Today in particular I got a new air filter because my old one was disgusting and needed replacing. That may sound like they are trying to see me but that couldn't be farther from the truth. I needed an oil change. The manager looked for reasons to not give me an oil change. I was told my oil filter was loose (no oil leaking from it) and I was told the drain plug was stripped (it was not and not leaking). I was asked if I changed my oil myself. I was asked if I put oil in the truck recently. I was asked who changed my oil last. The order to not change my oil came NOT from the guy in the pit, but the manager who showed up to stop the oil change. Sadly, he did not get there in time to prevent the guy in the pit from draining enough oil from my vehicle to cause a serious drop in oil pressure when I was sent home. I was even told by the manager that he did not put oil in my truck. I don't know why I was was discriminated against, but I got very poor service. I just wanted my oil changed, and the "oil-change-place" I went to could not even perform that task. read more

I typically use one of this national chains when I need an oil change but having moved midtown, none of those appear nearby. So after driving past Insta-Lube for the last two years, I finally decided to give it a try. I arrived shortly after eight in the morning and was promptly directed into the bay. Like most of these places, I stayed in the car while they completed the oil changes, topped fluids, etc. I loved that they don't attempt to upsell uneeded services. I was in and out within 10--15 minutes. While the staff was not overly friendly, they were professional and prompt. I had gone here with a friend of mine to get her car's oil changed. The process took less than 15 minutes. The staff was very friendly and took care of us and even checked the tires for free! There was no side costs, just a simple oil change without charging outrageous prices for unreasonable changes. My other friend went for an oil change and they had put the more expensive oil, accidentally thinking that was the oil she wanted in but were helpful enough to take the expensive oil out and the lesser oil in for free and no hassle! Originally I was going to leave a 2 star review before the problems started. The guy at the desk was very RUDE and it was the most expensive oil change I've ever got and they didnt do any check overs. Then.... About 8 hours later my truck motor became very noisy. It turns out that they overtighten the oil filter cover and cracked it. (Another mechanic verified it was over tightened) 6.5 qts of oil sprayed out all over the truck and stained our driveway badly. I understand that mistakes happen. When I called to talk to the owner we EXTREMELY rude. They are not willing to take any responsibility for it. All I was asking for was the money it costed me to fix and tow. Then he told me that he is going to leave my company bad reviews when my construction business 1000 miles away had nothing to do with what happened to my truck. Even if he paid the out of pocket it costed me. I still have permanent damage to my motor. It now burns oil, 2mpg worse and makes a knocking sound at idle. As you can see in the other reviews. I have gone to this place for my past oil changes, they're great and today I went there to get an oil change after my check engine light came on and had a solenoid code come up and I was told by a trusted mechanic to make sure I have oil in the car before replacing that part and I needed an oil change anyway by that point, so I went to go get an oil change at this place and they told me I had an oil leak going on and offered to change my oil but I was going to have to get my oil changed anyway after getting this oil leak fixed and offered to just top my oil off since I'm gonna have to get an oil change anyway after dealing with the leak. They told me about what was wrong with my car right off the bat and even sent me a picture of it and topped off my oil for no charge. This place is great, very trustworthy mechanics. I highly recommend getting your regular oil changes at this place. They are very kind and know what they are doing. read more

$63 for an oil change. No thanks. I was a few blocks away so I stopped in here for an oil change. Pulled in and the sign on the wall stated $56 for a synthetic blend oil change. I asked the attendant if they had conventional oil. No they do not. He informed me that the oil change for my car would be $63. I asked if that included the $8 off that was shown on the sign. He said yes. He told me some nonsense about an OEM oil filter and extra capacity oil pan. My car has a small four-cylinder engine and does not require extra oil. I have also had the oil changed at other places and they never charged extra or mentioned any special oil filter. I left without getting my oil changed. Stay away from this place. read more

10000/10 best service in town. I have always taken my car here for oil changes and the guys who help me are always incredible. Today, however, I woke up to a dead car battery for the third time this week. Obviously it was time for a new battery. I frantically called Dakota (the general manager) at Insta-Lube and asked if they could get me in today for a new battery. He went out of his way to look up my car, search his system to make sure he had a battery in stock and then told me I could come right away and they would handle everything. Once I got a jump on my battery to head over, he personally removed the old battery and installed the new one quickly and efficiently and I was on my way to work! 1 star for politeness and quick service. The reason it was so quick is because they only changed oil, transmission fluid. They have a check off sheet of where they checked all fluids filters air pressure and tires etc and we watch them NOT do it! tl;dr - They were quick, I didn't need to even leave my car, the price was way cheaper than one of the national chain "quick change" places in town, and there was no pressure to upsell. Both our vehicles needed oil changes. I took our first one, a 2008 Prius, to one of the national "quick change" chain locations and the price was $80+. The next day, since I was in that part of town, I took our 2016 van to Insta-Lube. I didn't even have to get out of the car. They changed the oil, slapped a new sticker on the windshield, and the price was $30 cheaper! I'll definitely be taking my cars here now for oil changes. read more

My dad recommended Insta-Lube to me. This place was super convenient. You pull up to one of the garage doors, they let you in. You never get out of your car. They check all fluids and check your air pressure in your tires (and change your oil of course). These guys are super friendly and efficient. You have the option to drop your vehicle off or you can drive through their bay and wait in your car as they work on it. It takes the crew about 15 minutes to finish an oil change. I drive a German made vehicle and it takes a specific oil, not to mention they didnt say it would be $95.00 which had I known that Id took it to a dealership, they only charge $20.00 more, clean and wash my car and its done right! This is the best oil quick change service in Omaha. I have been using them since 2003 and have never had any problems and have always been treated fairly. I wish this place would post their normal oil change prices--there are none posted in the bays at all.
