The one time momentum on the dance floor did start to flag, he and my bridesmaids conspired to get Black Eyed Peas playing -- and everyone was back!
