A Staffing Agency That Truly Cares About the People They Represent I have had a professional relationship with Staffing Solutions, LLC, and specifically with Nicholas Martin (Nick), the owner, for approximately 18 months as a candidate seeking employment. While my candidacy ultimately did not result in permanent full-time employment, my experience with Nick and his Account Executive, Karin Challis, has been exceptionally positive. What has stood out to me most is the way they treat you as a person. Throughout my time working with them, I was consistently treated as a priority--with genuine respect, consideration, and compassion. Nick and Karin made a sincere effort to understand my experience, goals, and what I was looking for in my next opportunity. They put me forward for quality positions and interviews where they believed I could be a good fit, rather than simply sending my résumé out indiscriminately. Both Nick and Karin have always been accessible, responsive, personable, and professional. They listen carefully, communicate clearly, pay attention to details, and follow through. But beyond those important qualities, they bring something that I have found surprisingly rare in the staffing industry: a genuinely human touch. When you work with Nick and Karin, you don't feel like you're simply another candidate in a system. You feel like you're working with people who actually care about what happens to you. At times, it genuinely feels like you have friends in your corner who want to see you succeed. That matters even more in today's employment market. The job market is difficult, competitive, and often discouraging, and I have seen firsthand how challenging it can be for both candidates and employers. Through all of that, Nick and Karin have continued to approach their work with a positive attitude, persistence, and genuine concern for the people they serve. Even when an opportunity doesn't work out, they don't make you feel forgotten. For a candidate, that kind of relationship is invaluable. You want someone representing you who will listen, understand your circumstances, communicate with you, and advocate for you. For an employer, I believe those same qualities make Staffing Solutions an excellent partner--because people who take the time to understand candidates are much better positioned to make thoughtful, quality matches. I would gladly recommend Staffing Solutions, LLC to both job seekers and employers. Their professionalism is excellent, but their greatest strength is the personal investment they make in the people they work with. In my experience, Nick and Karin don't just provide staffing services. They build relationships, and they genuinely care about the people behind the résumé. That is what sets them apart. read more

Having just been hired by the firm that Sloan Reed found for me I can enthusiastically recommend both Staffing Solutions, and in particular, Sloan Reed. Sloan at all times worked professionally, responsively, diligently and effectively to find the right work for me and the right worker for the firm. She has great intuitive understanding of both people and the workplace and tremendous empathy and skill. A pleasure to work with. read more

Update: I left the job that I got through Staffing Solutions after three years, and went back to Staffing Solutions to help me find a new one. AGAIN Zeta got me a job within a few days. That was two years ago, and I'm still here, and I love the company I work for. I will admit that I was a bit scared of Zeta when I first met her, but I will shout it from the rooftops that SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING! I am eternally grateful to her and her team. read more

I've worked with a lot of temp agencies, but Staffing Solutions is just great. I really appreciated how engaging and efficient Matt and Brandon were (are) and I hope to work with them again in the near future. Go see them! They will treat you like you matter! read more

Staffing Solutions was so good to me. I worked with them for two months and in that time they sent me on a decent amount of interviews and great short-term gigs while I applied for jobs on my own. They were super polite, honest, and accommodating. They offered great advice for my interviews and worked hard to set me up for success. Even though I didn't get a job through them, I believe they helped me gain the confidence to land the job I did get! I will definitely come back to them if I find myself in the job market again. Thank you, Samuel and Zeta! read more

Staffing Solutions is far and away one of the best agencies in Portland. Samuel Newman was extremely helpful, and was able to find and secure me a great position in my field within days! Would definitely recommend Staffing Solutions to anyone looking for career opportunities. read more

After calling 4 times to follow up, the staff member who was initially enthusiastic about assisting me with my job search and who initially suggested several job options never called me back. Disappointed in my experience overall. read more

Rose is such a gem! I had never used a staffing agency before and didn't know what to expect, but her genuineness and enthusiasm instantly put me at ease. While the position I was initially interested in turned out to not be the best fit, she had another opportunity that she thought would work well and set up an interview. I went in, loved the job and company, and received an offer a few days later. Amazing! I unfortunately was not able to follow through with the position due to unforeseen circumstances (on my end), but the entire process was an absolute dream and I felt confident and supported the entire time, with Rose always ready to answer any questions I had and offer helpful advice. Staffing Solutions really wants to see you succeed and they do an excellent job. I cannot recommend this agency enough! read more

