I was searching for a delivery service for my elderly mother, as I am in Los Angeles and worry about her eating properly & having enough groceries. I came across this business & was impressed by the variety of items & stores covered and saw the many great reviews it had received. I talked to Lisa before placing the delivery because I had concerns about items being left outside of my mothers building or my mother, who is in a delicate state, having to carry heavy groceries to her apartment. Lisa assured me that she would not only bring them to her apartment, but help put them away! Wait, what? She not only delivered on that promise, but took a selfie with mom before she left, which made me all warm & fuzzy. Lisa goes above & beyond for her customers and loves what she does. Her service really gives me peace of mind, as my mother has been ripped off before by businesses that don't even so much as bring every item that was ordered & paid for. Thank you, Lisa, for all that you do. I will definitely be utilizing your service again. read more

I work for a company in downtown Pittsburgh and we couldn't be more thrilled with this service. Each week, Lisa brings us a big load of groceries for the office from Sam's Club and Giant Eagle. We frequently have parties and happy hours in our office and we need big quantities od foods and beverages. Lisa goes above and beyond to make sure we are able to get what we need for every event, in a very timely manner. We have asked Lisa for many special requests and she is always willing to go the extra mile to serve us. She is very responsive and a friendly, genuine professional. I love this service!! I highly recommend! read more

Wow, a last-minute gift that got executed in style! I was searching for online grocery delivery in Pitt, and stumbled across Lisa's business. It's always a risk, trusting faceless internet sites...but how lucky I was. Lisa was exceptionally responsive and exceedingly helpful. I phone ordered a grocery "gift basket" for a good friend in Pittsburgh's birthday. Not only did she make the process fast, seamless and pleasant - my friend just loved the present, which arrived at her door in Lawrenceville on Saturday morning. I would highly recommend this service!! read more

I was searching for a way to send a specialty sandwich tray from Giant Eagle to a friend who just lost a loved one. Surprisingly, I could not find any way to do this...until I found Best Grocery Delivery. Their website did not show this item, so I emailed them asking if it would be possible. I worked with Lisa to schedule this and it could not have been easier! I will probably try them out for regular grocery delivery in the future as well. But I am grateful to them for helping with this special case. read more

Easily the best part of breaking my foot was discovering this service. I'm able to keep up not only eating, but doing so healthily with the Ezekiel bread and proteins. Plus, since one of the stores I can order products from is Sam's Club, bulk fresh fruits and veggie trays have been a lifesaver. And most importantly, if I asked a friend or relative to shop at three different stores for very specific items for the 4 to 6 weeks before I can drive again, I probably wouldn't have a lot of calls returned at the end of it. Lisa does all the amazing above, with a smile. Using and loving Best Grocery Delivery now. Can't wait for the next excuse to use it again. read more

Lisa is absolutely the best! Our family (25 people) rented a house in Donegal for a family reunion and although Lisa does not normally deliver there, she made an exception for us. She delivered everything correctly and on time. She is responsive, professional, and very sweet. We are so lucky to have found her! I recommend her 100%! read more

Best grocery delivery service I've ever used. Lisa is amazing and makes everything so much easier! I would 10/10 recommend to anyone needing a grocery delivery service. Thank you Lisa! read more

Groceries are a bit expensive on the whole (1-3 dollar mark-up more on items than what I'm used to, and I tend to shop at Whole Foods), but I suppose that's what you pay when someone else is shopping for you. The website is pretty clear (missing some pictures), but altogether lots of options. The lady was friendly on the phone. For next day gifts and groceries when you can't do the shopping, not a bad deal. :) read more

Can't say enough how thrilled I am to have found Lisa and her service. My 89 year old mom lives alone and can't always get to the store, so will often run low on groceries. Living in another state, I am often frustrated about how I can help her. Enter Lisa, ta dah!! Not only did Lisa bring the groceries into the house for my mom, but offered to put them away for her!! Then followed up with a nice note to me to say 'mission accomplished'. I am so grateful Lisa - not only that your business exists but also for who you are as a person. Many thanks. I will be a repeat customer for sure and will spread the word! read more

Not a positive experience at all. I found the owner, Lisa, to be unfriendly and unprofessional. Not only were my groceries delivered later than expected, but they were also poorly bagged (perhaps because she was running late?) and some of my items were damaged as a result. When I contacted the owner, she did not apologize nor did she offer to refund or replace the damaged items. I was simply told I'd have to place another order. Needless to say, I declined and decided to go elsewhere. read more

