I don't know why I order from this store! In the last 1-2 months they've managed to mess up 3 orders. You'd really think that during a pandemic one of downtown Saint Louis' best late night dessert spots would do better at making sure they delivered a decent experience. Placed an order at 9:15 PM for $35 of food, called at 10 because we received no updates on the tracking app. CSR said our order was next, if we didn't get an update within 20 minutes call back.. called back at 10:50, had someone answer our call put us on hold for 10 minutes then hang up. Was in St. Louis for a convention. Was recommended to check this place out from some people I met. I have a terrible sweet tooth and love trying new spots out. Insomnia Cookie was worth the short walk from our hotel. I went on a Saturday around 6 pm and our group was the only ones there. Its super small and no seating available but that shouldn't stop you from checking out. The cookies and ice cream I had were very good. The cookie was extremely fresh. The Ice cream was very standard but worked well with what I had. I did get to try the butter cream frosting option from a friends order and I would recommend this over ice cream. read more

We're from Tennessee. I can say that I don't even think Nashville has a place like this. It will be something that I will miss as we travel back home. My husband and I are in town visiting for a family vacation. We wanted something sweet late into the night and this place was a sweet surprise. My husband got a variety of things. He got a big which, brownie al la mode, butter pecan ice cream, and a deluxe cookie al la mode. I got a brownie and a strawberry cheesecake ice cream. They were all so good. The cheesecake ice cream reminded me of the ice cream bars in the store. Only downside to an amazing place like this that does deliver... is that they were a little pricy. I hope tonight was the exception, but definitely a horrible experience for me. The driver called and said she was walking into the lobby, so I waited for her but never saw her. I tried calling a couple of times, but she didn't answer. Finally, she answered and told me she had already dropped them off. She delivered to the wrong place and when I tried to explain that, she got real nasty with me. Luckily the front desk at the building she dropped them off at (across and down the street) called me to come pick them up, as my number was on the receipt. The front desk person explained that she told the driver several times that she was at the wrong address, but she insisted on leaving it. So basically she was informed she was at the wrong place, but left my paid for order there anyway. Horrible customer service. Cookies are great, service is pure trash, delivery is 2 hours; although they they give you a half hour estimate; when you call the staff are rude; my driver was nice though he came 1.5 hours after I ordered; this is the 4th or 5th time this happened and each time my order has not been complete -- no exaggeration they have come super late with messed up orders that I now verify the order with the driver before they pull off! I first tried this place a day ago (I mean that literally) and I almost wish I hadn't because I went again today and now have to stop myself from going there several days a week. The peanut butter, chocolate mint, and sugar cookies are ALL delicious if you enjoy those types of cookies.
