Disclaimer: This review is being written before dealing with IG's practices regarding payment and benefit administration. This review also appears on Glassdoor. I applied for a position (IT related) via a job posting site, most likely ZipRecruiter, though I am 100% on that (there were several boards in the mix). I was contacted by one of their reps(Jessica and Theresa), and had a video call that included an additional member of their staff. Once the call was complete they moved quickly along with the process of setting up interviews with the company offering the position. They did several things that I felt made them standout (in a good way) over several other recruiting firms I was also engaged with (about five other firms). 1. They actually contacted my references, this illustrated they care about hiring serious candidates, and to only put forth candidates who they think can actually secure a position. 2. I don'y have a personal printer, and they offered to print out a few copies of my resume to my interviews, not a major item, but it can be the little thing that show they want you to do the best you can in an interview. 3. most other recruiters changed my resume to, in my opinion, sound as droll and bland as everyone else - I happen to quite enjoy my resume and they left it unfettered. 4. They followed up after every step of the way, including after my first and second days to see how everything was going. 5. IG seems like the kind of company where they want to establish good relationships with the company's they offer candidates for - I think this is a great advantage for job seekers as they are able to leverage the reputation of IG to their own ends (one more reason why actually checking references reflects well on them). I am taking a single star off for two reasons, and if this system allowed me to, I would only take off half a star. 1. For one interview, which required me to be escorted by IG staff through security, a handler double booked herself and was unable to be there - I had to make my own arrangements. I genuinely believe this to be an honest scheduling mistake, and it was the only event. 2. The start date was pushed back several times due to negotiations between IG and the company I ended up getting the position with - it ended up only being four days, but it was frustrating because there was not a clear end in sight during that time and made it difficult to plan around. All in all I am very pleased with Insight Global, and think they do a fine job with placing candidates and they have, thus far, been honest and upfront in their communications and dealing with me and I would recommend them. read more

Hector Flores and Chris Houle went above and beyond in listening to what I was looking for and found me the perfect opportunity in record time. Hector was very thorough in asking for the positions that I wanted and the type of companies I would like to work for. From this, along with my resume, he hit the ground running and found me a couple of amazing opportunities within a week that fit my skills and work environment needs perfectly. I was already in the final interviews with other companies that took a few weeks to schedule, so we only decided to apply for one of the positions due to time constraints. Chris was able to expedite in making the interviews happen within a couple of days and even met up with me right before the final interview to make sure I had everything I needed. Since everything went according to plan, I accepted the client's offer the following day. I've worked with a handful of recruiting agencies from both sides, being an employer and a consultant, and Hector and Chris are a cut above. The professional yet personable approach in their attentiveness, efficiency, and due diligence in understanding the needs of their client and how I can provide value to them based on my skills and background was outstanding, and would highly recommend their services for professionals transitioning careers. read more

Interview Process: Position: Technical Lead for Insight Global's Managed Service Division (MSD). Interview was a 2-step process. (1)Recruiter and Account Manager: communicated about past experience, work style, and personality. (2)Practice Director: communicated about past experience, work style and personality. The interview process went quickly, from first contact to accepted offer in about a week. During this time, I had other prospects that dragged on for weeks and had 4 rounds of interviews. Onboarding: *IG is streamed-lined however onboarding at customer site is tedious, after 6 weeks don't have company network access or permanent badges. *My team's very responsive to impediments solving hardware, software or HR issues quickly if it's in their domain some slowness comes from corporate or customer red-tape. *Area to improve, onboarding MSD team with customer. I liked the quick, friendly interview process, days between 1st, 2nd interview and job offer. IG focuses on building high quality applications in a timely matter with humility, respect for one another, and collaboration, which aligns to my working style. I lost my job in February as Covid was making its way and was very hesitant to work with a recruiting firm. My first conversation with Sarah Hershberger changed all that. Sarah listened compassionately to my frustration of losing a job and how organizations were shifting during this time...Sarah took a very stressed out professional and calmed me and talked about what I was looking for and did not throw opportunities to just make a deal. In early Summer I left the job I had been with for a year to pursue a better opportunity which fell and left me unemployed and seriously bummed. After having a traumatic experience with another agency, I wound up securing a job through Insight with an amazing recruiter. What establishes Insight from other agencies is that when I was suddenly let go from the position they hired me for, my recruiter actually got a little emotional for me, having known the last few months of job hunting hadn't been going well for me. She went to bat for me and instantly got me back in the game with another interview with a opportunity that fit me like a glove. Other agencies would let you go and you not here from your recruiter for weeks, if not ever. It meant a lot to me that my employment mattered to her and the project manager. I was passively looking for a new opportunity in the IT field in the Portland/Vancouver area for about 6 month's. Applied for a few job posting a week. I've worked with many recruiters where I was ghosted many times. Lindsey Forde reached out to me after seeing my resume. We set up a call and discussed what I was looking for in a new role. After giving Lindsey my requirements and discussing my skills and work experience, she quickly referred me to a handful of positions and quickly set me up with an in-person interview with herself and an account manager, Theresa Hollerbach. I've been contracting for many years and never have I had the total support, caring, trust, and all around good vibe as I've had with Insight Global and the staff. Taylor Barrows and Allison Lawson have gone above the standard call of duty in making me feel wanted and did everything in their power to transition from explaining the position, asking me what it was I wanted and even walking through all the paperwork. I had given up trying to find a new job when Carlie messaged me on LinkedIn with a job lead that was exactly what I was hoping for. I was able to do a video interview right away, then a second interview shortly after. Carlie interfaced tirelessly with the employer's account manager and HR, as well as the hiring supervisor. She was extremely encouraging, honest, and open about the job, the process, and everything happening on both sides. After the second interview, she relayed that the employer was going with a different candidate, which was disappointing, but she was ready with a couple other jobs that she had lined up for me. This staffing agency is my favorite because of the team's responsiveness, availability, soft skills, and strong connections to a wide variety of hiring managers. Technical Recruiter Syrina Revis (with contagious enthusiasm) closely listens to a candidate's needs, preferences and background to offer up the best, the RIGHT potential employers. Both she and Account Manager Wesley Wachob helped me land an interview with a semiconductor "giant", and although it didn't materialize because the opening was put hold for now, the two of them have continued to seek other high-end positions for me. Syrina and I connect weekly to discuss changes and new possibilities. Who else does that?!? Lastly, another thing I appreciate is that if any recruiter is unavailable to take a phone call, whichever teammate answers can often provide an updated status and a high-end "concierge level" of service that matters so much. read more

It took some time for me to locate them inside the building as the directory is huge, then got very confused locating the elevator. Finally I hit the 48th floor got off and walked in picked up the phone and someone was right out to seat me. Offered me coffee or water, COFFEE please. Set me up in a room where I waited for Ilyssa Holt, we talked about the position and pay, and it sounded good. Went down to the on-site interview within a few days and got the job.