With Giant Eagle, Shipt and Instacart now delivering to the Pittsburgh area, choosing Best Grocery Delivery Pittsburgh would be both unnecessary and unwise. * If you want same day-shipping, forget it. Best Grocery Delivery does not offer it nor do they work on weekends. If you want variety or a wide selection of items to choose from, forget that too. * Some categories have only one or two overpriced items. They do offer a limited amount of items from both Giant Eagle and Sam's Club. A very limited amount. Giant Eagle has their own delivery service now and you can shop Sam's Club's wide selection through Instacart. * This might not be a huge deal to some, but I find their website to be dated and frustrating to navigate. There's also no app and limited payment options. No support for mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. * If you'd rather not pay twice as much as you would for the same item at other stores like Target, Giant Eagle or Shop N Save, then you should look elsewhere. Oh and Best Grocery Delivery Pittsburgh will charge you a convenient $30 fee if your order exceeds $200 - which is not hard to do with their inflated prices. Then add driver tip... Having my groceries delivered should not be an inconvenience. Best Grocery Delivery Pittsburgh is neither convenient nor economical and I do not recommend their service. We're fortunate to have far better options now for grocery delivery, why limit yourself - and why pay a premium for a subpar service, read more

Lisa is a life saver in these difficult times. I have been a customer for almost a year and the service she provides is fantastic. Highly recommend! read more

Talk about an angel? Lisa was a wonder to work with. I called from Florida to order groceries for a homebound friend in Pittsburgh. I am about as computer backward as they come. I've never ordered anything online before. She walked me through the entire process from start to finish. Patient is an understatement. I can't say enough positive things about the entire experience. Lisa, you're a Godsend! Thank you so much!!! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Lisa is awesome! I just got out of the hospital and was stuck. Since I live alone getting groceries was a challenge. I just came across Lisa's site and thought I'd give it a try. She was on target! Not only was she friendly and professional, she brought my groceries right to my kitchen! I do not think it's anymore expensive than getting into my car and doing shopping for myself. If anything I save money because I see the total add up everytime I put something in my cart. As someone who has a chronic illness and is disabled...I just found the answer to one of my biggest problems!! Thank you, Lisa!! I'm spreading the word!! read more

Really, if I could give this lady 10 stars, I would. It's been a rough week. I've been sick with the plague. Okay, the common cold. But it's sixteen degrees outside and it feels like the plague. Having just moved back from out West, I haven't quite mastered the skill of driving in the snow. A couple of you have probably seen me on the news this winter. I'm that schmuck who gets stuck every time it snows who you make fun of. It's been snowing a lot. I was going to be screwed for groceries. I had no food in the house for the weekend. Literally, I had ages old Oscar Meyer Bologna meat and spoiled milk. Whatever, I'm a usually active single gal who goes out to eat. Don't judge. Anyways, I was desperate. So, after hearing about this kind of service and swearing to myself that i would never be lazy enough to call for a grocery delivery, I called for a grocery delivery. Yesterday. As in, not even twenty four hours ago. I went to work today for the first time all week. Lisa texts me--- do you mind if I'm early? Mind if she's early? I love her already. i come home to find out that my dog has decided that it's a really good time to also be sick. Let's just say it was gross. Then Lisa arrives. Friendly, smile on her face. Doesn't judge me for the state of my house. Apologizes for getting me the light Yoplait Yogurt instead of the regular kind. Are you kidding? I kind of wanted to give her a big hug for making my entire week, but my brother had already been making fun of me for having my groceries delivered. Until after LIsa left. Then he turns to me and goes, "this is kind of a cool idea." I'd like to nominate Lisa for Sainthood. Or at least, she should be recognized on the news. Instead of me, for being unable to drive in the snow. I might seriously use this service from now on. This is ten times better than running into students in the personal hygiene aisle at Giant Eagle. read more

Such a fantastic company run by some great people. They do a great job pairing convenience with exceptional service.

This service was great - not sure what I would have done without it and no grocery nearby! Lisa was incredibly responsive, helpful, and nice. I'll be using her service for all my grocery shopping while I'm living downtown. Highly recommend! read more

This was an exceptional choice that I happened to find! I live 6 hours away, but wanted to have something that my daughter at Pitt would really like, with a personal touch, delivered to her for her birthday. The company owner answered my email immediately and did everything possible to make my food and flower choices into a lovely birthday basket for her. It was delivered as scheduled and with great care. She even sent me a pic of my daughter receiving her birthday goodies. Talk about service! Best Grocery Delivery will definitely be my go-to for any future delivery needs in the P'burgh area. read more

I highly recommend the extraordinary Best Grocery Delivery!!! Our son is busy attending a year-round school in the Pittsburgh area and doesn't always have time for grocery shopping. Living out-of-state and wanting to help him, I searched online for options. After reading all the glowing reviews for Lisa and her delivery business, I decided to give it a try and see how it turned out. I shopped the order on her easy-to-use website, picked an available delivery time window, and the order was delivered on time right to his apartment door. Talk about service! He even called his dear 'ole Mom to say the order arrived in perfect condition, was delivered by Lisa personally, and that she couldn't have been nicer to him! To a Mom living in another state, that is incredible peace of mind. I even emailed with a question the night before delivery and Lisa replied back right away. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing service! Our son still has 2 more years of school, so I'm sure I'll be using Best Grocery Delivery many more times to come!! read more

