I really wanted to try what it's like so I finally stopped by and I had to use restroom first. That's when all my appetite disappeared. The restroom was SO NASTY made me question about the owner. Super friendly staff Cons: $1.60 for a regular size cookie, more for a deluxe (!!!!) Insomnia cookies are absolutely delicious. The cookies are moist and flavorful. The deluxe peanut butter cookie is my absolute favorite -a big PB cookie topped with huge chunks of Reece's PB cups. My second favorite is the s'mores -a moist chocolate cookie topped with warm gooey mallow. They're both truly divine. I knocked off a few stars for the following reasons: First, the prices are very high. Like, there's a little steep -and then there's $3/each for the above-mentioned cookies. The small regular cookies are $1.50/each. Second, staff are friendly, but they are consistently out of flavors -at least 75% of the time. Because of the price, I rarely buy these treats -as delicious as they may be. The past 3 times (in a row) I've had massive cravings stronger than my aversion to the price, they've been out of the cookies I want. The staff have offered to bake them, but waiting 15-20 minutes is not happening. This is unfortunately very common with other flavors as well. I likely won't return anytime soon, I literally have left the establishment empty handed every single time this year because preferred cookies were not available. read more

I'm not a fan of Crumbl Cookies because the cookies taste artificial and have a layer of frosting thicker than the cookie (and the price), and these taste so homeade and flavorful and rich. This was my third time ever at an Insomnia Cookies, and probably my last. After paying big bucks for over-baked cookies, I left disappointed. Like most customers, I visited with a craving for warm, soft-baked cookies fresh out of the oven. However, one look at the prices instantly destroyed my craving. $1.60 for one cookie is crazy expensive in my opinion. Even worse, deluxe cookies (slightly larger than the traditional cookies and with more toppings) are $3.20 each. Uh, no thanks. We shelled out almost 10 bucks for 6 cookies. It's a major rip off, but I kept thinking, these cookies will be so good. Wrong. Though they were warm, they were brown around the edges and not as soft as I'd prefer. I can make better cookies from scratch for a fraction of the cost. My recommendation for you if you're craving fresh baked cookies: call your local Subway and ask when they're making a new batch. Three cookies from Subway cost about as much as one cookie here, and they taste just as good if not better. Do not buy into the hype of Insomnia Cookies. They are extremely overrated. But if you're still interested (how?), here's some helpful information: With 12 different cookie flavors, there's something for everyone. My wife and I had a sweet tooth one night and found that Insomnia has vegan cookies. They tasted fresh baked. Double chocolate, chocolate chip, chocolate chunk, sugar cookies! Needless to say I ate more than I wanted or needed. That was a delivery. I went to the actual store a week or so later to pickup a few more and found they had vegan ice cream too. Specifically birthday cake ice cream. I swear a tear dropped from my left eye right after they gave me a sample taste. I have to compare this Insomnia Cookies to "my" IC back in Ann Arbor. It's just a little drab. The restaurant space is too small, and therefore it doesn't have the fun vibe that a cookie-exclusive shop should have. Also, I believe prices have gone up in recent years. Therefore, Insomnia Cookies has lost a bit of its nostalgia for me. I remember the college days of going in at two in the morning with five dollars, and walking out with three melty chocolate cookies. Those were the days. That being said, Insomnia Cookies is the only chain store I can think of that has cookies worth mentioning. They're a perfect mix between home style and commercial. They taste like they COULD be homemade, but have the consistency and quality of a restaurant desert menu. They're great for a novel occasion. I was greeted and asked to wait until she was done counting the drawer. I came in at 5:20pm, why the drawer had to be counted at this time, I have no idea. From traditional flavors to deluxe (even the size changes), ice cream sandwiches, and cookie cakes, there's so much to choose from - and yes, they've got a few different mix and match options (even for your ice cream sandwich!). I have to say... This is the GREATEST thing I've ever discovered, for multiple reasons. One: being I myself like every other person on the face of the earth... I LOVE COOKIES. And Two: they're open late at night! When I get my biggest craving for them! Three: they're close by to campus for my fellow college kids and I. Finally Four: THEY DELIVER! Late even. (Hence the name) Not to mention the staff is not just helpful.(not that anyone has a real hard time picking a cookie) when I'm doubt get one of each. But the fact that these guys keep it real. I don't feel like I'm talking to some drone that's rehearsed the same boring lines over and over. You can seriously shoot the breeze with these guys. I'll admit that that's one reason I've gone in there the past 3 days straight. And I won't be surprised if I go tomorrow. Now if you're shy and might get offended at little puns and jokes that might push the boundaries of the typical staff to customer jokes. This might not be the place for you to sit and chat long. Stopped in with a friend around 11:00 the other night after seeing a show at Miller. We just wanted to stop in somewhere for a chat, but didn't feel like going out to a bar or restaurant. Insomnia cookies was a perfect choice. We were the only ones in there, so when we walked in the door the staff was immediately attentive and friendly. They went over the wide selection of cookies with us and every one of them sounded delicious, so it was a tough a choice. We ordered a S'mores cookie and one that involved peanut butter of some kind and split them. Given the time of night and the fact that they didn't seem very busy, I thought that the cookies might have been sitting for awhile, but they were warm and soft and still tasted very fresh, which was wonderful. DO NOT..and I repeat..DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE! They used to be so good. Always had great experiences during the Fall. But oh my god. After waiting 3 HOURS for my order tonight, I'm deeply upset and saddened. First off, my tracker NEVER UPDATED! So I never even knew when the order left the store. An hour after placing my order (placed around 9:40 PM) I look at the tracker and see that there was an issue and I had to call. So I called and they said they got the wrong phone number. I put an 8 in place of a 5 by accident so I didn't get upset. Mistakes happen and I totally took fault for that. The second time I was waiting in the lobby of my res hall and saw the car pull up. But the driver never walked to the door OR called me. So I call again and the manager told me that the driver said they called me but they never did. At this point I was upset because 1. Obviously the driver never called me and 2. I SAW THE DRIVER PULL UP AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO GET OUT OF THE CAR TO SEE IF I WAS AT THE FRONT DOOR! Isn't a delivery place supposed to call when the customer doesn't come to the door AFTER they walk up to it? Hm so I thought hey lucky number 3, right? Nope. I waited another 30 minutes and at this point it's after midnight and I'm exhausted because I was wasting my time for this stupid order to arrive. So I decided to just cancel the order and get my money back. I appreciate Sean, the online help support chat worker, and whoever answered my call for the refund. They were pleasant and felt terrible for me. I appreciate the coupons they gave me. But this store needs to get their act together with their drivers. If my supposed driver is new then they shouldn't be driving by themselves. And whoever taught them to call the customer before you go up to the door and drive away when there's no answer needs to find a non-delivery job. Thanks for wasting my time for 3 hours. Especially since I have a morning shift at my own work the next day! Next time I'll be ordering, if possible, at 7 pm if the orders are going to take this long read more
