Trevor provided…read morethat much needed customer support and hand holding while I was stressed from the BOA Legal department which in my opinion improperly and perhaps illegally (unauthorized) froze one of my (17 yr old) checking accounts mid-July which was used to auto pay. The aforementioned account was an ordinary checking account, not a conservatorship account. I take copious notes, constructed a detailed documented timeline of this four week issue and was prepared to escalate the problem resolution as far as necessary. Although legal provided nothing in writing, my understanding is they wanted me to ask the court to change one word of the court Co-Conservator document from "And"to "or". Had not realized the account was frozen until notified of check which bounced and rejected auto pay both resulted in $$ penalties, one waived but the other cost me $100 (not happy). Only after Trevor escalated situation to his management, and I threatened to complain and escalate to both BOA management as well as four other avenues of escalation did the problem get resolved last Friday. Trevor called me late Friday and was even willing to keep the office open later if necessary in order that the account got closed and funds transferred. If not for Trevor, I would have transferred my four accounts (1 Trust, 1 Conservatorship, 2 ordinary checking) plus multiple CDs to Chase. As far as I'm concerned BOA owes me $100 and BOA Legal owes me an apology for all the unnecessary stress. Thank you again, Trevor.

TD put the checks on hold, which they legally can do and I have no problem with. I met with Sheryl yo see how long the hold woukd be. She pulled-up my account and told me she could see the checks were deposited, cleared and I had spent the money. No matter how I attempted to explain to her and basic math would have shown that I had not spent the money. I left frustrated and feeling belittled, called customer service and they were able to quickly see the money eas in fact just on hold, not spent and gave me a date of availability. The CS agent called her while I was on hold explained the situation to her and still claimed I had spent the money.

They acquired my through acquisition of Century bank.  Proceeded to not inform me and wrongfully destroy my credit.  Refused to undo their mistake citing internal policy I was mostly disturbed when on a recorded chat line your customer service agent told me "Its your responsibility to pay your loan and it doesn't matter if we told you or not" This is an example of the toxic culture that exists at Eastern.  These predatory rules were designed and put in place by the executives.  If they put as much effort into helping your customers as you did into ruining their day you would be a terrific financial services partner. I managed to make on time payments for 7 years and have excellent credit.  A few months of having Eastern bank in my life turned my credit score upside down.

Absolutely asinine that this bank can tell me what I can and can't do with MY money, based on THEIR policies. I'm going to Turkey and mentioned while I'm there I will need to wire some money over. I stopped in a couple weeks before my trip just to see what can be done so there is no hiccup. I was told that I cannot wire money unless I'm present at the bank... And while they were trying to figure out a way to work around this, they looked up their policy on wiring money, and Turkey is one of the countries that they are not allowed to wire money to. Absolutely ridiculous that they develop these policies to protect people from themselves. I don't need protection from myself. If I am in Turkey and would like to wire money to myself versus carrying a couple thousand dollars around in cash, that is my prerogative. Now I'm being forced to potentially lose all of this cash. A couple months ago, someone from the bank told me that they developed these policies just in case I am forced to send money or have a kidnapped family member abroad. For argument sake, I turned around and looked at her and said, with all due respect, if someone kidnaps my child from another country, I'm going to wire them every penny in my bank account to get my child back, so who the hell are you to tell me "sorry you cannot wire money to get your child back"?!?! Absolute garbage!