Lisa is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I had groceries delivered to my grandma since I live out of state and can't shop for her myself. She was so helpful, friendly, professional, and texted me after they were delivered. I'm so glad to have found Lisa and Best Grocery Delivery, I will be using this service from now on! Thank you so much for what you do!!!! read more

I placed an order for a "care package" to be sent to my daughter at school. Not only did it arrive late, but it didn't include half of the items listed on the website. When I brought this up with the business owner Lisa, she was not only very rude but refused to come to any compromise. Extremely unpleasant experience. I will NEVER use this service again. read more

I have not words to describe how great has been to discover this company, we are from Fl and our son is studying at CMU, we needed to send him some groceries to his apartment, he is on an special diet and as a mother I was super concerned, Lisa was extra helpful accommodating our needs and even adding the products that we needed to the website for us to buy, she is ultra professional, walking the extra mile for her customers, no words to describe how grateful and pleased I am to have this chance to use her services.I Highly recommend Lisa if you have your kids at college and need to send them groceries or to anyone that needs a reliable, decent, professional, grocery delivery service that goes far and beyond for customers. Thank you Lisa! read more

BEWARE!!!! - BEWARE!!!! - BEWARE!!!! - BEWARE!!!! EVERYONE Should Read the fine print on this service before using! Lisa claims "We offer a service like no other national chain does." Eek! Methinks not! - Many national chains offer FREE grocery delivery services if you spend a certain amount of money. (I.E. Safeway will deliver for FREE with just a promo code, GIANT EAGLE will delivery a great deal of there foods for cheaper than these prices - http://gianteagle.elsstore.com/ ) Excerpt from the FAQ section: http://www.bestgrocerydelivery.net/FAQs_ep_45.html "3. How much does it cost to have an order delivered? --Next Day Delivery is $11.99 for any order under $200.00. --Same day delivery is $20.00. If you choose same day delivery, an additional $8.50 will be added to your order. ($28.50??????? Cab ride would be cheaper) --You will see a separate charge on your credit card statement. (WTF to that!) --Any order over $200.00, your delivery fee will be 15% of the order." (Cause everyone likes paying a fee on large orders) On top of this fact, they won't even honor coupons at the stores. The excuse I was given for why the prices of the groceries are SO HIGH, was this "Gas, employee wages, our time. Software costs." (I still have the email if anyone wants to verify) Maybe it's just me, but when I buy something online, and get free shipping to my door, from....CHINA, or who knows where... they don't seem to have the same excuses. read more

I would like to say I see all these reviews and I can't help but wonder whether they are authentic or am I the only client that gets treated like this. I had this delivery three times and lived to regret all three. I have to admit she substitutes items pretty well but the whole pay for delivery is supposed to be free and its never the case with me. All I know is that I shopped 70.00 worth and wound up paying 150.00 and it was food I saw tax charges on food, not warm food but food items. I have used the service two times already and it's not the same amount but now its the tip and the delivery charges. I read on the website that it is free delivery and it is not and it's ok to charge to get out of your way and come to a person's house to deliver food. People on limited income such as myself can do other companies that deliver for 14.99 a month and that's it no tip no taxes on food. The lady that delivered here was not rude or anything like that just pricey. read more

Lisa the owner took my call. I explained that my elderly father was not feeling well and was running out of groceries (and that I live across the state) Lisa immediately said she would help even though I was well past the order time limit on their website. I ordered the groceries I wanted online, paid via Paypal and called Lisa back. She shopped and delivered the groceries within 2 hours and even sent me a text message confirming the delivery. I will definitely use Best Grocery Delivery again in the future! read more

WOW. I just had an awesome experience with this service! My mom is recovering from an illness and needed some groceries delivered ASAP. I live hundreds of miles away. I placed an order for her at 11:30 pm and got a text at 8:39 am the next morning saying they had been delivered. That is service, totally worth the upcharge. I was even able to pay by Paypal! I've been looking for a grocery home delivery service in Pittsburgh for years. Thanks for providing this much needed service!! read more

I have been working with this delivery service for two years, I have consistently had superior service; very kind, very prompt, and never mistakes in the products. Lisa has made the special effort to deliver my son's groceries with one day notice, bring him an Easter basket last year that SHE put together, and just recently got him a birthday cake with two hours notice. There is no company more trustworthy and deserving of repeat business. read more