I was deeply dreading signing up to a staffing agency as a temp - tedious and frustrating tests, re-writing your resume by hand, unsmiling and unsympathetic faces - but saw the great reviews for Staffing Solutions and thought I'd test the waters as I didn't have much to lose. And the experience was beyond what I could have expected. Once I'd completed my (still tedious and frustrating) tests, Kindra gave me an interview which left me feeling assured that I wasn't just another chicken on the production line, but a prize-winning hen at the Portland fair. Okay, so farmyard analogies are pretty weird. But we actually hit it off on a personal level, and she remained in contact with me until I was placed (within weeks, but results may vary). Immediately after my first day on the job, she messaged me to see how it had gone - you honestly cannot ask for much more than that in relation to attentiveness and care in getting placed with a job. She's kinda amazing. And to confirm that SS is a bit of an anomaly, I also signed up to another highly rated staffing agency (on Kindra's advice) and had the complete opposite experience - disinterest, unprofessional, and have not heard a peep from them since. It's said a lot, but I honestly cannot recommend both the agency and Kinda (if you're lucky) enough. She listens, she cares, and she does what's in her power to get you the job that best matches your needs. Keep in mind that these people aren't wizards - you might have to take what you can get in this tricky job market - but I genuinely believe that their ultimate goal is happiness and satisfaction on both ends, and due to this they very much deserve both their reputation and 5 star rating on Yelp. read more

Staffing Solutions is hands-down the best temp agency in Portland/Vancouver. Period. I was unemployed for 7 months, signed on with about 8 temp agencies/staffing companies, and Staffing Solutions was the *only* one that actually got me paid work in that 7 months. And actually it was all through Sam Newman. He is THE guy to know when you're unemployed. I recommend anyone, whether straight out of high school or mid-career later in life transition to call Sam. He assists with resumes, is great at follow up, and really makes you feel like you are the only account he has, even though he has dozens. In order to get signed up you will go through a 1-1.5 hour intake interview with him, in person, and it's totally worth it. I could have stayed employed through Staffing Solutions almost full time had I not gotten a job through a friend. Staffing Solutions was a life-saver for me and my family. read more

I applied to Staffing Solutions in late May, letting them know I wouldn't be in Portland until mid July. As soon as I got back they were calling me, letting me know of assignments they had and whether I wanted to apply for them or further refine the types of jobs I was looking for. Within a week of being in Portland I was placed at a job I ultimately was hired on permanently for. I interviewed initially with Zeta, who spent a long time talking with me to help me firm up my short term and long term goals career wise and what I wanted to get out of working with a temp agency. Once I got back it was Sam who contacted me to keep me informed of job opportunities and to check in in how I liked my placement. Overall a very attentive, we'll run company whom I will certainly go back to if I need short term work. I have been recommending them to all my friends. I particularly liked their attitude towards fresh graduates. It can feel very intimidating going into an office setting from laid back work-study and they had plenty of time and advice to share without making me feel young and dumb for not knowing. Zeta also gave me advice on where to live in Portland that would be both safe and within a reasonable bus ride to most placements with them. read more

This firm is hands down the best temp and placement agency in Portland. Linda Vega is amazing, and I was disappointed to hear she had left when I was looking for a position with a law firm. Thankfully her predecessor, Rose, hooked me up. She listened to what I was looking for and paired me with a firm that was a perfect fit. I'm really grateful for her and the Staffing Solutions team. Thank you! read more

Staffing Solutions is the BEST. I had recently lost a long-term, beloved job (due to the company's closure), and I was truly adrift. I had no idea what to do, and all my attempts to reach out to employers were for nothing. It was very discouraging and I needed work. When I called Staffing Solutions, they placed me with Samuel. He met with me, interviewed me, and gave me tips on how to ace future interviews. Within TWO days, he had an assignment for me. It was short term, but it got me back out in the market and networking with new people. He placed me at various assignments, all the while looking for the perfect fit for me. Currently, I am interviewing with a number of companies, all of which are amazing opportunities. I never would have found these positions without Samuel's help. He truly is a wonderful advocate, and he has my best interests at heart. I highly recommend this Staffing Agency. It can be scary to reach out to one, because you have no idea if they are legitimate or reputable. But I can assure you, I have had nothing but positive and wonderful experiences with Staffing Solutions. read more

