Feeling Inspired after a fabulous workout at Inspire. I took advantage of the first time client deal and took two classes for $35. They operate sign ups through the MindBody app and have a good amount of class offerings scattered throughout the day. My first class was great! I appreciated that the instructor was super welcoming and took the time to explain the machine. During class, she was highly attentive to everyone's needs and gave great cues and affirmation. She also shared ways to modify. My second class was spicier! The instructor started at the back of the carriage and it was a killer ab workout. Music was great in both classes! Both classes flew by, but were great workouts. A little movement can pack quite the punch. I enjoyed the class and think this is a great pilates studio. This is a single room studio with cubbies along the back wall and a bathroom. read more

I recently moved to Seattle and have been on a search to find a new Pilates studio to call home. I tried a few other studios in the area prior to coming here and was repeatedly disappointed. On day one at Inspire, I had Kim who was so welcoming and taught an awesome and challenging class. Since then I have taken classes with Mara, Sarah and Becca who have all been phenomenal! The classes are hard though can be paced to your level by just taking breaks along the way on your own accord. The real difference between an okay to great studio is having instructors that can correctly queue and correct technique to ensure you are doing the exercise correct and targeting the intended muscle groups. Every instructor I have had thus far has done just that, which elevates every class and pushes you every time you come to class. Super excited to continue to take classes here ! read more

What a great space and even more amazing workout!! I came here for the first time last week and the instructor, Brett was fantastic at making me feel welcomed and included. She created an awesome full body workout and also pushed everyone to go make each rep count. The space itself was incredibly clean. They only allow 10 people max per class so you're able to have a more personal experience with your instructor. The reformers are not difficult to use and the instructors ensure that you know how the machine operates before class starts. You must wear grip socks to every class, and if you don't have any, they sell some at the entrance. Furthermore, you put your belongings in the cubbies up by the front of the class to prevent theft. They have a water refilling station and restroom located at back of the room. I would definitely come back for more classes and recommend this to all my friends to try it out at least once! Had the pleasure of taking a reformer Pilates class here a couple of weeks ago and I will for sure be back. I told the instructor it was my first time and I would need some modifications and she was awesome without making me feel bad for being pretty out of shape. It's a small studio with only ten reformers so you can ask for assistance if needed. I will for sure be back in the future once my knee is feeling better! read more

I've been a huge fan of Pilates ever since high school. Not wanting to predate and make myself sound ancient, but I use to do Windsor Pilates's everyday. Well fast forward to 2017 to a more modern, upscale, and intense version, we get lagree. It incorporates elements from Pilates in a strength training way to get the most efficient low impact / high intensity work out. It's simply my new favorite. The Ballard studio is extremely beautiful and modern. I prefer it over the Queen Anne location as the cubbies are within the studio so eliminate any sort of thefts. As for the instructors, they do move between Queen Anne / Ballard (not sure on West Seattle) so you'll never have to miss out on your favorite instructor if you have to go to the other location. read more

I wanted to take 3 classes before I write a review on Inspire. To give you an idea of my fitness background, I prefer to take strength training classes. After seeing pics on instagram of people performing lagree workouts, I decided to give this place a try. So what exactly is lagree? Lagree uses a machine called a megaformer where you preform strength training moves such as sliding lunges, pikes, planks, and kicks to name a few. It does look similar to the pilates reformer machine but the megaformer has more resistance than a reformer. Anyways, at first glance, the machine looked like a tourture device with all the springs and straps attached to it. Anyways, I figured that I would do fine in this class since I do lift regularly. And I was proven wrong by Inspire. My first class had my abs burning like crazy well into the next day. You do get a full body workout but I have learned that depending on the instructor, one part of your body will burn more than the rest. My most recent session with Ari really worked my glutes hard with the squats and lower body work she incorporated in her session. The studio itself is kept impeccably clean. They do have a kombucha tap station near the entrance, although I have yet seen anyone use it. I do plan to ask about it at my next class. Inspire is a great studio for all levels of fitness in my opinion. If you're looking for a workout that will kill your abs, sign up for a class here. read more

