This was a total bummer for me. I was really looking forward to shopping at this Inspirations location because it was so large and I've had good luck at other locations in the past. There's a large selection of clothes and a huge selection of shoes. However, everything is extremely expensive for a thrift store. Yes, everything is in good condition and some pieces are brand new. However, 80% of the tops I looked at were priced at $12 and above. I was shocked. I was so distracted by the prices, I couldn't look at the clothes. I definitely saw tons of things I liked but some sweatshirts and sweaters were $25, which is equal to what you'd pay for a brand new clothing item in TJ Maxx or Marshall's. The upside is that mostly everything is a name brands and there are a few vintage pieces hidden in the racks. But the prices are unjustifiable for a used clothing store. $25 for a used Colombia sweater? I tried on a brand new one at TJ Maxx the other day for $34. At that point, I might as well spend the extra few dollars and buy it new. I really couldn't justify buying used clothes for these prices. Another thing I noticed was that many sweaters were $22 and $24 and so were the jackets! To me, that didn't make any sense. How are the jackets the same price? I even saw a jacket on the rack marked at $99 which is something I'd expect for behind the register. Despite the prices, there was a large selection of scarves, shoes, and seasonal home goods (Christmas and Halloween). There's one aisle of books which looked to be mostly children's from my quick glance, and a wall of purses that were again over priced. I picked up a large wristlet and it was $10, which again I couldn't justify spending. The quality of the clothing is good, don't get me wrong, but the prices really turned me off. I didn't get anything and I didn't spend much time hunting in here once I saw how things were priced. The purpose of thrifting to me is getting something gently used for a great bargain. Great bargains were hard to find here for me. They do offer 50% off for certain tag colors, which was white when I went, but I didn't find one item with this tag. All of the clothing seemed to be tagged in a pink/orange color. One positive of this store is that it's separated by size and there seems to be a good amount of plus sized clothes here. If you're a traditional thriftier, I wouldn't suggest this location. If you don't mind spending $$$ for secondhand clothes, then this is the place for you. read more

PROS: When it comes to clothes it has more than anyone would need. hats, ties, shoes, clothes, belts-- you name it. staff is nice, decent amount of parking CONS: They don't have much more than just clothes. They also have some overpriced books. This store cators to a certain ethnicity. There is the head manager that stares at you as if you are not supposed to be spending your money there. There is also an associate/sup that watches you as well but will ignore you if you need assistance behind the counter. This store needs training and a manager that is concerned about their sales and how her and her team is treating the customers. read more

i came in the store to get a jacket 2 weeks ago, the tag was missing so it was put on hold until the manager decided on a price. They said they would call in a few days with the price. 2 weeks later & i still haven't received a call so naturally i called them. the worker in the store says that the manager is STILL on vacation & doesn't have any time to put a simple price on ONE jacket that doesn't even mean anything to her. I am very upset, i felt as if i'm not being taken seriously. I bet they'd reprice everything real fast if i ripped the tags off every jacket in that section. anyways manager should be fired & so should her informant worker. read more

Found brand new pieces with tags!! Paid $9 for a $34.99 fashionova silk jumpsuit & $4 for a cross back men's bag along with a few other trendy items. They have a ton of jewelry I didn't get a chance to check & they have a large varieties of shoes & handbags. Will definitely be back next month read more

If you are looking for a good bargain in new and almost new clothing, this place is for you. Their selection changes by the minute because they are always bringing more from the back. I never get enough of it. I wish it was closer to my house. The store is clean, MAYBE might need a bit of more organization in terms of sizes but other than that can't complain. Sometimes we go to regular retailers and the same happens so if you come, be ready to dig in and spend a good time in the hunt! But the best of all, enjoy it. read more

I love this store. But I was kind of disappointed when they got two crates of knitting yarn in and the price went up from the usual $1.25 to 4.50-6.50. Way too much and never on sale. I love the other bargains though. Got an older Coach for $8 and everyone wants it. The other $80 handbag that I got for $7 was sold on eBay for $30!!!! read more

