I go to try their fish sandwich, French toast, Syrian toast, Shankleesh, and bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Everything was great, but most items were pretty simple. Bacon egg and cheese came in a solid portion for the price, and although the bacon was somewhat limp, it was still pretty tasty. The fish sandwich came with 2 fish Pattie's which were well coated but not that flavorful. No dipping sauce sadly, and the bread was just standard. But again great portion. The French toast was an amazing deal. So, so many pieces and a big side of syrup. High quality for the price too. That was super good. The Syrian toast I thought was interesting but not really my thing, as it seemed to be buttered up decently and was a tad stale. But, the Shankleesh (this sort of spicy cheese) was very cool, small cup but super flavorful and salty. All in all, very nice historic place. Good relaxed vibe and a nice menu with good portions and prices.

It almost feels like you discovered something you weren't supposed to find. The menu is just as random as the location -- sandwiches, tacos, salads, and small plates. It sounds chaotic... but somehow it works. But at botL, the cacio e pepe is king. Yes, that cacio e pepe. The infamous Roman dish with so few ingredients that it has no right delivering this much flavor. It's simple food that exposes bad technique instantly... and botL absolutely nails it. They don't mess around either, even incorporating the hollowed-out cheese wheel. Sure, it might look a little showy... but when it tastes this good, who cares? I added the blackened shrimp and it was cooked to perfection. Perfect seasoning, perfect texture, perfect addition. Sometimes the best meals come from the most unexpected places... and botL fits that bill perfectly.

Maizy, Lydia, attention to our service, Simone (chef) and Tom greeted us with smiles and welcomes! I never choose for anyone but said I'm ordering our entrees! Cacio de pepe with filet tips atop. Wedge salad, wedding soup, and stemmed glass martinis and cabernet with dinner! Oh, brûlée cheesecake with a birthday candle was perfect ending! We arrived later than planned and happily closed the place down. We never felt rushed to go!!! That's an exceptional quality! I love it here and so did they! Resers best especially during prime time and days, but the bar is fun too! Some side parking and neighborhood street parking! You can thank me later!

We came across Patsy's and after reading the reviews on Yelp we were sold. When we arrived the owner met us at the back of the store in the deli section and proudly reviewed the menu with us and discussed our tastes. We wanted to measure Pittsburgh against the delis we've visited in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco so we decided on the Italian Hoagie as a familiar item. Patsy's OVER DELIVERED! The owner gave us his reasoning for each ingredient and why he uses the vendors he does while making the sandwich. It was fun to learn the history of where everything came from and why he sourced those particular items. When we arrived home and opened up the wrapping the bread and ingredients smelled just as fresh as the deli itself. The meats were fresh and each had a distinct flavor, the vegetables were crisp, and the bread was everything you hope for from an Italian deli. If we lived in the area Patsy's would be a regular stop for us! Thank you so much for your kindness!

Handwritten signs direct you to where you order and the staff is so pleasant to make you the best deli sandwich that you can dream up. Waiting for the fresh sliced meat doesn't feel like a wait at all.. as you can look around and peruse their Oakmont decor. Hanging old letterman jackets, propping up photos like the mantle is in your living room.. you can feel the hometown and the warm family environment. I ordered the Bertha's Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Hot Sauce. They loaded the wrap with plenty of chicken and the fresh pops of cucumber were such a pleasant relief from the buffalo sauce. Unwrapping my lunch and finding the classic deli pickle was all a lovely throwback. After your order is ready, they call your number up to the counter and take payment... and that's when I spotted the Deli Brownie. Wrapped in Saran Wrap and unassumingly marked $2, I knew these bad boys were most likely scratchmade today like a school bake sale. The brownie was soft and rich with chocolate goodness. The perfect compliment to a delicious quick meal. Pop in to Oakmont Deli - you'll be satisfied!

The employee's service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the Reggie Veggie wrap (4 stars), which contained spring mix, tomato, red onion, cucumbers, peppers, and dressing. The wrap got soggy, and the dressing was strong, so I recommend that less dressing be used. My husband ordered the Chrissy Club (4 stars), which contained turkey, ham, American cheese, bacon bits, spring mix, mayonnaise, and no tomato at his request. The bread got soggy, so he ate only the meat. For sides, we got the potato salad (5 stars) and the macaroni salad (4.5 stars). The total price was about $25.