I am very happy to be working with Staffing Solutions. Sam Newman has been a great help with connecting me to temp work since moving to Portland. From the first meeting I had with Sam I felt like he was in my corner and he really took the time to learn about my skills to ensure I would be a good fit for the company he placed me with. His desire is to ensure you feel equipped before every interview and provide good solid interviewing techniques. I have worked with other staffing agencies and I would say Staffing Solutions is the best by far! Thanks Sam! read more

I was looking to make a change - to find a job with a company that aligned with my personal values and one I could invest my time and energy in for years to come. I met with Rose Tepper about four months into my ideal job search. My meeting with Rose was fantastic and I left feeling like I had someone on my team. She was on board with what I was looking for; a special place that was empowering to women, a place that had room for long term growth, that had a focus on company culture and work life balance, that was socially progressive, that embraced technology and innovative ideas, and more. Rose offered much care, guidance, and enthusiasm along the way. Thank you Rose Tepper and Staffing Solutions. You have helped make a big difference in my life and I am very grateful. read more

I was a little weary about using a staffing agency because I never had before. But I have to say my experience was nothing short of amazing. I had a great experience with Staffing Solutions. Linda and her team really know their market and know where you will be a good fit. Through the years, I have needed to use a staffing agency here and there. When I landed in Portland due to life's twists and turns, I applied for a position they had listed. (I actually did not apply for several positions before this simply because it was with an employment agency. The "dread" factor always overshadowed the positions because the listing was with a temp agency.) Linda and Heather have been nothing but warm, friendly, helpful and actually very enjoyable. I have been extremely comfortable with her gracious concern, her knowledge of the companies in Portland, and her warm professionalism. She has treated me as a "person" and not as a number. She is understanding and encouraging especially when I found a bump in the road. If you ever have had reluctance or hesitancy in using an employment agency, may I suggest you take the plunge with Staffing Solutions? They will take care of you because they are truly wonderful. read more

I was hesitant about using staffing agencies when looking for a job but I had a great experience working with Samuel from Staffing Solutions. He conducted a long interview with me to make sure he knows what I'm looking for. He was very patient (I was not easy!) and helpful, he got me a temporary assignment at a law firm that turned out to me a very good match. He checked in with me after my first day which was very thoughtful. I ended up getting a job on my own and needed to end my temporary assignment earlier and he was very understanding, supportive and simply happy for me. I know I will reach out to Sam again if I ever look for a job again. read more

I needed a front desk/administrative assistant for one of my offices. I had tried the traditional routes and been unsuccessful. A friend of mine referred me to Staffing Solutions and the first few days were amazing. In fact, I called Samuel and asked to have another member sent to work the front desk so that the initial staff member we were sent could focus on data entry so we could integrate our new Electronic Health Record. I even agreed to give her a raise after the first week because I felt her performance warranted a raise. Once she had the raise things went downhill. She wasted 3 days developing systems that only she could understand. Then she did research that had nothing to do with our agency and tried to explain Oregon Administrative Rules that I have worked with for over 2 decades that she simply did not understand. On the day she was scheduled to participate in a screen share with our Medical Record provider she simply quit and did not show. I found out via email from Samuel. This costs us thousands and to add insult to this we were contacted by someone named Zeta stating she would only charge us for the cost of her salary (With the raise) even though it cost our agency for her days of developing useless systems and her unprofessional behavior by walking off with no notice at all. TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL AGENCY AND THE STAFF THEY SEND ARE INCOMPETENT AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY. BEWARE OF STAFFING SOLUTIONS. read more

I have a degree in accounting and experience working in accounting departments. I met with Zeta at Staffing Solutions, and she did absolutely nothing to help me: no interviews, no temp work, nothing. I really wasted my time going to Staffing Solutions. read more

I was unimpressed with the lack of professionalism during the interview. What should have been a good learning opportunity with a temp agency turned into an hour-long session of employee degradation and insult. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Incredible experience. I came to Staffing Solutions without knowing what to expect, having never worked with a staffing agency before. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam Newman who found a great opportunity for me on the very same day. He coached me on interviewing and gave me some great advice. I felt very prepared for my interview and got the job. It paid even more than I told Sam that I was looking for. I am so grateful for all the help and the professionalism. Great group of people. I highly recommend Staffing Solutions and Sam to anyone in the Portland area looking for a good job. read more

If you are looking to get into the working world fast Staffing Solutions can do that!