PROS: I love this store. I shop there whenever I can. For your information, the reason this "thrift store" may have higher pricing is because a lot of their items are on the higher end! If you want decent clothing in ok condition, head to Salvation Army or Goodwill. If you want good quality clothing at good prices, this is the place for you!! I got a BCBG dress that still had the tags on it (retailed for $180) for $22!! I've purchased other higher end items at similar prices and they're well worth it. I've gotten amazing deals from here, especially during their sales. There's a huge selection of clothing, most are in excellent condition, and the ones that have defects are marked "As Is." They take care to mark items accordingly. CONS: If I had to critique the store, I'd say the clothing/pricing is excellent, but the customer service is minimal. They are friendly, but only helpful when you need it. No greeters or casual "Let me know if you need anything" comments. It's difficult to get help at the jewelry counter when it's busy, I've found myself waiting for 10 minutes at the counter a few times. OVERALL: Overall, I think the experience is worth it, I'm a big consignment/thrift store shopper and find this store to be somewhere in between the pricing, which is awesome because it's as big as a warehouse! Make sure to come when you have plenty of time to shop because there is a lot to see. read more

I went into Inspiration store in Linden. There was a new worker and she added my item twice. They would not add my item back to my credit card,cause they changed to a need system, so I used another debit card. The lady told me to wait three days for it to be credit to my card. I kept going into the store for days. I believe this lady was over the workers when the owner is not in. She responded to me wait until next week. I did that.She ask me to go to the bank and get a print out. i did that. I went in the following week and the owner was there and with a very nasty attitude told me she did not owe me anything. Then she had the nerves with the worst attitude and try and keep my receipt. I realize she did not inform the owner of this. They took my money. I,am told to put them on blast ex special since you have the receipts or take them to court.I don,t inspire no one to go there.I rate them poor. read more

This is, bar-none, my favorite thrift store on the east coast. They're far enough away from the city that their prices aren't affected, the selection is huge, and the staff has always been very kind to me. My only critique is that the clothing organization is pretty haphazard. Things are *sorta* organized by garment type, but the sizing sections aren't well maintained. I don't mind sorting through all the racks to find my size, mostly because I'll buy things that are smaller or bigger than me to upcycle, but if you're going for a specific size, you will need to be prepared to have to go through pretty much everything to find it. I rarely walk out of there without a bag full of stuff. Great clothing in like new and many times new with tags condition. Come prepared to stay a while. It takes time to search through the racks, there's lots of merchandise, and trying on is a must. All sales are final! I took away one star because items are often on the rack in the incorrect size. The employees need to pay better attention to that. It's extremely annoying. read more

Love popping into Inspirations now and again. I've found clothing from higher end stores such as Loft, J. Crew, Zara, etc. with tags still on them. I get compliments on my unique and good quality finds from inspirations. You absolutely need to weed through racks and racks of clothing and may not get a hit each time you visit, but the quality clothes are there and some of them are unworn! read more

DONT GIVE THEM ANY CLOTHES!! If you ever consider donating clothes here, you're better off giving it to the Salvation Army. I donated a bag of stylish clothing, some never worn and still in season. I was given $4.00 for about 30 items which I had to come back and check in about since they never called me. After the price they offered I agreed but my mom refused to sell her clothes for their value. That was the first time . The second time I was never given a call that my clothes have been priced and the money was ready to be picked up. I walked in to ask why I haven't received a call and the manager says they always call or leave messages and they no longer have my clothes or information, so basically they just robbed me for my items and made profit off of something that was never theirs. They are so unprofessional & disorganized in that department. Go there to shop, don't sell them SHIT! They get you for your money anyway. read more

Good big store with good selection. The inventory in men's doesn't turn very often. Much more geared toward women's and women's shoes. A couple of the tm's are really good and nice. Doesn't get 5 stars for 2 reasons 1. Prices on certain things are a bit high 2. Almost all of the employees are polish or Russian and they only speak in another language in front of customers. Ok so they dont go by their advertised times. From the time i was there i can see that items are ebay priced not thrift priced. One employee started throwing items in my direction almost as if throwing them at me. Then tells me we are closing( will say not juat to me but to the everyone else).
