Limited selection and a little over priced, but I still stop by to check inventory every so often

It is a beautiful small shop that make a big impression with it's decor, merchandise, and very friendly owner Donna Del Guercio. Knitters and crocheters you will not be disappointed. BYR&I has a nice selection of yarn that differs from Knit-A-Bit in Westfield, and Ewe in Clark. Lots of gorgeous yarn in an array of colors, textures, and price points. BYR&I also holds various classes. You can pick up a schedule at the store. Friday Night Knitting Club is help from 6pm - 8pm. Make sure you introduce yourself to the owner. She is warm, kind, and helpful. She also has a passion for her business and being part of the Cranford community.

Teeny lil' store that was exclusively knitting related up until recently, as per the owner. Now it's more of a clothing and jewelry boutique. I was able to find what I wanted at a very good price but the selection of yarn in store may not be enough for me to shop there regularly. I didn't peruse the clothing much, but I did see a few jewelry pieces I'm intrigued by. Donna was very friendly upon seeing a new face, and showed me the current crochet piece she was working on and chit chatted about yarns and what not. Good visit overall, and if I find myself in Cranford again I may go back to pick up some bling.

Just wanted to come on here and write a review on how dishonest is this company Is. They talk about…read morehow their company takes pride and integrity in their service. Let me tell you. They lied to me. On June 21st I accidentally sent this company a Zelle. Lucky they responded to my email. They mention that it was fraud that I was trying to do. After so many attempts my bank contact them. This company told me that they would grant the Zelle payment back. They Lied!!!! They said they reversed the payment back to me July 3rd. I checked both of my accounts and nothing was sent. I contact them back and the said for me to stop harassing them as the payment already left their account. I called both my bank again and verified and nothing was sent. The company sent me a so called snip of the reversed payment with the same confirmation number that was given to me when I accidentally sent the money. I know this was totally 100% my fault. But how they stated to me that their company has integrity THEY HAVE NONE.They are dishonest and thieves. I work hard for my money. I explained to them multiple times that it was an accident and yet they still didn't send me my money back even after my bank contact them. I'm very sad that this company are Liars! Karma is real and I hope it gets you guys for being such Liars!! I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau as they are Thieves!!

For the Amber Feather, they do NOT accept any clothes. The owner searches for clothes herself and…read moredoes not accept donations. I talked a little bit with her, and from what she said, the store is not for people who wear petite or small. It's for women who wear medium or large clothing. The fashion is for older women rather than younger women. The aesthetics of the clothing match bigger, flowery patterns like a table cloth. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are a teen or young adult, but it is for older women who wear mediums or larges. That being said, I would recommend 2nd Ave Thrift store in Union (very cheap and fashionable) or Anthem off North Union Avenue (for fashion and in-style clothing) for those younger and smaller women looking to go thrifting.

I would really have loved to give a great review. I'm a big vintage/consignment shopper and I was…read morereally disappointed today. I went out of my way to Cranford to check out this store (in celebration of National Thrift Day-- today). I passsed by around 4:30-ish pm and there was a notice on the door saying the shopkeeper would be back at 5. The notice said: "Stepped out to Laundromat and Post Office. Return 5 pm." It doesn't make sense to me to go do laundry during business hours? Shouldn't errands like that be done during the lunch hour if anything? But it didn't bother me at first I just walked around and came back at 5. And waited. And waited. I waited 1 hour for the shopkeeper to come back (until 6pm) and still no sign of the person coming back. After a while it was kind of hot to wait outside and I felt really weird standing outside for so long so I stepped into a café and watched from the seat. By the time it was 6, I couldn't even check out the vintage shops in other neighboring towns I was hoping to. All in all a disappointing day. It was just kind of unprofessional and disrespectful of customers' time and energy. In total I came, spent 90 minutes, energy, gas, parking money, etc etc just to come see this one store and waited outside the store for a significant amount of time kind of looking like an idiot...not a great impression. I was really patient waiting an hour and a half and I just don't want other customers to go through that. To be clear stuff happens and so I don't take it personally but it was just unfortunate. If I'm in the area again I'd still love to still swing by and try giving it another go.
