She even fixed the shape of my acrylics from another salon, and they look SO much better now. You can tell she really takes her time and pays attention to every detail. The salon itself is super clean, relaxing, and has such a great vibe. They have real plants throughout the space, which makes it feel so fresh and calming. Everyone was friendly and professional, and I never felt rushed. I'm so glad I found this place--definitely my new go-to! Highly recommend if you're looking for beautiful, clean nails and a great overall experience : )

I'm not too sure about this establishment. I made an appointment and showed up 15 minutes earlier…read morebecause I decided to get a pedicure in addition to my acrylic fill. I picked up my color and started my pedicure. I think the nail shop just made too many comments about the state of my nails. They kept talking about how there was so much dead skin on my feet and that it was "weird". I decided to do a polish change when it was time to polish my toes and typically the nail tech will grab similar colors because the color I wanted was just too dark but they had me get up and walk to the color station to pick out a new color. When I came time to do the refill on my nails, it took so long to renew the top because it was lifting around the cuticles, so I understood that it would take some time before they could lay the new acrylic on top. But again this nail tech kept making comments about how my cuticles were so dry and how some of my nails were a different color. For years, I thought it was a vitamin deficiency, but I learned that due to acrylics your nails can be permanently bruised, and that's what I have on some of my nails again this nail tech just kept pointing it out and calling it weird. We finally get to the polish time I decide since I didn't like the color of my toes. I was just going to do regular French tips on my nails. They looked dead in my face and told me that they didn't have time to do French tips.Who doesn't have time to do French tips??? It's so common. I thought it was interesting that the woman next to me changed her polish three times and then got silver flowers put on every single one of her nails. Why didn't they have time to give me French tips but they could give her a whole floral design? ( I'm hoping it's not what I think it is) Finally, at the end after my nails were all dried. My fingers were so ashy, and my cuticles were white. I thought he would have offered to put some cuticle oil or at least give me lotion so I had to ask for it and then as they were applying it, they just kept making comments about how they were so dry. I don't know. I just felt like an outsider and I don't think I'll be back to the establishment. I was kind of in a pickle and just needed to get my nails done quickly so based off reviews online, I picked this salon, but I don't think I'll be returning.

Really relaxing and lovely. Lenny, the owner, feeds the birds outside. So, I would look out the window at the birds while my hair was processing. Or read a magazine. It was always a lovely, relaxing experience and I miss it alot. I moved because of the pandemic so I'm 200+ miles away now. I honestly don't understand the viciousness behind some of these reviews. I don't have to share someone's political views to appreciate their talents. This is a small business and they rely on good reviews to get new clients. Also, its not a wall of political memorabilia. Lenny is very much into the organic hair movement and he does have letters from various presidents because of his work with that. And, on the importance on the education of stylists. Not only did I never have a bad experience at Roots, I never saw anyone else have a bad experience while I was there. In fact, women would often pop in and say how happy they were with their hair, or that they had brought their mother there and she was happy, etc. etc. Again, I was going at least once a month for two years or so. I saw alot. None of it was staged. All of it was good. I never felt that I was overcharged. Highlights aren't cheap, so I would get them intermittently and know exactly how much I was being charged. Asking ahead of time saves sticker shock. It seems very bitter to me to not ask how much one is being charged, get a treatment, and then write a bad review because one feels that they have been overcharged even though whatever treatment was done was good. I guess that makes some people feel powerful? If so, its a sad statement. This is an organic salon. Lenny, the owner, knows his stuff. Organic can cost more than not organic. But even so, it was never that expensive for me. In fact, I paid less at Roots for an organic single process than I do now for a non-organic one at my new location.
