Nowhere in the…read moreadvertisement does it say one free cookie per person, per app. This is where their customer service failed. I was there with my kids, but because only one person in our group had the app, I was only allowed to redeem one free cookie. I also purchased three of their thin chocolate chip cookies. They're so thin that two of them are basically the thickness of one cookie. When I questioned the promotion, every employee simply said, "It comes from our higher-ups." That wasn't a helpful explanation. I then asked for my receipt and the employee told me he couldn't give me one. I asked if they could at least add the rewards points to my account, but I was told it was "too late." They handed me all of the cookies in individual bags. I asked for a bag or a box to carry everything and she said I would have to purchase one for $0.49. I agreed, but then she told me I would have to get back in line to buy it. After already waiting in line once, being told to wait all over again for a simple bag/box was ridiculous. When I got home, all of the cookies had stuck together in the bags, making them difficult to separate without breaking them. Overall, the customer service was disappointing from start to finish. Between the confusing promotion, the lack of flexibility, being unable to get a receipt or rewards points, and the poor packaging, this experience gave me no reason to return.

This particular place serves up an incredibly delicious ice cream. Treat with so many flavor choices, and things to mix in or add that the possibilities are just limitless. It took two visits for me to try more than one item. During my first visit I only ordered the ham and cheese cone which contained the standard ham and cheese while the cone was not really toasted. We decided to give a second chance and ordered their caprese cone and trio of their dessert options . This time the cone came warm and toasted, making it a lot more tastier. For dessert we ordered dulce de leche, Nutella, and guava with cheese. The cones were dusted with cinnamon sugar and were excellent, with my personal favorite being the guava. I really like the concept here I hope to see it grow to other locations.

Instead, when I inquired through the website in the afternoon about how I could get some brownies because I didn't live near FIU, one of the owners went out of their way and delivered my order to my place of work in Doral. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Rubio! I ordered through the website for myself, my boyfriend, and several coworkers. The order consisted of 6 brownies: 2 Oreo White Chocolate, 1 Oreo Chocolate, and 3 Dark Chocolate Traditional. These brownies were HUGE. For the price, I think it was pretty fair, about $3.25 each; the only thing is you need to order at least 4 for them to deliver. And there's no brick-and-mortar place just yet, at least not to my knowledge, so delivery is the only option. My favorite had to be the Oreo White Cookie. It was more ooey gooey than the traditional, and I loved the little browning of the icing on it. The traditional were more solid than ooey, but if you're looking for a little less sugar, they're the way to go. So you know, the icing on these brownies doesn't cover the whole thing, it's a squiggle across the bar. I liked it because it was less overwhelming that way. The only thing that I found lacking was the fact that I didn't have a glass of milk or cafe con leche to enjoy with these brownies. Now I know what to prepare for the next time I order from Rubio's. The brownies, the service, and everything about the transaction was above average. I highly recommend them! :D
