This was a spur-of-the-moment choice, and it wasn't too shabby. $18 for four cookies is a little pricey, but I did go for the deluxe box so part of that is on me. The choices were pretty varied, so you're pretty likely to see a flavor you want. We took ours to go, and they travel well. Now, the cookies are pretty good. The s'mores cookie was good, a definite winner. The salted caramel cookies were also good; the big problem with that though is that I've had salted caramel cookies about the same quality (smaller though) at 7-Eleven. Hard to justify the price. However, this visit was not a dud, and when I'm in the area I'll probably come back. Plus Trey gave my friend and I super great service (and if I'm being honest, pretty good looking but that's neither here nor there). His energy and service moved this review from 3 stars to 4. Honestly it's a shame that this place can't seem to function because the cookies themselves are great when they're fully baked and you get the correct order. But that's assuming that you actually get your order. Mine was supposed to be delivered over an hour and an half ago, after my delivery driver contacted me to let me know that the bakery was running behind, and now the bakery is closed. Despite my phone number being on the order, there has been an insane lack of communication. No one has called to tell me that they couldn't complete the order. No one gave me the opportunity to go pick them up instead. Nothing. Just a still pending order that says "waiting for driver". I have no idea if I'm supposed to be getting a refund for the near $40 I spent. The person that originally texted me to tell me that there would be a "twenty minute delay" is ghosting. A great dessert treat in the heart of the South Side! If you're ever craving a warm cookie or some delicious ice cream, this is the place to go. The ice cream flavors are great--the cookie dough ice cream has some pretty sizable chunks of tasty cookie dough with a really rich vanilla base as well. The sour patch cookie was also a surprising treat! It was sour as expected but also a sweet and sugary delight. The interior is very small, and if there's a group inside already, you might not be able to even wait in line inside. 3.5 stars. Decided to give this place a shot. The building is in the heart of South side right by the corner of South 18th. I grew up in the area, so I'm familiar with the traffic and surrounding crowds that frequent the area, including people like the two men who got into a shouting match (almost fist fight) right outside the building. The space inside is quite small, so they can only fit a small number of patrons in at a time. With a few stools inside for seating. The wall paint was bright and the menu board was digital and easy to read. They offer complimentary items like milk and ice cream to go with the cookies. We ordered a few different cookies to sample a variety. We also wanted 12 mini chocolate chip cookies, but they ran out, so they gave us 6 red velvet and 6 chocolate chip. Some cookies were served slightly warm, but not quite, and some were room temperature --but they all were soft and chewy. The cookies were served in a container similar to a pizza box. The cookies were sweet and easy to chew, but above all, we preferred the classic chocolate chip cookie against the others. This was my first time at this location. I have had insomnia cookies before though. I kept seeing ads for the seasonal spicy hot cocoa cookie and it was so tempting. I was in the area anyway so stopped in. This location is small. It's also hard to spot unless you are looking just for it. It's not much to look at and there really isn't places to sit. As far as the location it is nowhere near as nice as the other location I have been to. It smells so good as soon as you walk in though. The aroma definitely gets you. Service was fine. I ordered the cookie I wanted and took it to go. The spicy hot cocoa cookie is a rich chocolate cookie and has ancho and chipotle in it, as well as sea salt on top. The combination is delicious. At first you get the rich chocolate with a touch of salt and then the heat creeps in at the end. It is well balanced. You get just a hint of the warmth from the chilis. My girlfriend was craving something for desert, so I sent her a Cookie with a Scoop to our apartment! The most noteworthy part of this experience was the speed of the delivery. Yelp said that it should arrive to the apartment in about 30-40 minutes from when I ordered it, and the food got there in literally 15 minutes! After being a big fan of the location in state college I had to make a trip here. Just to state there is not parking lot for this location but there is street parking with a pay meter surrounding the area. The storefront seems a bit sketchy and it is tiny on the inside so there's not much room to sit down. The staff where friendly and greeted me on entering. I ordered some cookies and boom just like that I was brought back like I was at the state college location snacking on some cookies late at night. This place is great and the cookies are damn good! I'm very happy this establishment has made its way to Pittsburgh and offers late night delivery. Stopped in today to check it out. I ended up getting a snickernoodle cookie & chocolate milk. Regular cookies are under $2 & seem fresh but most likely not homemade in this store. They also have ice cream, brownies & you can get cookie sandwiches (im assuming made to order?) Not much seating inside but there is delivery. Local milk & chocolate milk (Turners!) Staff were helpful & friendly. Shop isnt well lit from the storefront & initally i thought the 'open' sign was an error. Im guessing the dim outdoor lighting goes along with their insomnia theme.