Slow paced (every move takes about 4 seconds) and that makes your muscles burn so good. Every instructor is different but they all seem to focus on form which I appreciate. The classes generally aren't beginner friendly, as there are many parts to the machine and lots of different ways to position yourself on and around it. You can catch on by looking at other experienced people, but that's not easy when everyone is stationed in a straight row. Studio is super clean with open cubbies for storage and a bathroom. One of the THE MOST challenging work outs known to man. It's fast paced, and will challenge every single muscle in your body. I would definitely recommend a beginners class if you've never been on a power reformer/never done any reformer classes, as it takes a while to get a hang of. The teachers are all extremely diverse, I've taken with mostly off of them and they're all special and unique and have different teaching methods. I just tried my first class here, and that was also the first time I ever did Lagree or even pilates of any kind. The studio is really, really beautiful, the instructor was encouraging and was adjusting everyone's form throughout the class. The machines truly are fantastic for a strength workout. If you're a newbie like me, or just generally feel unsure, I would suggest you signup for their 8am beginners classes or do a private session before you jump into the regular class. I've been to other Pilates classes and this is by far my favorite studio. The instructors are incredibly friendly and personable. They really make an effort to know your name and remember your face. The workouts are hard but very doable- everything at your own pace (with modifications). This studio is not intimidating like other boutique studios I've been to and the other class takers are really friendly. I always feel sore (in the good way) the next day after my workout. My go-to daily routine is to go to Inspire early in the morning and walk over to Verve to get a large açaí bowl. read more

If you want a quick, effective way to tone your body this is THE place to be. If you've tried several different styles of workout and can't seem to stick to one you like, please try Inspire. It's a challenging 40 minutes but if you give it a chance you will undoubtedly see results you've not seen before. This is in large part due to the fact that no other places focus on strengthening and lengthening your small muscles. This leaves your body looking more leaner than bulkier! I lost an inch in each of my arms, hips and thighs by the end of my first 12 classes. I've never had quick results like that in any other workout I've done before. Best paired with spin! read more

This is the BEST exercise I have done for myself in a while. I have been an avid spinner, HiiTer, and runner...lagree is hands down the most challenging of these. The studio itself is amazing and I love all the instructors I have taken (huge shout out to Rebekah and Shana!). Best workout I have ever had. I've been going to this studio for a few months now, and the workouts never disappoint. Each instructor gives a different feel to each class but I always leave sweaty, shaky and empowered. The studio is clean but can get a little warm on nice days if you're in the last class - I try to think of it as an extra challenge. Someone explained Lagree to me as Pilates on Crack. I would say that is a fair assessment! Its definitely the most challenging exercise I have ever tried as I have done mostly yoga for the past 20 years. As well as challenging, Lagree is also extremely addictive! I am religiously working out 3 times a week at the studio. The fact that you receive this intense of a workout in only 40 minutes is the key for me. I love the feeling right after I have finished class, I instantly forget the pain and have the I did it feeling! The instructors all have different styles but are all great teachers and know how to kick your butt. I must say the machine was a bit intimidating at first, but once you get the hang of it, no big deal. My body looks better than it has in years, the effects of the work out are noticeable rather quickly. The studio is great, and I am so happy that it is walking distance from my home. read more

I had a rough go of it on my first class with an impatient, unfriendly instructor. I nearly abandoned Inspire altogether, but I'm so glad I was able to look past that and stick it out. Let me be frank, you'll feel lost the first handful of classes because there's a lot to keep track of--different resistance bands, handles to hold, movements, feet and hand placement. It sometimes feels like a high stakes game of Twister. I was lucky to have some incredible and patient instructors following my first experience that really helped me learn moves and proper form. You eventually get the hang of it, and now three months later, 2x a week classes, have totally changed my body. I get knee pain easily from high impact workouts, and this workout is easier on my body while resulting in definition in my abs and arms that I've never had before. My poor posture has also dramatically improved. I no longer feel lost and can move from move to move quickly and I'm so glad that I stuck it out because the results are worth it. I highly recommend classes with Shana, Olivia, Ari and Mackenzie. read more

Cannot say enough about Inspire and it's instructors. They really helped me regain abdominal strength after two pregnancies (one C-section). The instructors are always on point and helpful whether you're just starting out or have been going for a long time. The music is motivating and the studio is clean. this is a much better functionally designed space than its sister studio in queen ann - cubbies are in the studio itself so your stuff is safe and sound. there's also a kombucha tap which is amazing though never open / working during the early morning sessions. instructors are reallllly hit or miss at this location. some are wonderful and correct form in a productive way. others are broken records who give directions with little guidance. in all a solid location and great workout read more

I love the Lagree method, after I moved to Ballard I was only looking for a regular pilates studio when I came across this and I didn't really know what I was getting into when I signed up. The studio is beautiful and they offer Kombucha on tap as well. It is a full body workout that I felt was more effective than working out on my own. I've come to two classes so far (a beginner's and a total body). Both classes were challenging and I now understand why the class length is 40 minutes. The workout is small movement which is great for muscle toning, with lots of core and lower body work. The machine is not as difficult or intimidating as it looks and the instructors are helpful in their corrections.
