Caulk failed prior to first heavy rain. -Slider on back of house also lacked an aluminum rain cap and caulk when payment was requested for a completed job. I called and Maris came out and caulked. No capping on slider. -"Installation includes all caulking/aluminum capping-where needed" is stated on the Maris contract. -First heavy rain 3 weeks after install I had heavy water running down the sheathing and interior foundation wall below one window where caulk failed, and wrap was catching water. -Maris paid for Servpro water remediation to dry up the water and do a flood cut after I requested it. Maris and I agreed to have Alside's warranty contractor detail and repair all the issues from my install in April 2024. See after picture of the water intrusion window where an aluminum rain cap was never installed. Window was taped.

This crew he sent out had no ladder to get into my attic ( which I suggested they check out) so I pushed my kitchen table under the entrance to my attic so they could get up and through the opening !! As it turns the plumbing vent pipe that this company installed was the reason for the leak between my roof and my interior ceiling. They put caulk round this pipe and told me it was fixed!? Our system is undersized, and this has been confirmed by multiple other contractors who I had look at our home. They used cheap over-the-door passthroughs that let in light and noise and don't provide sufficient return, they put in undersized duct work and an under sized A/C unit, and they tell me that when I can't get my daughter's room below 79 degrees that everything is working as expected! I called multiple times in the last few weeks trying to speak to someone about the issues I'm having and they won't even return my calls. AVOID this company at all costs, or you will end up paying for it down the road. I'm looking at a $6k bill to have another company come and fix the mistakes this company made.

The other gave quotes without doing any measurements. Clearview owner Marc made measurements and the a day later, sent in his window team to make exact measurements. I had all the exterior of my 1991 ranch completely redone. Upgraded polymer interlocking insulated vinyl siding with a moisture barrier wrap Tyvek underneath the siding. Brand new top grade soffet installed with new maintenance gutters. Also had them install an upgraded new front door. Huge difference with outside noise and temperature reduction.. Project was completed on time and on budget. Marc either called or showed up on the job site everyday. I have never dealt with a contractor professional of this caliber. Clearview should be your ONLY choice for sidings and windows in the St. Louis are. Thanks Marc!!
