He totally owned up to his mistake and for me that speaks volumes about a person. The actual inspection was pretty good as far as I can tell, I'm not an expert on these kinds of things but the report was very detailed and had a lot of photos. He flew a drone up to the roof to take a look and even pointed out minor details like staining on the carpet that I honestly didn't catch when I saw the property myself. Seems like he used infrared to check for water leaks when inspecting the plumbing in the bathrooms and kitchen. In terms of pricing, he was one of the more expensive options but given the level of customer service he provided and the quality of the report I would say it's worth it. Overall, the experience with Elias was very positive and if I ever need inspection services again, he'll be the first I call.

We retained them for a home inspection in the Brentwood hills that is in a fire zone. We have had a very difficult time getting insurance carries to insure the home for fire. We have had insurance cancelled and some companies will not even consider this wonderful home. We called and Jeffrey Clark, from Trident, came out on time and on the date promised. Trident is great and we have such respect for Mr. Clark. Wildfires have become an ever-increasing destructive problem in the Brentwood hills area due to the ongoing drought and other environmental issues. We called Trident for help. Trident Inspection Group is a team of certified and thoroughly trained professionals ready to provide home inspections for your home, for insurance purposes or if you are a potential buyer. Jeffrey took his time looking at major and minor parts of the property to ensure that we had an in-depth report. Jeffery is, among other things, an expert at home fire hardening and defensible space inspection. We had our report in a speedy manner, which was so useful, actually, something that will assist us in getting fire insurance. It laid out issues, how to address them and how to mitigate any issues before we even contact another insurance carrier. We also were given ideas of cost of what was needed. Sadly, we had to remove a huge tree that was just too close to the house and do other items, well, all of them, on Jeffrey's report. Jeffrey is so thorough and easy to work with, you will love him. He doesn't shy away from doing the hard stuff, like going on rooftops or crawling under very tight crawlspaces. At the end of the inspection, he took the time to go over everything he inspected, explaining what needed minor repairs and what should be updated to better protect and safeguard my mother's property. Kevin also let me know that he would be sending detailed documents with all the photos he took during the inspection, which was very reassuring and helpful. Good communication and quick scheduling. I was able to have a technician come out the same day I called to schedule. The technician was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions while he was concentrating on the testing, set up etc. He was careful with his words meaning he didn't cause any unnecessary stress or anxiety. He wasn't pushy and was conscious of the cost while also recommending what samples are needed or suggested. He was clean and careful. Cons: Expensive compared to other mold testing companies. The invoice can quickly add up. I originally planned for about $800 ($500 base fee plus $75 for 4 samples). I added on asbestos test and that brought my bill to over $1300. In some ways I see this as a positive though because you get what you pay for (I hope and can't compare to any other company). My whole house wasn't moisture mapped as I was told it would be. The tech said they only focus on the reported areas of concern. Not a big deal but would've been nice to know. I kept getting rescheduled by 15 minutes. The tech was running late then running early so that was a little confusing. I jokingly asked them if I get compensation for the changed appt time since I signed the contract already (they charge $150 for any changes). They said no. The report is a bit confusing as it was the first time. The most annoying is that in the asbestos report they suggested further testing. Likely costing another $1000 or more. I thought I was already paying for the best testing. This feels a bit like a trick in some ways. Overall I'd go to JLM again. I suggest to do some research beforehand though to know exactly what you need done (AND WHY meaning are you renovating or just wanting to know for health reasons etc) so you don't get unneeded tests or costs.

I made the mistake of trusting mine when she recommended them for my condo inspection... lesson learned. The water heater didn't even work, yet somehow the inspector missed it--so I spent my first three weeks bonding with cold showers. The warranty company wouldn't cover it since the issue existed before I moved in. On top of that, I had to replace both toilets right away. Somehow they missed that too. Of course, when I contacted them, they denied any responsibility and took zero accountability for their mistakes. All in all, I would definitely not recommend them, especially if they're being suggested by your real estate agent.
